    Dreams Don't Pay Rent

Devin came to Los Angeles to work in film  not to fold jeans under fluorescent lights. In this episode, Devin shares the honest, unglamorous side of chasing a dream in L.A.: one‑day production gigs, delayed paychecks, low funds, and the moment pride had to step aside so rent could get paid. From a pre‑Oscars party at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills to clocking in at Forever 21 in the Beverly Center, selling a laptop to buy another month in the city, and even giving relationship advice to strangers online for $100, this is the story of what it really costs to stay in the City of Angels long enough for the dream to grow. The episode closes with a Hello, Hot L.A. segment featuring an oceanfront escape in Laguna Beach, a downtown temple of books, and the mall that quietly became part of this survival story. Every city has a story — and this one begins with hello. 🎙️ Hello, L.A.: Stranger in Los Angeles shares real stories about starting over, chasing dreams, and finding belonging in the City of Angels. ✨ New episodes every week. 📱 Follow the journey: Instagram | Facebook | TikTok → @hellolapodcast http://www.instagram.com/hellolapodcast https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61582552262179 https://www.tiktok.com/@hellolapodcast RSS Feed: https://feeds.buzzsprout.com/2541335.rss 🌐 Coming soon: hellolapodcast.com

The People You Meet at Banana Bungalow

After arriving in Los Angeles with a suitcase and a dream,Devin discovers that sometimes the real magic of starting over isn’t found in places,  it’s found in people. In this episode, you’ll meet the unforgettable characters from the Banana Bungalow Hostel: Helena, the soulful guitarist who sings in two languages; a fearless group of travelers who turn a hike to the Hollywood Sign into friendship; and the Miami-born artist who makes an Impulsive Vegas road trip legendary. Together they create the messy, joyful, found-family that helps a newcomer (Devin) feel a little less like a stranger. Every city has a story — and this one begins with hello. 🎙️ Hello, L.A.: Stranger in Los Angeles shares real stories about starting over, chasing dreams, and finding belonging in the City of Angels. ✨ New episodes every week. 📱 Follow the journey: Instagram | Facebook | TikTok → @hellolapodcast http://www.instagram.com/hellolapodcast https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61582552262179 https://www.tiktok.com/@hellolapodcast RSS Feed: https://feeds.buzzsprout.com/2541335.rss 🌐 Coming soon: hellolapodcast.com

    Moving to Los Angeles

In the very first episode of Hello, L.A., Devin shares the raw, emotional, and unexpectedly beautiful story of her move to Los Angeles. With a one-way ticket, $1,500 in hand, and a heart full of hope. From booking a stay at the infamous Banana Bungalow Hostel to getting lost on city buses and feeling the chaos of Hollywood Boulevard for the first time, this episode captures what it truly means to arrive in a city that never slows down for the first time. But beneath the dream lies something deeper — grief, courage, and the search for belonging. Through laughter, loss, and late-night karaoke, My Move to Los Angeles, reminds us that every beginning is also a reckoning with who we’ve been… and who we’re becoming.
