When Everything Around You Is Shaking | God Is Still Your Refuge | Psalm 91

When Everything Around You Is Shaking | God Is Still Your Refuge | Psalm 91 What do you do when life changes in a way you never expected? A phone call. A relationship shift. A financial setback. A family crisis. A loss. A season where everything that once felt steady suddenly doesn’t. In Episode 6 of Under His Wings, the final episode in our 6-part Half-A-Dime Podcast series through Psalm 91, we’re talking about what it means to trust God when life itself feels uncertain. Psalm 91:2 says: “I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.’” Trust does not mean pretending something doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t mean you never cry, question, grieve, or feel afraid. Sometimes faith looks like saying: “God, I don’t understand this, but I’m staying.” In this episode, Corinne talks about how difficult seasons can shake more than our circumstances. They can shake our identity, our confidence, and the roles we thought defined us. Divorce. Retirement. Estrangement. Children leaving home. Relationship changes. Financial uncertainty. Loss. Getting older. Unexpected transitions. When those things happen, we can find ourselves asking: Who am I now? But roles change. Circumstances change. People change. Your worth does not. And God remains steady. We’ll also talk about choosing a simple refuge phrase for the moments when fear rises: “God is still steady.” The situation may have changed. God is still steady. You may not know what happens next. God is still steady. You may feel afraid today. God is still steady. That is the heart of Psalm 91. Not the promise of a life without difficulty. But the promise of knowing where to dwell when difficulty comes. Under His wings. In His presence. Within His care. As we close this series, remember: You don’t have to absorb the world’s noise. You don’t have to solve tomorrow tonight. You don’t have to carry everyone else’s chaos. You don’t have to let fear build the boundaries of your life. You don’t have to keep proving your worth. And when everything around you is shaking, you still have a refuge. Stay close to God. Protect your peace. Remember where your worth comes from. And take the next right step. Half-A-Dime — for the woman healing, rising & returning to God. And that’s my five cents’ worth. ❤️

The Quiet Traps Stealing Your Peace | Comparison, People-Pleasing & Psalm 91

The Quiet Traps Stealing Your Peace | Comparison, People-Pleasing & Psalm 91 What if the things stealing your peace don’t look dangerous at all? In Episode 5 of Under His Wings, our 6-part Half-A-Dime Podcast series through Psalm 91, we’re talking about the quiet traps that can slowly wear us down without us even realizing it. Comparison. People-pleasing. Overcommitting. Trying to prove yourself. Constant productivity. Saying yes when everything inside you wants to say no. Psalm 91:3 says: “Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler…” A snare is a hidden trap. And some of the most powerful traps in modern life are the ones that look completely normal. You scroll through social media and suddenly feel behind. You say yes because you don’t want someone to be disappointed. You work harder because somewhere deep inside, you still feel like you need to prove your worth. In this episode, Corinne talks about how to recognize the moments when your peace begins to disappear, how comparison and people-pleasing can quietly become connected to your sense of worth, and why freedom often begins by noticing the trap before automatically stepping into it. We’ll explore questions like: What thought did I just agree with? Whose approval am I trying to earn? Am I doing this from peace—or from the need to prove myself? Because another woman’s success does not make you less successful. Someone else’s beauty does not make you less beautiful. And someone’s disappointment does not automatically mean you’ve done something wrong. Your worth was never meant to be determined by comparison, productivity, approval, or someone else’s opinion. This week’s five-cent practice is simple: Name one trap. Notice it. Pause when it appears. And choose one different response. Sometimes freedom doesn’t come through one dramatic breakthrough. Sometimes freedom begins by recognizing the trap a little sooner each time. Stay close to God. Protect your peace. Remember where your worth comes from. And take the next right step. Half-A-Dime — for the woman healing, rising & returning to God. And that’s my five cents’ worth. ❤️

What If Fear Isn’t Protecting You Anymore? | Faith Over Fear & God’s Protection | Psalm 91

What If Fear Isn’t Protecting You Anymore? | Faith Over Fear & God’s Protection | Psalm 91 What if the thing you’ve been calling “being careful” is actually fear keeping you from moving forward? In Episode 4 of Under His Wings, our 6-part Half-A-Dime Podcast series through Psalm 91, we’re talking about the sometimes blurry line between godly wisdom and fear. Psalm 91:11–12 reminds us of God’s care and protection: “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.” Fear can be convincing. It tells us to wait, stay hidden, avoid the risk, keep quiet, or remain exactly where we are because at least there we know what to expect. And sometimes caution really is wisdom. But sometimes “I’m just being careful” is another way of saying: I’m afraid. In this episode, Corinne talks about how fear can quietly shrink our lives, how to recognize when caution has become a cage, and why trusting God doesn’t mean living recklessly—it means learning to move when He leads. We’ll also explore the connection between fear and worth. What if you fail? What if someone rejects you? What if you try and it doesn’t work? Do any of those things actually change who you are in God? This week’s five-cent practice is simple: Identify one thing fear has been talking you out of and take one wise, prayerful step toward it. Because God’s protection isn’t meant to become a cage. It gives us the courage to walk where He leads. Stay close to God. Protect your peace. Remember where your worth comes from. And take the next right step. Half-A-Dime — for the woman healing, rising & returning to God. And that’s my five cents’ worth. ❤️

When Other People’s Chaos Tries to Become Yours | Protect Your Peace | Psalm 91 Under His Wings

When Other People’s Chaos Tries to Become Yours | Protect Your Peace | Psalm 91 Have you ever had someone else’s problem land in your lap and, before you even realized what happened, you were carrying it as if it belonged to you? In Episode 3 of Under His Wings, our 6-part Half-A-Dime Podcast series through Psalm 91, we’re talking about one of the hardest things for caring women to learn: You can love people without carrying their chaos. Family drama. Workplace tension. Gossip. Emotional outbursts. Repeated crises. Someone else’s anger, disappointment, or poor choices. When you’re naturally compassionate, responsible, or used to being the peacemaker, it can be incredibly easy to step into problems God never assigned to you. Psalm 91:13 gives us a powerful picture of walking over dangerous things rather than allowing them to overpower us. In everyday life, that often looks like discernment. In this episode, Corinne talks about the difference between loving someone and becoming emotionally responsible for them, why another person’s reaction does not determine your worth, and how healthy boundaries can actually protect both your peace and your relationships. We’ll also work through three simple questions: Is this mine to carry? Is this mine to fix? Is this mine to respond to? Because not every problem requires your intervention. Sometimes love looks like helping. Sometimes love looks like praying. Sometimes love looks like speaking truth. And sometimes love looks like stepping back and allowing God to work where you cannot. You don’t have to attend every argument you’re invited to. You don’t have to fix everything. And you don’t have to surrender your peace just because someone else has lost theirs. When Your Mind Won’t Shut Off | Finding Peace in the Night | Psalm 91 Under His Wings

When Your Mind Won’t Shut Off | Finding Peace in the Night | Psalm 91 Have you ever gone to bed exhausted, only to have your mind suddenly decide it’s time to replay every conversation, worry about tomorrow, think about your family, your finances, your future — and maybe something embarrassing you said 20 years ago? In Episode 2 of Under His Wings, our 6-part Half-A-Dime Podcast series through Psalm 91, we’re talking about what happens when worry gets louder at night. Psalm 91:5 reminds us: “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night…” Sometimes fear doesn’t look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like lying awake at 2:00 a.m. trying to solve problems that simply cannot be solved tonight. In this episode, Corinne talks about the difference between wise preparation and endless mental spinning, why worry can feel productive even when it isn’t, and how faith invites us to recognize when thinking has stopped helping and fear has taken over. We’ll also talk about a simple nightly practice: What is mine to do? What belongs to God? Because you don’t need to solve your entire life before morning. You can make the phone call tomorrow. You can take the next step tomorrow. You can deal with what is yours to deal with. And tonight, you can rest. God is still God at 2:00 a.m. And tomorrow is still His territory. When the World Gets Loud, Psalms 91 Go Under His Wings

Episode 1 Description — When the World Gets Loud, Go Under His Wings What happens when the world around you gets so loud that you can barely hear yourself think—let alone recognize the peace of God? In Episode 1 of Under His Wings, our 6-part Half-A-Dime series through Psalm 91, we begin with the beautiful invitation found in Psalm 91:1: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” We live surrounded by noise—breaking news, social media, family concerns, responsibilities, opinions, notifications, expectations, and sometimes the nonstop conversation happening inside our own minds. And without realizing it, we can begin carrying far more than God ever asked us to carry. In this episode, Corinne talks about what it means to dwell with God rather than simply running to Him when life becomes overwhelming. We’ll explore the difference between caring about what is happening around us and emotionally absorbing it all, why peace doesn’t require everything in our lives to be resolved, and how easily we can begin living under the shadow of other people’s expectations instead of the Almighty's. You’ll also receive a simple practice for the week: ten quiet minutes with God—no phone, no fixing, no pressure to have the perfect prayer. Just an opportunity to return to the place where your heart can become still again. Because the goal isn’t to create a life where nothing ever gets loud. It’s to become a woman who knows where to go when it does. The world can be loud without becoming loud inside you. Grab your Bible, pour your coffee, and join me under His wings. Stay close to God. Protect your peace. Remember where your worth comes from. And take the next right step. That’s my five cents’ worth for today. 7 Biblical Pillars

In this episode, we explore what it really means to build a God-aligned business or creative venture. A God-aligned business is not simply about adding faith language to your work. It is about allowing God to shape the foundation, motives, message, methods, and the way you serve others. We’ll walk through seven biblical pillars: • Surrender the work to God before building the strategy • Create from identity, not insecurity • Serve people instead of simply selling to them • Steward your gifts, time, money, and influence faithfully • Lead and market with honesty and integrity • Work diligently without falling into striving • Measure success by fruit, not only followers, income, or recognition If you have been trying to build, create, or move forward in your own strength, this conversation is an invitation to release the pressure and begin partnering with God through the creative process. You can still create plans, build offers, market your work, and pursue growth. The difference is that you are no longer asking your business to prove your worth. You are learning to steward what God has placed in your hands.
