Tyler opens up about his own battle with prescription drug addiction, beginning with pain pills and eventually escalating into years of Adderall, Ambien, Xanax, opioids, manipulation, multiple treatment centers, and prescription fraud. On the outside he was working in medicine and building a career. Behind the scenes, addiction was destroying his marriage, his trust, and nearly everything he had built. Eventually Tyler reached a point where he had to make a decision: keep hiding or tell the truth. He confessed what he had done, reported himself to the medical board and DEA, surrendered his controlled substance license, and accepted whatever consequences came next. Instead of running from his past, Tyler says honesty became the foundation of his recovery. Today, Tyler is back at Renaissance Ranch helping hundreds of people every month.
