Who Guards the Throne

What exactly stands between humanity and the divine? In this episode of Noetic Resonance, we follow the guardian at Eden's gate into a much larger and stranger world. Keruvim with multiple faces. Seraphim burning before the throne. Ophanim—wheels within wheels, covered in eyes. Seven angels standing in the presence of God. And ranks upon ranks of beings surrounding the divine throne. But these ancient images don't exist in isolation. From the lamassu of Mesopotamia to Hermes, Valkyries, Orishas, Xian, devas, and other messengers and spirit beings from around the world, humanity has repeatedly imagined the space between heaven and earth as anything but empty. So who are these beings? Guardians? Messengers? Heavenly attendants? Symbols? Something more?
