Jesus in Your Weekend: Jesus — Who Are You Showing Jesus To?

Send us Fan Mail Jesus — Who Are You Showing Jesus To? Jesus calls us to gather with other believers—to worship, grow in God’s Word, encourage one another, and strengthen our faith. But our mission doesn’t end when the church service is over. Jesus said, “You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14) In this Jesus in Your Weekend, Steve challenges us to look beyond our Christian circles and ask a simple but important question: Who are we showing Jesus to? Following the example of Jesus, we’re called to genuinely love people, listen to them, serve them, and build relationships with them—not as projects, but as people Jesus loves. And when God opens the door, we can point them toward the hope we have in Christ. We gather so that we can go. We grow so that we can serve. And we carry the light of Jesus wherever God places us. This weekend, think of one person who may not know Jesus. Pray for them by name, look for an opportunity to show them His love, and be ready when God opens the door to tell them why Jesus has made a difference in your life. Don’t stay in the huddle. Go—and show someone Jesus. The Jesus Effect Encounter Him – Experience Change. This episode of The Jesus Effect was written and hosted by me, Steve McLane. Jesus in Your Weekend - God is fighting for You

Send us Fan Mail God Is Fighting for You Have you ever felt like you were facing a battle that was simply bigger than you? Maybe it’s a family concern, a health issue, conflict, fear, discouragement, or uncertainty about what comes next. When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to believe everything depends on us. But Scripture reminds us: we are not fighting alone. In this episode of The Jesus Effect — Jesus in Your Weekend, Steve McLane looks at Joshua 23:3, Hebrews 13:5–6, and Ephesians 6:12 and shares what it really means to trust God in the battles we face. God fighting for us doesn’t mean we have no responsibility—or that everyone who disagrees with us is our enemy. We still pray, obey, do what is right, and take the next faithful step. But we don’t have to carry what belongs in God’s hands. Do what God has called you to do—and trust Him with what only He can do. Whatever you’re facing today, remember: The battle may be bigger than you, but it is not bigger than God. Stay close to Jesus. Trust Him with the outcome. And remember—you don’t have to face it alone. Encounter Him — Experience Change. This episode of The Jesus Effect was written and hosted by me, Steve McLane. Summer Reflections — Series Finale - Jesus: The Faithfulness of God

Send us Fan Mail Summer Reflections — Episode 10: Series Finale Jesus: The Faithfulness of God Lamentations 3:22–23 Summer is coming to an end, but there is one thing that never changes: the faithfulness of God. In this final episode of Summer Reflections, Steve McLane looks at the powerful words of Lamentations: “They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:23 God’s faithfulness isn’t determined by whether life is easy, prayers are answered the way we hoped, or everything makes sense. Faithfulness is part of who He is. As one season gives way to another, this episode invites us to look back and remember where God has provided, strengthened, comforted, guided, and carried us—and then step into what comes next trusting the One who never changes. Throughout this summer journey, we’ve learned to know Jesus, trust Him, walk with Him, wait on Him, and rest in Him. And now, as the series comes to a close: Wait on Him. Rest in Him. Remember His faithfulness. Because the God who was faithful in the season behind you will be faithful in the season ahead. Summer ends. His faithfulness doesn’t.  The Jesus Effect Encounter Him – Experience Change. This episode of The Jesus Effect was written and hosted by me, Steve McLane. Summer Reflections - Episode 9 - Jesus: The Gift of Rest

Send us Fan Mail Summer Reflections — Episode 9 - Jesus: The Gift of Rest  Matthew 11:28–30 Have you ever been physically rested but still felt tired deep down inside? Some weariness reaches beyond the body. Worry, fear, grief, uncertainty, unanswered questions, and the burdens we carry for those we love can leave our souls weary. In this episode of The Jesus Effect: Summer Reflections, Steve McLane looks at one of the most comforting invitations Jesus ever gave: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 Jesus doesn’t tell the weary to try harder or figure everything out. He invites us to come to Him. The rest Jesus offers doesn’t mean every burden suddenly disappears. It means we no longer have to carry life apart from Him. If you’ve been carrying something for too long, this episode is an invitation to bring it to Jesus and discover the rest only He can give. What are you carrying today? Come tired. Come worried. Come with your questions. Come as you are. Jesus is still saying: “Come to Me.”  The Jesus Effect Encounter Him – Experience Change.
