    Nate Sheppard Film Breakdown | Duke's Breakout True Freshman

    I was watching Darian Mensah film when I decided to also track Duke's running back. I knew Nate Sheppard was good going in — 1,100 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns, 5.7 yards per carry, and nearly 300 receiving yards as a true freshman. Watching the film, I was even more impressed. In this video, I break down exactly what makes the Duke running back so special: the way he stays so low and square to the line of scrimmage that defenders literally can't track him until he's already past them, the elite elusiveness and short-area quickness that lets him create yards when nothing is there, and the physicality that makes him a genuine north-south threat too when the lane opens up. He's not just a great athlete — there are a lot of great athletes. Nate Sheppard already knows how to use those traits at a level you almost never see from a true freshman. He can't declare until the 2028 NFL Draft. Duke fans have a couple more seasons of this.     Tyler Thompson had 7 sacks in 2025 as a rotational pass rush specialist at UNCC. Just imagine what he does with a full-time role alongside Clev Luben and AJ Green at Louisville. In this video, I break down exactly what makes the 6'5", 245 lb edge rusher such an exciting prospect: the short-area quickness to threaten an offensive tackle's inside and outside shoulder and put them in a no-win situation, the closing speed that turns pass rush losses into quarterback sacks, and the violent initial engagement that lets him punch way above his weight class against offensive linemen 60 lbs heavier. He's also a legitimate run defender — moves like an off-ball linebacker, sets the edge, and has the acceleration to chase down running backs from the backside. You don't usually get that from a guy who also has a full pass rush toolbox. Best way I can describe him: an off-ball linebacker in a defensive end's body.     Best G5 Player in the Country? | Brad Jackson Film Breakdown

    Brad Jackson threw for 3,200 yards, 21 touchdowns, and ran for 750 yards and 17 more scores as a redshirt freshman at Texas State in 2025. This is a football channel. Brad Jackson's a great football player. So we're taking a look at him. In this video, I break down exactly what makes the Texas State quarterback so intriguing: the quick release and active lower body that lets him drive the football on short and intermediate throws faster than defenders can react, the processing speed and timing on downfield shots that already look like an NFL quarterback, and the dual-threat ability that makes him dangerous whether he pulls it and runs or delivers it downfield. I also cover the one thing he has to get better at in 2026 — pocket presence. Specifically that balance between bailing too early and staying too late. The good news: he showed flashes of getting it right in 2025, and he's a redshirt sophomore with three years to iron it out. Oh, and Week 1 is Texas State vs. Texas. Brad Jackson vs. Colin Simmons.     3 Instant Impact Freshman Running Backs | Savion Hiter, Derrek Cooper, and Amari Latimer

    Three true freshman running backs. Three guys with the skill set and the opportunity to make a real impact in 2026 — not just see the field, but actually contribute. Amari Latimer (West Virginia) is 5'10", 230 lbs as a true freshman and is so far ahead of the curve physically it's almost unfair. He's a downhill hammer who spells Cam Cook and keeps one of the most talented running backs in the country healthy throughout the season. Long term, this is his backfield. Derrek Cooper (Texas) was originally projected as a defender — then his senior year running back film showed up and changed everything. He's already 210 lbs, changes angles while getting downhill constantly, and fills a short-yardage role that neither Relique Brown nor Hollywood Smothers quite covers. This is Derrek Cooper's backfield by 2027. Savion Hiter (Michigan) is the one I'm most excited about. A 5-star, 6', 210 lb running back with elite short-area quickness and the long speed to take it the distance. I think he leads Michigan in rushing yards by the end of 2026. If you stacked him up against 5-star RBs from the last five recruiting classes, he'd be one of the top names in that group. Also mentioned: EJ Crowell (Alabama), Deshawn Redeaux (USC), Jae Lamar (Georgia), Aiden Gibson (Rutgers), Javian Mallory (Miami). Defensive back version of this series is already up.     Texas Lands 5-Star CB | John Meredith III Player Breakdown

    John Meredith III just committed to Texas. He's a consensus 5-star cornerback — but the traits alone aren't why he's a top 5 player in the country to me. Most 5-stars check the athletic and physical boxes. Meredith puts exclamation points on them, and then actually uses them at a level you almost never see from a high schooler. In this video, I break down the North Crowley cornerback's film: the explosiveness and zone instincts that let him close on windows and eat up cushion before quarterbacks even know it, the 6'2.5" length he already weaponizes at the catch point to rake the ball away, and flashes of patience and hand placement in man coverage that look more college-ready than high school. I also cover the one thing standing between Meredith and the field early — his weight, currently around 180 according to 247 — and why I think a full year of development plus a college strength program closes that gap before he ever steps on campus in Austin. My expectation: a true difference-maker in the Longhorn secondary rotation as early as 2027, behind a deep room that already includes Kade Phillips trending toward being one of the top corners in the country.     Who Should Target Brendan Sorsby? | 2026 Supplemental Draft Player Profile

    Brendan Sorsby would have been a first round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Instead, he's entering the supplemental draft — and a handful of teams need to be paying close attention. In this video, I break down the film on the former Cincinnati quarterback: the elite arm talent that lets him drive the football into tight windows with velocity, the touch and ball placement on vertical throws that makes scouts' eyes light up, and the dual-threat ability that gives him an extra layer as a playmaker when things break down off-script. I also give my supplemental grade (2nd round) and break down exactly which teams should target Sorsby — and under what conditions. QB-needy teams (Jets, Browns, Steelers, Dolphins, Cardinals, Falcons, Vikings): only draft him if you're going to give him a real chance to establish himself in 2026. Don't take him and bury him on the bench before drafting another QB in 2027.
