[43] The Way of Unveiling - Discern What Belongs

In this episode of The Kallah Culture Podcast, Joey and Victoria continue the Eden Restored: The Way of Unveiling series with the second movement: Discern What Belongs. Discernment is not about overthinking, analyzing every emotion, or trying to force clarity. It grows out of relationship with the Holy Spirit. As we behold Christ and become more familiar with what is true, we begin to recognize what is aligned with Him, what no longer belongs, and even what God may be asking us to leave untouched for a season. "But solid food is for the mature, whose faculties are trained by practice to distinguish good from evil." — Hebrews 5:14 Through the imagery of a plumb line, a garden, and the areas of life God has entrusted to our care, Joey and Victoria explore what it means to bring the pieces of our lives before God and allow Him to reveal what needs to stay, what needs to go, and what needs to be seen from a different perspective. "Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!" — Psalm 139:23–24 This kind of discernment is not a formula. It is an ongoing, Spirit-led process rooted in intimacy, trust, surrender, and the goodness of God. Like a plumb line revealing what is straight, or light exposing what was hidden in darkness, the closer we draw to Christ, the clearer it becomes what is truly aligned with Him. "But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible." — Ephesians 5:13 If you have ever found yourself overwhelmed trying to figure out what God is doing, this conversation is an invitation to stop striving for answers and return to the place where clarity begins: beholding Him. "When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth." — John 16:13 Download the "SoulWork" for this week. Learn more about Kallah Culture.

[36] The Human - The Spirit Finally Found a Place to Rest

In this episode of Unfiltered Christianity, Joey and Victoria continue their series on the Holy Spirit by tracing one breathtaking thread through Scripture: the Spirit has always been moving, hovering, brooding, searching, and bringing forth life where there was none. From the Spirit hovering over the waters in creation, to the dove sent out from Noah's ark looking for a place to rest, to the Spirit descending like a dove upon Jesus in the waters of the Jordan, this conversation explores the moment the Holy Spirit finally found a permanent resting place in the body of Christ. Jesus becomes the holy vessel the Spirit could remain upon, not temporarily for a task, but fully and without withdrawal. The episode also moves through the overshadowing of Mary, where the Spirit brings forth life from impossibility, and connects that same creative work to what happens in us. The Holy Spirit does not merely inspire us from the outside. He dwells within us, forms Christ in us, changes our desires, empowers obedience, and leads us as mature children of God. Together, Joey and Victoria reflect on Jesus being led by the Spirit into the wilderness, the fire and wind of Pentecost, Mary's surrendered "let it be," and the invitation to live so closely with the Holy Spirit that even the slightest shift of His gaze turns our whole being toward Him. This is a conversation about surrender, new creation, holy boldness, and the stunning reality that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now dwells in us. Scripture referenced in this episode: Genesis 1:2 — "The Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters." Genesis 8:8–12 — Noah sends out the dove after the flood. Matthew 3:16–17 — The Spirit descends like a dove upon Jesus at His baptism. Luke 4:1 — Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, is led by the Spirit into the wilderness. Luke 4:14 — Jesus returns from the wilderness in the power of the Spirit. Luke 1:35 — The Holy Spirit overshadows Mary. Luke 1:46–55 — Mary's song, the Magnificat. John 4:23–24 — Worshiping the Father in spirit and truth. John 14:16–17 — Jesus promises the Helper, the Spirit of truth. Acts 2:1–4 — The Holy Spirit comes at Pentecost with wind and fire. Romans 8:11 — The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us. Romans 8:14 — Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Hebrews 9:14 — Christ offered Himself through the eternal Spirit.
