The Spirit of Worth, Wealth & Sovereignty™ is a podcast exploring the human experience through the interconnected lenses of worth, wealth, and sovereignty. Hosted by Gretchen Hill, founder of the Sovereignty Reclamation Method™, the show examines the patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves, others, money, work, responsibility, belonging, and power. Through solo reflections and conversations with guests, Gretchen explores personal journeys, diverse perspectives, and philosophical questions about the human and spiritual experience. These conversations examine how lived experience, inherited conditioning, relationships, culture, and identity influence our understanding of ourselves, the world around us, and the decisions we make. Some of these patterns are easy to recognize. Others have become so familiar that we experience them simply as who we are. Episodes explore questions such as: How does identity form through our experiences of belonging? What do we learn to become in order to maintain connection? How do inherited and relational patterns influence money, work, relationships, and decision-making? What happens when the ways we once adapted no longer reflect who we are? What does it mean to return to inner authority while remaining connected to the world around us? Rather than offering formulas for how life should be lived, The Spirit of Worth, Wealth & Sovereignty™ invites listeners to think, question, discover, and explore for themselves. Through curiosity and new perspectives, these conversations create opportunities to deepen our understanding of ourselves, recognize what has shaped our lives, and reconnect with our own inner authority. If you're curious about how your lineage may be influencing your relationship with money, worth, or responsibility, begin with the free Personalized Ancestral Money Patterns Assessment at GretchenHillCoaching.com. A conversation about what it means to belong, how we become who we are, and what it means to return to ourselves.

We Are Not “Woo”: Spiritual Intelligence, Inherited Shame, and Belonging

What happens when spiritually inclined people learn to make their knowing sound less serious so they can remain credible? When Gretchen entered the online business world, she repeatedly heard women describe intuition, energetic sensitivity, spiritual gifts, and other ways of knowing as “woo” or “woo-woo.” The language was often used affectionately. Yet something about it immediately felt diminishing. In this solo episode of The Spirit of Worth, Wealth & Sovereignty™, Gretchen examines how language can acknowledge spiritual intelligence without granting it full legitimacy—and why people may soften, rename, or conceal what they know when fully claiming it appears to threaten acceptance, credibility, or belonging. Drawing upon her work as a cultural geographer, educator, Akashic Records Master Practitioner, and creator of the Sovereignty Reclamation Method™ framework, Gretchen explores the relationship among spiritual intelligence, witchcraft accusations, inherited shame, epigenetics, the soul, and the adaptations people develop in anticipation of rejection. She also discusses her university course on Basque witchcraft and the continuing reality of witchcraft accusations and related violence in parts of the world today. This episode explores: • Why the words “woo” and “woo-woo” can make spiritual intelligence sound unserious • The difference between positive intent and the social function of language • Why people laugh, apologize, or call themselves strange before naming an intuitive experience • How credentials can become a place to hide spiritual knowing • The historical relationship among witchcraft accusations, legitimacy, gender, and persecution • Why witch hunts are not confined to the past • How fear and trauma may be carried through bodies, families, cultures, lineages, and spiritual inheritance • Epigenetics as one scientific lens for investigating the intergenerational effects of trauma • Why honoring intuition does not require abandoning evidence or discernment • How minimizing spiritual intelligence can become a belonging adaptation • What it means to reclaim the scholar, educator, intuitive, and mystic as parts of the same human being In Gretchen’s experience, “woo” and “woo-woo” have been used primarily by spiritually inclined women describing themselves and their work. There does not appear to be empirical research establishing who uses these terms most frequently, so this observation is not presented as a universal demographic claim. The longer history of witchcraft persecution, however, was demonstrably gendered. Men and children were also accused and persecuted, and some regions accused substantial numbers of men. Across the early-modern European witch trials, historians generally estimate that approximately 75 to 80 percent of those accused were women. The persecution was not exclusively directed toward women, but neither was it gender-neutral. The defining question within this episode is: What do you fear would happen if you named what you know? Honoring intuition does not mean abandoning discernment. Spiritual intelligence is not infallibility. Mystery does not require the rejection of evidence. We do not have to diminish one way of knowing to establish the legitimacy of another. We are not “woo.” We are. And we belong. The Soul’s Plan and the Human Experience with Lisa Barnett: Loss, Meaning-Making, and the Path to Sovereignty

What if the soul has a plan—and our human choices still matter? In this episode of The Spirit of Worth, Wealth & Sovereignty™, Gretchen Hill sits down with internationally recognized Akashic Records teacher and bestselling author Lisa Barnett to explore the soul’s plan through the experiences of being human. Lisa shares how the deaths of two of her closest friends shaped her path as a healer, including the responsibility she once carried to heal or save the people she loved. Their conversation follows this pattern through loss, relationships, and Lisa’s eventual realization that it was never her responsibility to heal everyone. Together, Gretchen and Lisa explore: • Early spiritual awareness and learning to trust what we perceive • Loss, abandonment, and spiritual meaning-making • The belief that we are responsible for healing or saving others • Soul plans, soul contracts, karma, and human choice • How the relationships in our lives may contribute to our growth • The difference between receiving spiritual guidance and embodying it • The movement from over-responsibility toward sovereignty • How the Akashic Records can support a deeper relationship with our own inner knowing Even when an experience carries spiritual meaning, we still decide how we will participate in it. Knowing what an experience may mean is one part of the journey. Sovereignty asks what we choose to do with that understanding. About Lisa Barnett Rev. Lisa Barnett is the founder of the Akashic Knowing School of Wisdom and an internationally recognized Akashic Records teacher, consultant, spiritual teacher, and bestselling author. Who Did You Become to Belong? Introducing the Sovereignty Reclamation Method™ Framework

Human beings adapt to belong. Initially, those adaptations may help us preserve connection, stability, approval, or safety. But when they are repeated, they can become more than behaviors. They can become identity. We no longer experience them only as something we do. We begin to experience them as who we are. In this solo episode, Gretchen Hill formally introduces the Sovereignty Reclamation Method™, an interdisciplinary framework for understanding how the human need for belonging can shape identity, behavior, relationships, money, work, visibility, decision-making, and our relationship with ourselves. At the center of the method is one defining inquiry: How do human beings shape themselves in order to belong, and what happens to their relationship with themselves once they have found their place? In this episode, Gretchen explores: Why adaptation is an intelligent human response rather than evidence that something is wrong with usHow the need to preserve belonging can influence the identities we developHow repeated adaptations can become Adaptive Survival Identities™What happens when adaptation is prioritized over inner authorityWhy the work is not to reject or eliminate our adaptations, but to understand what they protected and recognize when they are still leadingHow sovereignty allows us to return to ourselves while remaining connected The question is not whether you adapted. Every human being did. The more meaningful question is: Who did you become to belong? A Note Since This Episode Was Recorded When this episode was recorded, Gretchen shared the larger vision for developing the Sovereignty Reclamation Method™ into a practitioner certification. That vision remains. What has become clearer since recording is where the live teaching needs to begin. The three-week SRM Learning Lab is the first public opportunity to experience the method in a smaller, live learning environment before the larger practitioner training is developed. The Learning Lab includes three live sessions on September 22, September 29, and October 6, 2026. Enrollment is limited to eight participants, and the founding rate is $350. What happens when being the one who holds everything together becomes part of who you are? In this episode of The Spirit of Worth, Wealth & Sovereignty™, Gretchen Hill sits down with Christine Luken, The Merchant Priestess™ and Financial Dignity® Coach, for a conversation about money, relationships, emotional responsibility, and the roles women can learn to take on in order to maintain connection and stability. Together, Gretchen and Christine explore how our experiences can shape the way we relate to money, ourselves, and the people around us. They discuss shame and financial secrecy, the emotional dynamics within relationships, the pressure to manage what is happening around us, and what can happen when a way of adapting becomes so familiar that we begin to experience it as simply who we are. The Hidden Patterns Beneath Our Decisions

Every decision has a history. We often believe we're making choices based solely on the present moment. But beneath many of our decisions are patterns shaped by our experiences, relationships, and the ways we've learned to belong. Together, they discuss belonging, perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-trust, receiving, and what begins to shift when we become aware of the patterns beneath our decisions. Rather than offering quick answers, this conversation invites listeners into a deeper inquiry: What has been shaping your decisions?Which choices reflect your own inner authority?Which may still be influenced by old patterns of belonging? Whether you're building a business, navigating relationships, or simply becoming more intentional about the life you're creating, this episode offers a thoughtful perspective on the human experience and the quiet forces that shape our path. Grief & Truth: The Longing to Be Understood

There are moments in life when we realize that the grief we’re carrying isn’t only about what happened. Sometimes it’s the grief of recognizing that the person we most wanted to understand us may never fully be able to. In this deeply personal solo episode, I explore the emotional longing beneath the impulse to explain ourselves—the hope that if we can just find the right words, someone will finally understand our pain, validate our experience, or see us differently. As I reflect on my own relationship with my mother, I share how listening to my body revealed something far deeper than the desire to have a difficult conversation. What I discovered was a relational longing that many of us carry: the longing to be fully understood by someone whose capacity to hold us may be limited. This episode explores the connection between grief, boundaries, sovereignty, and the courage to stop organizing our lives around being understood by others. Instead, it invites us to recognize ourselves, reclaim our inner authority, and remain connected to ourselves—even when others cannot meet us where we are. In this episode, you'll hear:Why the impulse to explain yourself is often rooted in a deeper relational longing. The difference between expressing your truth and needing someone else to validate it.How the nervous system organizes around the hope of finally being understood. Why healthy boundaries restore equality in relationships rather than create distance. How sovereignty allows us to remain connected to ourselves without abandoning connection with others. Why some healing comes not through reconciliation, but through recognition. Whether you've found yourself replaying conversations, longing for someone to finally "get it," or grieving relationships that can no longer meet you where you are, this episode offers an invitation to understand yourself with greater compassion—and to discover the freedom that comes when your truth no longer depends on someone else's understanding. Inherited Narratives of Work, Worth, and Sacrifice: Memorial Day and the Geography of Belonging

What if many of the beliefs you carry about work, sacrifice, productivity, rest, and worth were inherited long before you were consciously aware of them? In this reflective solo episode, Gretchen explores the cultural, familial, and historical narratives that shape how we relate to contribution, belonging, achievement, and identity. Using Memorial Day as a point of reflection, this conversation weaves together themes of geography, meaning-making, American work ethic, collective conditioning, and the invisible stories we absorb about what it means to be “good.” This episode examines how inherited narratives often become embodied ways of being — shaping our decisions, relationships, self-worth, and sense of belonging without us fully realizing it. Rather than offering quick answers or rigid frameworks, this conversation invites deeper reflection: What narratives did you inherit? And do they still belong to you? Topics explored in this episode: • Memorial Day and cultural narratives around sacrifice • Work ethic, productivity, and inherited identity • Geography, place, and meaning-making • Belonging and collective conditioning • The relationship between worth and contribution • Intergenerational and cultural narratives • Rest, achievement, and relational identity As you move through your day, notice the decisions that are yours to make — and the ones you’ve been carrying that aren’t yours.
