    When the Word Becomes Heard

😔 You know all the words. That is what makes it worse. Grace. Mercy. The blood. The cross. With you always. You can say every one of them in a parking lot and mean it — and you have not heard God in any of them for longer than you want to admit out loud.  You have started to wonder whether there is Anybody inside the language. 💔 Nobody warns you that you can lose a verse by keeping it. 🔥 Two men walked seven miles the wrong direction with the risen Christ opening the Scriptures to them. Men who had it memorized. They did not recognize Him — and something started burning in them before either one could name it. This episode is about the distance between having a word and hearing one. Why Paul puts hearing in front of faith and not study 📖. What the writer of Hebrews meant when he told a room full of believers they had gone dull of hearing. And why God has never once been far enough away to need to shout. 🕊️ He does not speak to you from across the room.  He speaks in you. 💛 🎧 Press play. Then go read the one verse you stopped reading — and send this to the one person you know who has all the language and has gone quiet. 🕊️ Remember, God loves you, and so do we! ❤️‍🔥 Important Notice: If a Bible study was offered with an episode on any of our shows, please include in the Subject line: [name of podcast & name of episode], then the word 'study guide'. The Sower, the Seed, and the Soil

🌱 You heard the same sentence he did. Eleven feet away, same room, same minute — and it opened that man like a seam while you sat there wondering if the Mexican place would have a wait. You have never told anybody about that morning. Episode nine of The Longing Is the Clue walks into the parable of the sower — Matthew 13 — and takes apart the theory you have carried for years: that something is wrong with the soil, and the soil is you. 🌾 You will hear why the four soils are not four grades of person, why all four of them hear, why worry does not kill ground but divides it, and what Isaiah 55 means when God says His word will not return empty. 🚜 Stop sorting yourself. A soil is not a species. Nobody is born limestone — and ground that would not take seed in March takes it in October. 🙏 ▶️ Press play. 🔔 Follow the show — episode ten answers the question this one leaves standing. 📤 Then send it to somebody convinced they are the wrong kind of dirt. 💬 #ParableOfTheSower #MatthewThirteen #TheSowerTheSeedAndTheSoil #ChristianPodcast #BibleStudyPodcast #DailyDevotional #FaithOverFear #GodIsStillWorking #HearingFromGod #WordOfGod #Isaiah55 #ItWillNotReturnVoid #SpiritualGrowth #ChristianEncouragement #BibleTeaching #FourSoils #GoodSoil #ChristianMen #PrayerLife #HopeInHardTimes #GodsTiming #ScriptureStudy #GreekWordStudy #FatherGod #ChristianPodcastsForMen 🕊️ Remember, God loves you, and so do we! ❤️‍🔥 Important Notice: If a Bible study was offered with an episode on any of our shows, please include in the Subject line: [name of podcast & name of episode], then the word 'study guide'. The Gift That Cannot Be Bought

🥘 You've been standing in the pantry eleven minutes. The dish isn't yours. It came Thursday, four days after the funeral — white ceramic, a chip out of the near corner. You've washed it twice. The second time wasn't because it was dirty. 😔  And you cannot take it back empty. 🫙 Here's the part you've never said out loud: she cooked for you and you cannot cook back — and you've spent eleven minutes proving it. You'd rather have been the one on the porch.  📖 This episode takes you to a card table at a Tuscaloosa farmers market, where a man with a bandaged thumb gives away handmade crosses under one word of cardboard. FREE. ✝️ A stranger reaches for his wallet anyway — and the man puts his hand up and says the whole doctrine in ten words: if you pay me for it, it is not what it is. 🙌 Then the Father speaks. You'll find out why the word for grace has joy and thanksgiving in its family — and no word in it for repaying. 🔑 You cannot get even with God. That's not a failure in the arrangement. That's the arrangement. ⚖️ ▶️ Press play. Then wash the dish and take it back empty. 🍽️ Tell one person what that cost you. 💬 Send this to somebody who never lets you buy. 📤 Follow for Episode 8. 🔔  📖 Ephesians 2:8–9 · Romans 6:23 · Romans 14:23 · Romans 10:17 · 1 Corinthians 2:1–5 (AMPC) · 2 Timothy 3:14–15 · Matthew 5:23–24 · Luke 3:14 🕊️ Remember, God loves you, and so do we! ❤️‍🔥 Important Notice: If a Bible study was offered with an episode on any of our shows, please include in the Subject line: [name of podcast & name of episode], then the word 'study guide'. The Thing You Have Not Said Out Loud to God

🛒 You had the thought — then talked yourself out of it before you got to the car. Four days later you had it again, faster. 😔 A song in a grocery store at 6:52 on a Tuesday. A stranger who said have a blessed day. Your daughter at the sink, asking if you still pray. You've started counting, and told nobody you're counting. 🌙 The question keeping you up isn't why is this happening. It's: am I doing this to myself? This episode answers with a verb. 📖 When Jesus said no one comes to Me unless the Father draws him, He chose the word John uses for hauling a net toward a boat — not towing one behind it. 🎣 Force, and a destination. A boy answered three times before he knew who was calling. 🕯️ A man woke on a stone: surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it. 🪨 You didn't start this. You answered. ✝️ ▶️ Press play. Then open that note on your phone and change its title to what it actually is. 📝 Tell one person. 💬 Follow for Episode 7. 🔔 🕊️ Remember, God loves you, and so do we! ❤️‍🔥 Important Notice: If a Bible study was offered with an episode on any of our shows, please include in the Subject line: [name of podcast & name of episode], then the word 'study guide'. Your Darkness Is Not Dark to GOD

🚪 You're paying emotional rent on a door God already helped you through. 🔒 There's a room you keep locked so you think God won't see it. He was in there working while you were surviving it. 💔 You think you've been protecting God from being embarrassed about you. He was carrying you the whole time. 🚪 There's a door in your life you keep closed. Not from your family. From God. 🕯️ You'd never say it out loud, but underneath the not-looking is a hope most of us have carried for years: maybe He wasn't watching during that part.  💸 So you keep paying. Not in dollars — in attention, in distance, in the energy it takes to hold a door down. You bring Him the cleaned-up parts of your life and can't understand why He feels far away.  📖 This episode opens Psalm 139:12 and one word the King James translators knew their English was smoothing over. Check the margin of an old KJV: darkeneth not.  🏚️ A ceiling stain painted over three times. A year David spent saying nothing while everyone assumed he was fine. And the word he used afterward that he had no right to use.  ✝️ He wasn't watching that room. He was holding you up in it. 🎧  🎧 Listen now — then read with your Bible open. 📖 Psalm 139:11–12 and Psalm 32:3–7. Read them slowly. 🕯️ This week: say the dates out loud. Not the contents. Just the dates. Then, You were there for that. 💬 Send this to someone paying rent on a closed door. 🕊️ Remember, God loves you, and so do we! ❤️‍🔥 Important Notice: If a Bible study was offered with an episode on any of our shows, please include in the Subject line: [name of podcast & name of episode], then the word 'study guide'. 🎧 The Word God Spoke Secretly About You

🎧 The Word God Spoke Secretly About You God saw you before your first breath. 🤍 He knew you before anyone else did — and He wasn't waiting for you to become presentable. He has never looked away. ✨ Maybe you've sat with a form in your lap — mother, father, circle all that apply — and written unknown. It felt like a small humiliation. Underneath it was a bigger question nobody says out loud: where did I come from, and was anybody expecting me? 📋 Here's what this episode is about. There's a workshop in Exodus almost nobody preaches — craftsmen laying down a single stitch that will hang eleven feet up, where no one will ever stand close enough to see it. Careful. Invisible. On purpose. The Hebrew word is raqam — and it shows up one last time in a psalm about you. 🧵 You weren't an accident God is making the best of. You are his masterpiece — built one stitch at a time, on purpose. 🎧 👉 Press play, then send it to someone who needs to hear it today. 💬🔔 🕊️ Remember, God loves you, and so do we! ❤️‍🔥 Important Notice: If a Bible study was offered with an episode on any of our shows, please include in the Subject line: [name of podcast & name of episode], then the word 'study guide'. Why Am I Here? Finding Purpose at 2 A.M.

Why am I here? 🌙 It's 2 a.m., the house is quiet, and it's the only question left in the room — the one you'd never say out loud at a dinner party. It's the purpose question, and every answer we get handed starts the same way. Look inside. Find your why. Define your truth. Which quietly assigns you an impossible job: author a life you didn't begin, then judge whether it was worth it. Job watched men try it three thousand years ago. They tunneled through granite, turned mountains over by the roots, came up with silver and gold. ⛏️ Then he stood at the mouth of the shaft and asked what the whole chapter was built for: But where can wisdom be found? You can tunnel through granite and come up with ore. You cannot tunnel through yourself and come up with meaning. So we open Psalm 139 where almost nobody starts — at the beginning. Not with a man searching for meaning, but with a God who has already done the searching. 📖 Psalm 139:1–4 · Ecclesiastes 3:11 · Chapter One of The Longing Is the Clue ⏱️ 00:00 The 2 a.m. room · 05:30 The wrong job · 11:00 Job at the mine · 17:00 Where the psalm begins · 24:00 One question, four verses  👉 This week: before you ask what your life is for, ask who is in the room. 🔁 Know someone lying awake right now? Send it to them. ➕ Follow for Episode 2 — The Longing Is the Clue 🕊️ Remember, God loves you, and so do we! ❤️‍🔥 Important Notice: If a Bible study was offered with an episode on any of our shows, please include in the Subject line: [name of podcast & name of episode], then the word 'study guide'.
