The BC NDP is promising a tax hike on the top two income brackets, while the BC Conservatives say they won’t introduce any new taxes. But how do these promises stack up against B.C.’s deficit, currently projected at $13.8 billion? It’s something Vancouver Sun legislative reporter Alec Lazenby has been looking into.  Parliament has returned, with all eyes on economic issues amid the trade war—the Building Canada Strong Act and its pre-approval measures for major projects is making its way through the House of Commons now. Cowichan-Malahat-Langford Conservative MP Jeff Kibble is joining us to catch up.
