Episode 8: Signers of the Declaration of Independence

Welcome to Our RepublicWe’re talking about the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Fifty-six men who decided it’d be a great idea to poke the most powerful empire on earth with a stick — and then sign their names to prove it. Not anonymous rebels. Not masked rioters. Actual names, written in ink, saying: “Yeah, we’re all in.”MORE INFORMATION:From 1 Sept 2025 - 1 July 2026 we are releasing 250 episodes to honor our nations 250th celebration. Episode 6: Jefferson s Rough Draft - What was cut and why

Welcome to Our RepublicJefferson’s rough draft of the Declaration of Independence — aka, the version where Thomas Jefferson went full heavy-metal frontman, and then Congress came in with scissors and turned it into smooth jazz.Everybody knows the Declaration we read every July 4th. “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” Beautiful. Inspiring. Goosebumps stuff. But what most people don’t know is that Jefferson’s first draft was way spicier. It had lines so brutal they would’ve made King George spit out his tea — and Congress was like, “Uh, Tom, maybe tone it down a notch before we all get executed.”MORE INFORMATION:From 1 Sept 2025 - 1 July 2026 we are releasing 250 episodes to honor our nations 250th celebration. Episode 5: The Writing of the Declaration of Independence

Welcome to Our RepublicThe Declaration of Independence. The document that basically told the most powerful empire on Earth: “Hey King George, you suck, and we’re out.” But here’s the thing — this wasn’t just some angry Yelp review against Britain. It was carefully written, debated, edited, and argued over by guys who knew that signing it might be the last thing they ever did. So let’s break down how this thing came to life.MORE INFORMATION:From 1 Sept 2025 - 1 July 2026 we are releasing 250 episodes to honor our nations 250th celebration. Episode 4: The Road to Independence - Why 1776 Mattered

Welcome to Our RepublicToday, we’re diving into why 1776 actually mattered. Spoiler: it’s not just because America got a really expensive birthday party with fireworks. Nope. It’s because everything leading up to that year was like a slow-motion car crash—everybody saw it coming, everybody knew it was gonna be ugly, and then BOOM—1776. Independence. Revolution. Whole new nation. “Here’s the thing — America didn’t just wake up one morning and say, ‘You know what, screw Britain, let’s do our own thing.’ This was decades in the making.MORE INFORMATION:From 1 Sept 2025 - 1 July 2026 we are releasing 250 episodes to honor our nations 250th celebration. Episode 3: The Golden Thread: The Providence of God

Welcome to Our RepublicAlright, folks, buckle up. Today we’re diving into something called The Golden Thread. No, it’s not Gandalf’s side quest in Lord of the Rings. It’s the idea that God’s providence—His guiding hand—runs straight through American history like some divine sewing machine keeping this whole crazy quilt together. Sounds dramatic, right? Well, spoiler: it is. But it’s also hilarious when you realize just how many times America should’ve faceplanted into oblivion and somehow didn’t.” Think of a massive tapestry. The Golden Thread is the filament that not only holds it together, but makes the whole thing shine. Without it, the fabric falls apart. With it, the design makes sense and carries value. In American history, that thread is God’s hand — sometimes in ways people saw clearly, sometimes in ways they didn’t see until later. Either way, without that thread, America doesn’t become America. The Golden Thread. Some call it luck, some call it chance, but I say it’s God weaving His way through the tapestry of American history. Episode 2: For Future Generations: Why "Our Republic" Exists.

Welcome to Our Republic.George Mason put it: “No free government, nor the blessing of liberty, can be preserved to any people but by a frequent recurrence to fundamental principles.”Translation: if you don’t go back to the basics, your government will eat itself alive.People are walking around throwing out “my rights this, my rights that,” but most of it’s opinion, not facts. They’ve got no clue what those rights really are or how they’re written and protected in our founding documents. So that’s why we’re here. This show’s whole mission is to actually inform you of your rights based on what the Founding Fathers intended. I will do my best to focus on original intent. Not what some talking head on TV says. Not what your weird uncle screams about on Facebook. Not some 1960’s liberal judges, or current republican or democrat representatives’ uneducated interpretation. Let’s be honest, most of them probably have never read our founding documents. I know I hadn't and I was in the military for 11 years. BUT, original intent is what I will focus on. The roots. The foundations of the Republic. That’s why this podcast exists—for you, for your kids, for future generations.
