What Is Wisdom? How to Tap Into Your Inner Guidance for Clarity and Self-Trust

Message us with your thoughts, burning questions, or reflections, we’d love to hear from you. In this episode, we decided to do something a little different and just sit down together for a conversation. We’ve heard from so many of you that you enjoy these more intimate, reflective exchanges, so today we’re going back to the heart of what this podcast is all about: The Wisdom We Share. Together, we explore what wisdom truly means beyond information, beyond knowledge, and beyond what we’ve been taught. We reflect on how wisdom is something lived, felt, and accessed from within, and how each of us can begin to trust our own inner guidance more deeply. Throughout our conversation, we unpack the difference between knowledge and wisdom, drawing from our own experiences, as well as spiritual and philosophical traditions including Vedic teachings, Kabbalah, astrology, and more. We also explore what it looks like to move beyond the “small self” and into a more expansive perspective, one that allows us to access insight, clarity, and truth from a deeper place. Most importantly, we share practical ways you can begin to access your own wisdom in everyday life. ✨ In this episode, we explore: The difference between knowledge, information, and true wisdomHow lived experience shapes wisdom more than external learningThe role of self-reflection, contemplation, and discernmentHow different traditions understand wisdom and consciousnessMoving beyond ego and accessing a higher perspectiveWhy we often feel disconnected from our inner guidanceThe importance of curiosity, humility, and deep listening🌿 Practical ways to access your own wisdom: Spending time in silence and stillnessMeditation and breath awarenessReflective journaling and self-inquiryReading and contemplating sacred or meaningful textsEngaging in reflective dialogue with othersChanting or using sound and vibration practicesFinding a mentor, teacher, or study partner to challenge your thinking This episode is an invitation to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with the wisdom that already lives within you. You don’t need to search outside yourself for all the answers. Sometimes, the most powerful insights come when you pause long enough to listen. Thanks for listening to The Wisdom We Share. 2. What Death Teaches Us About Living Fully with Baci Hillyer

What Death Teaches Us About Living Fully with Baci Hillyer

Message us with your thoughts, burning questions, or reflections, we’d love to hear from you. In this episode, we sit down with Baci Hillyer, a certified end of life doula, mentor, and founder of Live Well Leave Well, for a deeply honest and expansive conversation about death, grief, and what it truly means to live well. Together, we explore a topic many of us avoid but one that touches every single life. Baci invites us to rethink our relationship with death, not as something distant or fearful, but as something that can bring clarity, connection, and purpose to how we live right now. We talk about the concept of death literacy and why modern culture has become disconnected from something that was once a shared, human experience. A key part of this conversation is what it means to prepare for a good death. Not just practically, but emotionally and spiritually. Baci shares how preparing for death can include having honest conversations, making peace with people in our lives, understanding our wishes, and being intentional about the legacy we leave behind. Rather than waiting until the end, this kind of preparation begins while we are still living. This conversation also moves through grief in its many forms. Baci opens up about her own profound experiences with loss and how those shaped her life’s calling. We reflect on how different types of loss impact us, why grief never really leaves, and how it evolves with us over time. We also explore:  What an end of life doula really does  Why people fear death and how we can soften that fear  The importance of having conversations before it is too late  Rituals that support both dying and grieving  How beliefs around death shape the way we live  Why we often delay what matters most and how to change that  What it means to prepare for a good death, emotionally, spiritually, and practically One of the most powerful reminders from this episode is simple but confronting: we all think we have time, but time is never guaranteed. And when we truly understand that, everything begins to shift. Baci’s work is centred on helping people live well now, so they can leave well later. This episode is an invitation to reflect, reconnect, and maybe start the conversations you have been putting off. All of Baci’s offerings are freely available, with her hope that more people begin eng Thanks for listening to The Wisdom We Share. The Wisdom of Service: Why Giving Heals Us

Message us with your thoughts, burning questions, or reflections, we’d love to hear from you. In this special Podcasthon episode, we explore the deeper meaning of service, charity, and why giving is far more than an act of kindness. It is a practice that transforms both the world around us and our own inner lives. As part of this global podcast initiative, we reflect on the universal wisdom found across traditions that teaches us that service is essential to human flourishing. We talk about seva, tzedakah, mitzvah, and how ancient teachings across spiritual paths all point toward one truth: when we give, we grow. We also discuss fascinating neuroscience research showing what happens in the brain when people give money versus when they give time, and why hands-on service activates deeper centres connected to empathy, compassion, and emotional fulfilment. In this conversation, we each share charitable organisations that are deeply meaningful to us: Robin highlights My Sister’s Place, a long-standing organisation in New York supporting women and children experiencing domestic violence through shelter, legal advocacy, education, and practical support. Anjani shares Green Sakthi, a multi-layered initiative in India focused on reforestation, women’s empowerment, animal care, sustainable farming, and environmental healing. We also reflect on how service can take many forms: • Giving financially • Offering time and energy • Sharing wisdom and experience This episode is an invitation to remember that service does not begin when life becomes perfect or when there is extra time. It begins wherever we are, with whatever we can offer. Organisations mentioned in this episode: • My Sister’s Place: https://mspny.org/ • Green Shakti: https://www.greensakthi.org/ • The Orangutan Project: https://www.theorangutanproject.eu/ • Voiceless: https://voiceless.org.au/ • Animals Australia: https://animalsaustralia.org/ You can explore the global movement here: https://podcasthon.org/podcaster/the-wisdom-we-share Thanks for listening to The Wisdom We Share. Click or Clash: Rethinking Connection, Loneliness and Love with Dr Ali Walker

Message us with your thoughts, burning questions, or reflections, we’d love to hear from you. In this episode of the Wisdom We Share podcast, we sit down with Dr Ali Walker to explore what it really means to connect, belong and lead in a world that is more “plugged in” yet lonelier than ever. Ali’s research sits at the crossroads of self-awareness, science and soulful leadership. Together we unpack her groundbreaking framework on connection types, how our wiring shapes every relationship in our lives, and what it takes to create a relationship “pool” that feels clear, nourishing and safe to swim in. This conversation is not about quick fixes. It is an invitation to look honestly at how you connect, where you feel misaligned, and how you can take sacred responsibility for the “container of energy” between you and the people you love, work with and lead. In this conversation we explore: - Why relationships are the strongest predictor of wellbeing, even above diet, sleep and exercise - Ali’s research on connection styles and why frequency and intensity matter more than “I like / don’t like this person” - The difference between aloneness, solitude and loneliness, and why you can feel lonely in a crowded room - How low, mid and high frequency connectors seek connection in very different ways - Why many low frequency people find nourishment in “non-human” sources of connection such as nature, art, animals and spiritual practice - How intensity shows up in relationships, from shared activity to deep, eye to eye conversations - Why friendships often feel easier than romantic partnerships, and how complements differ from mirrors - The idea of each relationship as a sacred container of energy that both people pour into Find Ali online: Website: https://awalker.co/ Assessment and programs: https://www.alitylife.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/draliwalker/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/draliwalker/ Thanks for listening to The Wisdom We Share.
