What Does It Really Mean To Keep Living When Life Changes Everything?- Jonathan Brandt

What does it really mean to keep living when life changes everything? In this episode of Growth Room Podcast, we continue our special series “What If I Have 5 Minutes?” with Jonathan Brandt — cancer survivor, health coach, and host of the GoOutLiving Podcast. Jonathan’s story is one of resilience, loss, recovery, and purpose. His wellness journey began when his wife, Kristie, was diagnosed with cervical cancer. A little over a year later, Jonathan was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Facing treatment and the challenges that followed pushed them to learn more about health, wellness, nutrition, fitness, and recovery. That experience eventually became part of Jonathan’s calling to help others. In this conversation, we talk about: • What cancer and recovery can teach us about life • The meaning behind the GoOutLiving attitude • Taking a more proactive approach to health • What people can do to take greater responsibility for their wellness • The role of community during difficult seasons • Health, fitness, habits, mobility, and confidence • Finding purpose after surviving a major life challenge • Carrying forward the story of someone you’ve lost • Continuing to live meaningfully through grief and uncertainty Jonathan also shares what he has learned from his own journey and the lessons he hopes can help others facing their own battles. And we end with the question at the heart of this series: If you had just 5 minutes to share a message that could change someone’s life or the world, what would you say? What If Have 5 Minutes? How To Fix The Three-Headed Monsters Destroying Your Workforce- Clark Ingram

What if employee turnover, recruitment problems, and skills gaps are actually the same problem? In this episode of Growth Room Podcast, I’m joined by Clark A. Ingram, Founder and President of People Profits, LLC, speaker, author, and former Chief Human Resources Officer. Clark began his career in finance before being asked to tackle some of the biggest workforce challenges facing an organization. What he discovered became the foundation of his approach to talent management: employee turnover, chronically open positions, and the skills gap are not three separate problems — they are one problem with three heads. In this conversation, we explore: • Why turnover can be the starting point for fixing workforce problems• How turnover affects culture and organizational strategy• Why organizations need to understand who they are as employers• The biggest mistakes companies make when addressing turnover• Why increasing compensation may not solve the root cause• What culture really means beyond workplace activities• How to identify and address the causes of employee turnover• Why compensation can be connected to value rather than time served• How organizations can build stronger and more stable workforces Clark also shares lessons from his transition from finance into HR and the experiences that shaped his book, Churn. And we end with the question at the heart of this series: If you had just 5 minutes to share a message that could change someone’s life or the world, what would you say? What If I Have 5 Minutes? How Do We Know What To Believe In The Age Of AI?- Mohamed Nabil

What if the biggest problem isn’t the information we have, but how we decide what to believe? In this episode of Growth Room Podcast, I’m joined by Mohamed Nabil, an independent philosopher and author whose work explores AI, philosophy, publishing, democracy, global issues, and the way society forms beliefs. We also explore his concept of Enlightened Populism and the distinction he makes between Blind Elitism, Ignorant Populism, and Enlightened Populism. In this conversation, we discuss: • How AIDOP works and why Mohamed created it• Whether AI can actually help us think more critically• How to navigate misinformation and information overload• The difference between following experts and investigating ideas for ourselves• AI and the future of education and publishing• Transparency and critical thinking• Citizen assemblies and direct democracy• Mohamed’s vision for addressing global challenges And, of course, we end with the question at the heart of this series: If you had just 5 minutes to share a message that could change someone’s life or the world, what would you say?
