Speak from the Heart EP. 28 | Preacher Tim Mills

In Episode 28 of Speak From the Heart, we honor the life and legacy of Preacher Tim Mills.Preacher Tim served as the University of the Cumberlands baseball team chaplain, an FCA ambassador, and pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Harlan, Kentucky. While my personal interactions with him were limited, his impact on our team, community, and countless individuals was undeniable. After learning of his passing during the 2026 baseball season, I realized a lesson that many of us learn too late: we don't have as much time as we think we do. Months before his passing, Preacher Tim had expressed interest in being a guest on Speak From the Heart. Like many opportunities in life, I assumed there would always be another day to make that conversation happen. This episode is dedicated to honoring him through the voices of those who knew him best.Joined by my teammates Wesley Culley, Clay Shelton, and John Boy Rittenhouse, we reflect on the impact Preacher Tim had on their lives, his unwavering faith, his love for people, and the legacy he leaves behind. Through their stories, we celebrate a man who devoted his life to serving Christ and encouraging others to do the same.If Preacher Tim impacted your life, we'd love for you to share a story or memory in the comments below."Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23Hopefully this conversation Speaks to your Heart. ❤️Listen to Speak from the Heart on ANY platform!Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7Bo6PGSuZUTKDXaJDAIrvcApple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/speak-from-the-heart/id1860487088#SpeakFromTheHeart #PreacherTimMills #FaithOverFear #ChristianPodcast #UniversityOfTheCumberlands #FCA #BaseballMinistry #ChristianTestimony #FaithJourney #Legacy #JesusChrist #CollegeBaseball #KingdomImpact #AthleteTestimony #ChristianLeadership

But what happens when your journey includes waiting, development, and learning that your value comes from something greater than the game itself? In this episode of Speak From the Heart, I sit down with Ball State defensive back Cole Earlewine. Cole shares his journey from Fishers, Indiana, to Division I football, navigating a redshirt season, earning opportunities within the Ball State program, and learning how to trust God through every stage of the process. We also dive into the influence of the Purpose Paradigm, a framework created by his father that helps people discover how God uniquely wired them to lead and serve. Speak from the Heart EP. 26 | Levi "Chevy" McAllister

Baseball is a game built around failure. Slumps, pressure, self-doubt, and expectations can either break you or shape you — and learning how to respond mentally is just as important as physical ability. In this episode of Speak From the Heart, I sit down with Levi “Chevy” McAllister, catcher at UAlbany and founder of Block and Recover Co., a faith-based performance and wellness brand centered around mental resilience, identity, and faith. Chevy opens up about his journey from New Hampshire to Division I baseball, transferring from UConn to UAlbany, and learning how to stay grounded through both success and adversity. We talk about the mental side of baseball, his “Block and Recover” mindset, the meaning behind his “snap and clap” approach, and how his relationship with Christ transformed the way he handles pressure, failure, and identity as an athlete. If you’ve ever struggled mentally in sports…If you’ve ever tied your worth to performance…If you’ve ever needed peace in the middle of pressure and expectations…This episode is for you.📖 “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2📖 “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7If this encouraged you, subscribe, share with someone who needs it, and let me know your thoughts in the comments.Hopefully this conversation Speaks to your Heart. ❤️Listen to Speak from the Heart on ANY platform!Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7Bo6PGSuZUTKDXaJDAIrvc?si=c132ba80d8b745b6&nd=1&dlsi=7141eaa14ba14d0dApple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/speak-from-the-heart/id1860487088#SpeakFromTheHeart #LeviMcAllister #BlockAndRecover #FaithAndBaseball #ChristianAthletes #MentalPerformance #IdentityInChrist #FaithOverFear #CollegeBaseball #TrustGod #ChristianPodcast #BaseballMentality #HopeInChrist #FaithJourney

Gymnastics can look perfect from the outside — the routines, the scores, the performances under the lights. But behind the scenes, there’s pressure, doubt, sacrifice, and the constant challenge of finding your identity beyond performance. In this episode of Speak From the Heart, I sit down with University of Georgia gymnast Brooke Gleichowski, a standout on beam, host of the Beam Boldly podcast, and someone who’s passionate about living out her faith boldly both in and out of competition. Speak from the Heart EP. 23 | Big Time Lies

In this episode of Speak From The Heart, I talk about the “Big Time Lies” we often believe about ourselves—and how they quietly shape the way we live, think, and chase success. From feeling like we are what we feel, what people say about us, or even what we do, it’s easy to get caught in a cycle of performance, comparison, and constant approval-seeking. But when we start building our identity on the opinions of the world, it leaves us empty and never satisfied. This episode explores the truth behind those lies, what Scripture says about identity, and how a performance-driven mindset can slowly lead us away from who we were really created to be. Instead of chasing validation, we’re invited into something deeper—an identity that is received, not achieved. If you’ve ever felt like you’re not enough, constantly comparing yourself, or striving to prove your worth, this episode is for you. It’s time to stop chasing identity… and start living from it. You are already who God says you are. ❤️Listen to Speak From The Heart on ANY platform!Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7Bo6PGSuZUTKDXaJDAIrvc?si=c132ba80d8b745b6&nd=1&dlsi=7141eaa14ba14d0dApple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/speak-from-the-heart/id1860487088#Faith #IdentityInChrist #MindsetShift #Truth #SpiritualGrowth #Purpose #SelfWorth #ChristianLiving #GrowthMindset #RealTalk #SpeakFromTheHeart #PodcastClips #NewEpisode #StayRooted #HeartCheck

Speak from the Heart EP. 21: Pierce George

In this episode of Speak From the Heart, I sit down with Pierce George, a pitcher in the Chicago White Sox organization, to talk about the faith behind his baseball journey.Pierce grew up in Austin, Texas, competing at powerhouse Lake Travis High School in one of the most talent-rich baseball areas in the country. As a two-sport athlete playing both football and baseball, Pierce developed the discipline and toughness that helped prepare him for the next level. After beginning his college career at Texas, Pierce eventually transferred to Alabama, where he became one of the hardest-throwing pitchers in college baseball — touching 102 mph out of the bullpen. But behind the velocity and national attention is a deeper story of patience, humility, and trusting God through transitions, expectations, and uncertainty.Pierce shares how his faith has shaped his preparation, helped him navigate the recruiting process, guided him through college baseball, and continues to anchor him as he begins his journey in professional baseball with the White Sox organization. This conversation is a reminder that our identity isn’t found in performance, rankings, or radar guns — it’s found in Christ.“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3If you're an athlete chasing a dream, dealing with pressure, or learning to trust God's timing, this episode is for you.🙏 Subscribe for more Speak From the Heart conversations where athletes share the faith behind their story.
