Seed of Faith: Called to Freedom

In this week's Seed of Faith, Pastor Dave continues looking at the freedom of worship in Galatians 5. For freedom Christ has set us free, so stand firm and live by the Spirit, bearing the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Worship is about the purpose of freedom, the perseverance of freedom, and the person of freedom, Jesus Christ. Then, from Acts 2, Pastor Dave shows how the early church was a learning, fellowshipping, worshipping, generous, and rejoicing church, and challenges us to be people of the Book.

    But God: Loves

In this week's message in Pastor Dave's But God series, we read Ephesians 2:1-10. We were dead in our sins, but God, because of His great love for us and rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ. It is by grace you have been saved, through faith, as a gift of God. His grace saves us, sustains us like a lamp for the next step (Psalm 119:105), and is sufficient in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You can't outrun His grace. However far you've gone, His grace goes farther. Grace wins.

Seed of Faith: Christ Has Set Us Free

In this week's Seed of Faith, Pastor Dave turns to Paul's letter to the Galatians, a declaration of independence for believers set free by the gospel of grace. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free, so stand firm and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery (Galatians 5:1). Sharing the Isaiah 61 call that shaped his own life, Pastor Dave asks where Jesus is calling you to leave a prison of self, sin, shame, or fear. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

But God: Intended It for Good (Part 2)

In this continuation of Pastor Dave's But God series, Joseph looks at the brothers who sold him and says, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good" (Genesis 50:20). The pit does not cancel the promise. Like a weaver, God works every thread, dark and light, together for good (Romans 8:28). Forgiveness places the right to revenge in His hands so the wound no longer holds you captive. What has been torn becomes your testimony.

    Worship Is Dangerous

In this message from the Seed Christian Fellowship, Pastor Dave opens Isaiah’s vision and the Lord’s Prayer and asks whether we have made worship too safe. The real danger is that true worship transforms. Like Isaiah, we cry “Woe to me” when we see the King—and like the disciples, we discover that following the risen Christ costs everything. C.S. Lewis’s Beaver says it best: “Safe? Who said anything about safe? Of course he isn’t safe. But he’s good.” When we pray “Hallowed be your name,” we step onto holy ground. Take off your shoes. Hold your heart in your hands. The veil is torn. Come ready to be changed. #WorshipIsDangerous #Isaiah6 #LordsPrayer #HallowedBeYourName #SeedChristianFellowship

    But God: Strengthens

In week three of Pastor Dave’s But God series at the Seed Christian Fellowship, the climb moves from “God remembered” and “God redeems” to Psalm 73:26: “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Faith does not pretend we are never weak. It knows where to turn when we are. David ran at Goliath in the name of the Lord. Paul, chained to a guard, learned the secret: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” The battle belongs to the Lord. He is enough in the valley, before the giant, and behind the prison door.Bring Him your weakness. He is your portion forever.#StrengthOfMyHeart #ButGod #Psalm73 #ICanDoAllThings #SeedChristianFellowship

But God: Intended It for Good (Part 1)

In week four of Pastor Dave's But God series, Joseph stands before the brothers who sold him into slavery and says, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good" (Genesis 50:20). The pit, the prison and the false accusations never canceled God's promise. Not everything is good, but in all things God works for the good of those who love him (Romans 8:28) – nothing is beyond his redeeming reach.

    Lift Up Your Hands

In this final message of the Psalms of Ascent at the Seed Christian Fellowship, Pastor Dave reaches the summit: Psalm 134. After the long climb from distant lands, the pilgrims arrive and hear the call: “Praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord who minister by night… Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord.” Discipleship that begins in repentance ends in praise. Worship is not a program or a performance. Our chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. You can lift your hands even when you do not feel like it—and let your heart follow. Come bless the Lord, and receive His blessing from Zion. #LiftUpYourHands #Psalm134 #SongsOfAscent #PraiseTheLord #SeedChristianFellowship
