Biophilia and Democracy, Learning to Communicate with Gratitude

In episode 4, we reconnect with Bill Bright, an old family friend from Vermont, sharing personal stories about growing up there, his passion for basketball, and his experiences working on Capitol Hill with Senator Leahy. We explore Biophilic Democracy through the perspectives of Natasha Iskander and Nichola Lowe, linking it to caring for nature. David Orr's article "Greener Democracy" highlights how nature benefits children and society. Bill and I reflect on how outdoor play as kids helped us explore the world, solve problems, connect with people from different backgrounds, and learn to communicate with empathy and gratitude. How might fostering a deeper connection to nature influence our democracy and community life today?

LUXO Green: Finding Gratitude, Luxury, and Wellness

This morning, I am excited to catch up with Kesia and Will Arnold from Norfluxe Realty. I was introduced to Kee and Will through my husband, who used to work with Will. This personal connection, along with their core value of treating clients like family, has made our two home-buying and selling experiences with them feel like we've gained close friends and family. Last year, we decided to sell the house where we lived with my parents and move to an area with better public schools for our son — a fresh start. I remember one of our many conversations from that year when we were deeply involved in selling our house. We talked about family, finding meaning in it when family passes away, and discovering gratitude.
