Good Talk with Tiffany Santana

Tiffany D. Santana

On the Good Talk with Tiffany Santana Podcast, my goal is to have Good Talk, with Great People,to Help Us Live Our Best Lives. In a time when negativity and discord can seem so pervasive, I want to pull hope, inspiration, and joy from conversations with people of all walks of life. With a focus on the individual journeys of my guests, I love delving into the backstory, answering questions like, “How did you get here?” “Who or what were your greatest influences?” “What did you learn, or how did you grow from your experiences?” and “What advice can you give us to help us live better?” I love to have connective conversations while creating a comfortable, safe, and warm atmosphere. Each episode should be as educational as it is entertaining, and audiences should leave with at least one actionable, tangible nugget that, if applied, can help sow the seeds of transformation or cause mindset and heart shifts. I also want to create an environment where my guests can highlight and promote things that matter to them.

How To Respond When People Say the Wrong Thing

What happens when life takes away the very thing you thought you needed to feel like yourself? Kelly Neal built a career as a master hairstylist known for her “growing hands”—helping other people care for, restore, and feel beautiful in their hair. Then, over the course of just 44 days, Kelly lost the hair on her entire body. What followed was more than a physical transformation. Kelly had to confront fear, identity, self-esteem, faith, the wounds she had carried since childhood—and the realization that her hair had become more than something she loved. It had become a covering. And then came the questions and comments. Why are you bald? Do you have cancer? What does your husband think? You actually look better without hair. Those experiences eventually inspired Kelly's book, Why You Ballhead: Mastering Graceful Responses to Life’s Uninvited Conversations. But the book didn't become what Kelly originally thought it would be. Instead of simply teaching people what not to say, God began showing Kelly something deeper: We can't always control what people say to us—but we can learn to control how we respond. One of my favorite truths from this conversation? You don't have to match their energy. You can set the standard. If you've ever allowed someone else's comment, behavior, or opinion to hijack your peace—or if life has ever taken something from you that you thought you couldn't live without—this Good Talk is for you. 👇🏾 Tell me in the comments: Which step do you need to practice most—Pause, Discern, Choose, or Respond? The Hidden Cost of Living Out of Alignment with LaQuonne Holden

📥 DOWNLOAD THE GOOD TALK TAKEAWAY GUIDE: https://mailchi.mp/tiffanydsantana/la... 🌸 JOIN THE CONFIDENT COMMUNICATOR CHALLENGE FOR WOMEN: https://bit.ly/confidentcommunicatora... What happens when your life looks successful on the outside—but something inside keeps telling you that something is off? In this episode of Good Talk with Tiffany Santana, I sit down with LaQuonne Holden for an honest and practical conversation about alignment, fulfillment, and the quiet friction that can develop when who we are, what we value, and how we live are no longer pointing in the same direction. LaQuonne reminds us that friction is not always failure. Sometimes, it is feedback—a check-engine light letting us know that something in our lives deserves our attention. We discuss the three forms of friction that can signal misalignment: • Dissonance: the internal conflict that tells you something is off • Dissension: the relational tension that develops around you • Discontentment: the quiet dissatisfaction that causes you to settle for less than the life you know you were created to live LaQuonne also walks us through his practical four-part framework for responding to misalignment: NOTICE what is trying to get your attention. NAME the specific source of the friction. NEGOTIATE the boundaries, conversations, and adjustments that are needed. NURTURE the habits and rhythms that will help you maintain alignment. We also talk about burnout, people-pleasing, boundaries, coaching, personal development, purpose, faith, and what to do when helping everyone else begins to hurt you. This conversation will encourage you to stop simply managing the symptoms and begin paying attention to what the friction in your life may be trying to teach you. Because alignment begins with awareness—and when your internal and external realities begin pointing in the same direction, sustainable advancement becomes possible. ABOUT LAQUONNE HOLDEN LaQuonne Holden is an Associate Pastor at Change Church who provides pastoral support to Dr. Dharius Daniels. He is a content cultivator, alignment architect, coach, and consultant who helps high-performing professionals and faith-based leaders confront dissonance, dissension, and discontentment and transform that friction into sustainable fulfillment. You’re Already Qualified—Your Mindset Just Hasn’t Caught Up

DOWNLOAD THE GOOD TALK TAKEAWAY GUIDE Turn the insights from this conversation into action: https://mailchi.mp/tiffanydsantana/denamiller What happens when everyone else can see that you’re qualified—but you’re still struggling to believe it? Dena Miller was already leading, influencing, creating, and doing the work. Yet part of her still questioned whether her personality, directness, and past experiences disqualified her from the rooms she was prepared to enter. In this honest and practical conversation, Dena shares what she discovered when she realized her behavior was ahead of her mindset—and how she is learning to see herself through a new lens. We talk about overcoming imposter syndrome, healing from the words that made you question your voice, and developing the discipline your next season will require. Dena also shares how she uses coaching, community, self-assessments, journaling, and artificial intelligence to turn personal revelations into practical growth plans. We also explore the beauty of embracing singleness, becoming whole before entering another relationship, and refusing to allow relationships, distractions, or an outdated version of yourself to interfere with your purpose. One of the most powerful reminders from this conversation is that your feelings are not always an accurate measurement of your qualifications. You may already be doing the work, carrying the wisdom, and demonstrating the leadership that your next opportunity requires. Your mindset may simply need time—and intentional work—to catch up.
