E84| Yoga, Ayurveda & the New Moon

Episode 84 - Yoga, Ayurveda & the New Moon In this 15-minute episode, we explore yoga poses and Ayurvedic rituals to support the new moon time. If you want to drop in deeper to new moon energy, please join us for the July New Moon Gathering for Caregivers on July 14, 2026 at 6PM MT. Caregiving is one of the most generous acts a human being can offer — and one of the most depleting. Over-doing, over-giving, burnout, and exhaustion are not signs of weakness; they are signs that you have been giving without replenishment. The new moon is a natural pause in the lunar cycle — a threshold of darkness and quiet that invites us inward. This two-hour online gathering is designed especially for women who spend their days caring for and tending to: mothers, grandmothers, teachers, nurses, environmental stewards, and those tending to themselves through chronic conditions. Through gentle organic yoga, restorative movement, guided Yoga Nidra meditation, and reflective journaling, you'll be guided into a state of deep rest that rebalances your nervous system and quietly restores what caregiving asks of you. What to expect: Grounding breathwork to arrive and settle inGentle & restorative yoga Guided yoga nidra journey to deeply restore body and mindJournaling prompts and a new moon pdf guidebookCommunity with other women walking a similar pathCome exactly as you are. E82| The Art of Distraction: How Letting Go Lets the Magic In

Episode 82 - The art of distraction: how letting go lets the magic in In this 20-minute episode, we explore one of the most counterintuitive yet scientifically supported ideas in modern creativity research — that certain forms of distraction are not the enemy of deep work, but one of its most powerful allies. We will talk about distraction — not as a failure of willpower, not as the enemy of your practice, not as the thing to overcome... but as a doorway. A doorway into the deepest creative, intuitive, and healing parts of yourself. Resources:  • Rick Rubin, The Creative Act: A Way of Being (2023) • Research: Baird et al. E79| Season 1 Rested Woman Conversations with Margaret James

Episode 79 - Rested Woman Conversation with Margaret James  In this 35-minute episode, I sit down and chat with Margaret on rest and reading. In her words: "....in a lot of the books that we're reading there are young women who didn't know that they had power inside of them until something happened. And then all of a sudden it's a huge becoming into what was already within them. And so it's a really great reminder for me that there's already a power within me to enact change in my own life. It's really nice because, instead of scrolling on social media and getting bombarded left and right and beaten over the head with all the things that are happening, which doesn't feel restful, reading has been a space for me to become immersed in another world...."
