    15. returning to podcasting, what I've been doing, and the media I consume

Hey! It's been a while. This one is a bit rambly, but what can I say - I'm out of practice! I talk about what I've been going through this year since my last podcast episode, and then I dive into how I've been evaluating different forms of media and how I consume them. I talk about my experience doing a no-media week and creating forms of content that I actually enjoy using. I don't know if I will be back regularly, but if you're still around, I appreciate you listening! I'm no longer on any forms of social media, so if you wish to contact me, you can comment on Spotify or email me at suealley0@gmail.com.

    14. unemployed life after being a stay-at-home mom

This week, I get very personal about how unemployed life has been for the past few months. I do a little interview with myself, asking questions like: how did you get unemployed? What kind of jobs are you looking for? What are your next steps? I discuss my struggles in finding meaningful work, feeling disconnected from the work I did previously, wishing for a job with less screen time, and being authentic while still being "professional". I reference the episode "On Purpose, Meaning and the Seasons I Lose Both" which you can listen to here: https://spotifycreators-web.app.link/e/ODocLU0Z9Zb For any advice you have for me, you can email me here: suealley0@gmail.com YouTube → @suebeinghuman Substack → @suebeinghuman Instagram → @suebeinghuman

    13. friction-maxxing, slow content & rebelling against Instagram reels

Hello, lovely listeners! Today I'm talking about technology, or more like anti-technology. I take you through an article I read on Friction-Maxxing (which you can read here), along with some YouTube Videos I watched about how being chronocially offline is the new cool (watch here) and how we no longer have hobbies for pleasure (watch here). I also talk about how I no longer want to contribute to brain rot by creating short-form content and will therefore be focusing on long-form content, i.e. YouTube and Substack, especially slow content, which I definitely didn't coin but am pretending I invented. I define slow content as content on social media that motivates or gives the audience permission to unplug from social media through embracing boredom or reading. I'm going to infiltrate the system from the inside!! Anyways, I hope after listening to this, you think about your relationship with technology! 12. returning to childhood joys: barbie phones, hoola hoops, and capturing nature's beauty

The year is just beginning, and I've found myself gravitating towards childhood joys. From buying a Barbie phone to creating a 2026 bingo board filled with fun adventures for my inner child to delight in. I discuss the possibility of how, in becoming more authentic, I am returning to my childhood interests like photography. Life is just too short to be serious all the time, and we need to learn how to play (outside of screens). I hope this podcast leaves you reflecting on what you enjoyed as a child and inspired to find ways to connect to your inner child. This is my first podcast of 2026 and also the first time recording with my new microphone and camera, so I hope you enjoy. 11. becoming an apprentice to my future role model self

It's the new year! and I'm sick as a dog :( But I pulled out what I call a "personal podcast" which I recorded last summer. Basically, it was back when I had a dream of having my own podcast, but felt like I was stuck creating for external validation, so I recorded some "personal podcasts" that I wasn't planning on sharing with anyone. But alas, here I am. ;D In this episode, I talk about seeing who I want to become and feeling frustrated by not being able to be her now. Embodiment takes time. I talk about what this "future role model self" looks like, what I envision her to be interested in, what qualities she has. I also touch on my vision for a creative portfolio career and leading by example. Hope you enjoy! Instagram → @suebeinghuman

    10. anger: reactivity, mom rage & pushing walls

In this episode, I talk about anger. It's one of my least favorite emotions on the spectrum, and I don't like myself when I'm angry. I used to identify with having a temper, and I reflect on my history with reactivity, and how becoming a parent to a toddler has brought this emotion back into my body in ways I wasn’t prepared for. I share tools my somatic therapist has taught me to safely move anger through the body. This episode also briefly touches on self-harm, so please take care while listening and skip if this feels activating for you. There are some spiritual tidbits sprinkled throughout, so I hope you enjoy. Instagram → @suebeinghuman

    9. when things don't go as planned and the absurdity of advice

In this episode, the plan went out the window. I had an outline, a topic, a neat little structure, but none of it felt right. So I tossed it and hit record anyway. I talk about the joy of doing things alone, how freeing it is to try new experiences. I also talk about why I think most advice is ultimately pointless, because deep down, we already know the truth we’re searching for. I also share why I’m craving more stillness in my life: more doing nothing, more contemplation, more sitting with myself instead of constantly seeking entertainment. This episode is a reminder that sometimes you just gotta let yourself flow with life. Instagram → @suebeinghuman

    8. my word for the year: from inner work to limitless

In this episode, I dive into one of my favorite yearly rituals: choosing a word of the year - a theme that sets the tone for how I want to grow, feel, and move through my life. I revisit the words I’ve chosen in the past and share how each one shaped me in unexpected ways. I talk about this year’s word, Inner Work, and how it became the catalyst for dismantling fears, uncovering old stories, and reconnecting with my most authentic self. Then I reveal my word for next year: Limitless - and why I chose it. I explore what it means to view life as expansive, to release self-imposed constraints, and to step boldly beyond the beliefs that once held me back. If you’re curious about setting an intention for the year ahead, or you’re craving a fresh way to guide your growth, this episode will inspire you to choose a word that speaks to your soul and invites something new into your life.
