Jeremy Taylor: The Impact Addiction & Recovery Can Have On A Family

In this follow-up conversation, BJ Clifton returns alongside lifelong friend Jeremy Taylor to reflect on a journey that spans decades of friendship, addiction, recovery, faith, and redemption. Growing up together in Mississippi County, the two share stories from their younger years, the culture that shaped them, the choices that nearly changed everything, and the hope they eventually found through recovery and their relationship with Christ. Throughout the episode, we discuss the realities of recovery, the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people, and why no one should ever be defined by the worst chapter of their life. We also address some of the criticism surrounding the future recovery facility coming to our area and why we believe helping people overcome addiction should never become a divisive issue. At the heart of the conversation is a simple reminder: every person deserves the opportunity to change, and every community benefits when lives are restored. At The Testimony, our mission has never been to glorify someone's lowest moment. Our goal is to share authentic stories that encourage others, strengthen families, and point people toward hope. Whether you're walking through recovery yourself, supporting someone who is, or simply looking for an honest conversation about faith, friendship, and second chances, we pray this episode leaves you encouraged. "I just want to start by saying... we serve an amazing God." – Jeremy Taylor Thank you for supporting The Testimony. Every view, every share, every comment, and every prayer helps these stories reach someone who may need them most. Because every person has a story worth sharing... and one story can truly change a life.

Michelle & Kayla: The Impact Addiction and Recovery Can Have On A Family

Wife & Daughters Perspective - Addiction is often remembered through the decisions of the person caught in its grip, but its impact extends far beyond a single life.  It reshapes families, tests marriages, changes childhoods, and leaves every person connected to it carrying a different part of the same story. In this special episode of The Testimony, Michelle and Kayla Clifton share their perspectives on the years that addiction held their family captive and the restoration that followed. Michelle reflects on loving her husband through seasons marked by fear, uncertainty, and hardship while choosing to hold on to faith when there seemed to be little reason to believe a different future was possible. Kayla shares what it was like growing up with a father whose addiction, incarceration, and involvement in the drug trade kept him from being present during much of her childhood, leaving her to navigate two very different worlds while hoping for the relationship she longed to have. Together, their stories reveal that addiction is never confined to the individual. It reaches spouses, children, parents, and every relationship surrounding it, leaving behind wounds that cannot always be seen. At the same time, their testimony demonstrates that recovery is about far more than achieving sobriety. It is the ongoing work of rebuilding trust, restoring relationships, accepting responsibility for the past, and allowing healing to take root where brokenness once defined a family. This conversation is not simply about addiction or recovery. It is about the resilience of a wife who refused to let hardship determine her future, the perspective of a daughter learning to know the father addiction once kept at a distance, and the transforming power of redemption when a family is given the opportunity to begin again. Whether you have walked through addiction yourself or have loved someone who has, we hope this episode serves as a reminder that while the consequences of addiction can reach every corner of a family, hope and restoration can as well.

The "Mannimal" Chase Mann Shares His Story | Raised in Chaos, Built For Greatness | EP 19 |

In this episode of The Testimony Podcast, we sit down with Chase Mann to hear one of the most intense and inspiring stories we’ve featured so far. Raised throughout small towns in Arkansas including Bono, Walnut Ridge, and Paragould, Chase found himself in trouble with the law and involved with CYS at only 9 years old. During that time, he was sent to a children’s home that, despite having God’s name attached to it, showed him very little goodness. At just 9 years old, he was coaxed into what he describes as a childhood fight club inside the facility. In only 30 days, he witnessed and experienced things many people never see in their entire lives. When his parents finally saw him during his first visitation, they immediately pulled him out of the program. As he got older, Chase stepped into the role of quarterback for his high school football team, marking the first time he truly felt all eyes on him. After graduating, he received multiple college football offers, but decided he needed time away from school to adjust to adult life. During that period, he fell into addiction and nearly ended up in jail. Everything began to change when he entered Shepherd’s Fold, a rehab program that helped him refocus on what mattered most: his daughter and his future. After recovery, Chase pursued powerlifting, turning a hobby into something that nearly became a career. But eventually, another path opened in front of him, one he believes God placed directly in his hands. He began training at The LC  in the small Arkansas town of Walnut Ridge, and quickly discovered a passion for fighting. After going 5-0 as an amateur and earning a massive knockout victory in West Memphis, Arkansas, Chase received an opportunity with ONE Championship! Now, only a couple fights into his professional career, he’s traveling the world living out his dream, with many believing he has the potential to become a future WORLD CHAMPION. This is a story about pain, redemption, discipline, fatherhood, faith, and finding purpose when life seemed completely off track. Chase is an incredible young man with a huge future in the MMA world, and through it all, he continues to keep God at the forefront of his journey. 🙏

Hank Parish: From Conspiracies to Christ | Host of the Soldiers of Christ, Arise! podcast shares his Testimony | EP 17 |

Hank joins us to share a raw and powerful story of pain, redemption, and transformation. Growing up in Greenville, Mississippi. He attended a very small school and spent much of his childhood watching alcohol abuse tear a hole in his family. Those early years left wounds that followed him long after childhood. Later, after moving to Wilson, Hank faced another life-altering moment when he was falsely accused of bringing a gun to school and was labeled a school shooter. Authorities searched him and found nothing, but the damage of the accusations, his home getting ransacked by law enforcement, and having to deal with life after such a traumatizing event, left him feeling broken. Not long after, Hank lost his father. Trying to cope with grief and everything he had carried for years, he began searching for ways to numb the pain. He joined the Military but was later released after failing a DT before he ever stepped foot into training. When he returned home, addiction only deepened, leading him into a dark season that nearly cost him his life. But Hank’s story didn’t end there. He eventually met the woman he is with today, built an amazing family, and began rebuilding his life. From there, he launched 6+4+3 Double Play and later became part of the Sunday Night Secret Society podcast with Chef Kyle. The same platform that gave me my first podcast appearance! What began as a search through pain, conspiracy, and unanswered questions eventually became something much deeper. Today, Hank uses his voice to share faith, hope, and the message of Jesus Christ through his new podcast Soldiers of Christ, Arise. Sometimes the darkest roads lead to the greatest redemption. https://linktr.ee/thetestimonypodcast
