Here In My Time is a podcast dedicated to documenting the people around me and capturing their stories along with mine. With a overarching goal to bridge the gap between generations, this is the place where all ages can meet a feel welcomed. In efforts to preserve the everyday stories from all walks of life, I'll start here in my hometown of Wabash and branch out as I continue to meet fascinating people all around. This world is much smaller than we think, and this is just a taste of how it could be. There is much to discuss so let's dive into all things creative, music, and books! Why not?

    Fire Line Stageworks - Premium Theatre, Pushing The Envelope , And Big Dreams.

    We all know that feeling, when the doors swing open and the rush to the concessions that always seemed to taste better there than at home, collide into a joy riveting ball of energy in our chest; its the gasp,  thumping of pulse, and the squeals that involuntarily escape the mouths of even the young at heart. But it doesn’t stop there.  The search for your seat as the ambient sound of strangers and friends share about their day or in the excitement of anticipation the unified hum that melts into the air. When the lights are dimmed and the curtain is pulled it is in that moment that everyone shifts in their seats, the heart beats a little faster, and the show begins. For a short amount of time the world is lighter, it’s quiet.  There is nothing like it, it is live, you have no choice but to be present. Your eyes don’t wonder, they caught and before you realize it, you have slipped into the world of story. And, when it is all over you teeter on the cusps of imagination and realty as you pass once again through the doors of the magical place we call, the theatre.  When it comes to the ability to gather such vibrant atmosphere, rich storytelling, and textured experience; Fire Line Stageworks never misses.     Joanne - A 95 Year Old Woman’s Look Back On Childhood.

    Friendship by friendship, connection by connection, I am invited into the wonderful world of individual’s homes and lives. It makes no difference the road that I travel or the threshold that I walk through, everyone has a story worth telling. This week I sit down with Joanne, keeping her last name private out of respect for her wish, in her home surrounded by family photos and mementos, I discovered the importance of remembrance. Maybe a better phrase would be, reminded of remembrance, because when a 95 year old and 26 year old take a moment to listen and to share, there is wisdom.
