Family of Faith OC Podcast is an extension of the life, teaching, and testimony of Family of Faith OC, a Christ-centered church community in Orange County, California, led by Pastors David and Doris Flores. Each week, we share biblical teaching, Spirit-led conversations, and real stories of transformation that point people to Jesus and invite them into deeper faith, authentic community, and everyday discipleship.     We tend to imagine that joy lives on the other side of resolution—after the grief has passed, the questions have been answered, and life finally resembles the plan we made. But what if God wants to meet us before everything is fixed?     THE LIE THAT KEEPS YOU STUCK Sometimes the most powerful lie is the one that has been repeated for so long it begins to sound like your own voice. “You’ll never change.” “You are permanently damaged by your past.” “God is disappointed in you.” “This situation will never get better.” In John 5, Jesus meets a man who had been lying beside the Pool of Bethesda for 38 years. His physical condition had also shaped his identity, expectations, and understanding of the future. Even with Jesus standing directly in front of him, the man could only explain why change seemed impossible.
