Why Do These Orthodox Jews Burn Israeli Flags?

They burn Israeli flags, embrace Iran's president, and get paraded everywhere as proof that Orthodox Jews oppose the State of Israel. Who are Neturei Karta, and do they speak for religious Jews?Rabbi Daniel Rowe answers a viewer's question about Neturei Karta and Satmar. He sets out what every Orthodox group agrees on about the Land of Israel, then traces where the disagreement came from. He covers the Talmud's Three Oaths, a thousand years of rabbis leading Jews home, Herzl's secular Zionism, Mizrachi and Agudat Yisrael, San Remo, Rav Kook, the Satmar Rebbe's Vayoel Moshe and the founding of the State. The episode separates a fringe of a few hundred activists from a theological debate that runs through the whole Orthodox world, and makes a surprising case: every side agrees that denying the Jewish people a state is a form of antisemitism. They disagree about whether to oppose it or accept it.Have a question or something you want Rabbi Rowe to react to? Has Noah's Ark Finally Been Found? Rabbi Rowe Reacts

Has Noah's Ark finally been found? A team says radar scans of the Durupınar formation, a ship-shaped mound near Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey, show corridors, compartments and decks, and that the site is "not geological." Drilling is underway and the headlines write themselves.Rabbi Daniel Rowe looks at the story behind the claim: the 1948 discovery, the 1959 aerial photos, the measurements that match the Torah's 300 cubits, and seventy years of expeditions, radar surveys, drilling and debunking. He explains why, so far, none of the new findings has been peer reviewed, why sensational claims need significant evidence, and why the truth of Torah never depended on an archaeological find. Then he turns to the deeper message of Noah: that God never gives up on humanity, and that one person can stand against a whole world and say the majority is wrong.Subscribe for more from Rabbi Rowe Reacts, and let us know in the comments what you think of the claim. 0:00 Has Noah's Ark been found? 0:34 The new claim: Noah's Ark Scans 1:14 The Durupınar site 2:06 157 metres and 300 cubits 2:35 Seventy years of investigations 4:02 The new claims: 2019 to today 4:39 Why caution matters 7:33 The real message of Noah 8:19 Noah stood alone 10:29 Where the truth of Torah lies Be sure to subscribe to the channel for weekly videos on Jewish philosophy, wisdom and world-changing ideas.--------Rabbi Daniel Rowe is a popular Rabbi, philosopher, and education visionary at AISH, who uses his deep knowledge of Judaism, science, and philosophy to captivate and educate audiences across the globe. To listen to Rabbi Rowe Reacts on your favorite podcast platform: https://pods.link/rabbirowereactsTo listen to Real Talk with Rabbi Rowe on your favorite podcast platform: https://pods.link/realtalkwithrabbiroweFollow Rabbi Rowe on social media for regular new uploads and updates:YouTube: @rabbidanielrowe Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rabbidanielrowe/Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/1qPQn7TIWdQ8Dxvy6RfjyDInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/rabbidanielrowe/Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/cd5debfe-684c-411d-b0bc-223dcfa58a39/rabbi-daniel-roweTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@rabbi.daniel.rowe#jewish #rabbi #jewishwisdom #torah #judaism #aish #askmeanything

Three Years Since October 7: The Dance That Never Stopped

Three years ago, on Simchat Torah, the day Jews around the world dance with the Torah, came one of the darkest days in Jewish history. But it wasn't the first time darkness came to the Jewish people on this festival.Rabbi Daniel Rowe tells stories from the Holocaust: a barber in Kraków forced to desecrate the Torah, who instead held it to his heart and danced; men in the Warsaw Ghetto dancing with a boy as the deportations went on; prisoners in a labor camp circling a hidden Sefer Torah; and the Belzer Rebbe, who escaped before the seventh hakafa, and the Belzer Chassidim who returned decades later to finish the dance. We cry, and we dance. Not because the world is perfect, but because we believe in what it can become. And for those whose lives were stolen on October 7, we can carry their light forward, one name at a time. May their memory be a blessing. 00:00 Three years since October 7 01:26 The barber of Kraków 02:49 Dancing in the ghettos and camps 03:41 Belz and the seventh hakafa 04:15 The sixth hakafa for the six million 04:35 Why we keep dancing 05:22 "I don't carry hatred" 06:16 Take a name each year Be sure to subscribe to the channel for weekly videos on Jewish philosophy, wisdom and world-changing ideas.--------Rabbi Daniel Rowe is a popular Rabbi, philosopher, and education visionary at AISH, who uses his deep knowledge of Judaism, science, and philosophy to captivate and educate audiences across the globe. To listen to Rabbi Rowe Reacts on your favorite podcast platform: https://pods.link/rabbirowereactsTo listen to Real Talk with Rabbi Rowe on your favorite podcast platform: https://pods.link/realtalkwithrabbiroweFollow Rabbi Rowe on social media for regular new uploads and updates:YouTube: @rabbidanielrowe Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rabbidanielrowe/Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/1qPQn7TIWdQ8Dxvy6RfjyDInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/rabbidanielrowe/Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/cd5debfe-684c-411d-b0bc-223dcfa58a39/rabbi-daniel-roweTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@rabbi.daniel.rowe#jewish #rabbi #jewishwisdom #torah #judaism #aish #askmeanything

What Bible Critics Get Wrong About Sukkot

Why does the Torah call Sukkot "the time of our joy" when we leave our comfortable homes to sit in a flimsy hut? Rabbi Daniel Rowe uncovers a fascinating clue hidden in the Exodus story. The Torah says God placed the Israelites in sukkot when He took them out of Egypt, yet we only ever read about them living in tents. So where were the sukkot? Drawing on the Torah text, the Talmud and the archaeology of ancient Egypt, Rabbi Rowe reveals that the Israelites' first stop, a place called Sukkot, was an old Semitic transit camp, waiting for them with huts and building materials on their very first night of freedom. It was God's way of saying: I've got you covered. The lesson for us? Every Sukkot in the Torah is a place for people on a journey. True joy doesn't come from standing still and getting comfortable. It comes from growing, one step at a time, knowing God is with us every step of the way. The 3 Levels of Forgiveness You've Never Heard | A Yom Kippur Message

On Yom Kippur we ask God for forgiveness three separate ways, and most of us have no idea they mean different things. The 2 Mistakes Everyone Makes With New Year's Resolutions

Every year we walk into the New Year with sincere plans to change — and every year they collapse within days. Rabbi Daniel Rowe breaks down the two mistakes almost everyone makes with resolutions: dreaming too big to sustain, or shrinking the goal so small it doesn't matter. The fix lies in the Hebrew language itself — the word for change, "shinuy," shares a root with the word for year, "shana." Real change takes a year, not a day. Rabbi Rowe walks through the seed we plant on Rosh Hashana, the resolution we carry through Sukkot, and the slow growth through the Jewish calendar — from conception at Rosh Hashana to birth at Pesach to full maturity by Elul — as the real model for lasting change.0:00 The two mistakes we make with resolutions 0:54 Mistake #1: A vision too big to sustain 1:10 Mistake #2: A change too small to matter 1:30 Why change takes a year (Shinuy & Shana) 2:11 Planting the seed on Rosh Hashana 3:16 Walking out into Sukkot with your resolution 4:11 Growing the change, month by month 5:25 Born on Pesach, mature by ElulBe sure to subscribe to the channel for weekly videos on Jewish philosophy, wisdom and world-changing ideas.--------Rabbi Daniel Rowe is a popular Rabbi, philosopher, and education visionary at AISH, who uses his deep knowledge of Judaism, science, and philosophy to captivate and educate audiences across the globe. To listen to Rabbi Rowe Reacts on your favorite podcast platform: https://pods.link/rabbirowereactsTo listen to Real Talk with Rabbi Rowe on your favorite podcast platform: https://pods.link/realtalkwithrabbiroweFollow Rabbi Rowe on social media for regular new uploads and updates:YouTube: @rabbidanielrowe Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rabbidanielrowe/Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/1qPQn7TIWdQ8Dxvy6RfjyDInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/rabbidanielrowe/Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/cd5debfe-684c-411d-b0bc-223dcfa58a39/rabbi-daniel-roweTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@rabbi.daniel.rowe#jewish #rabbi #jewishwisdom #torah #judaism #aish #askmeanything

The Red-Green Alliance: Why Anti-Semitism Isn't Really About the Jews

This channel exists in part to fight anti-Semitism head-on, debunking Talmud lies, pushing back on viral smears. But my guest today argues that strategy, while necessary, is losing the larger war. Rabbi Dr. Aharon Ariel Lavi runs the Jerusalem Interfaith Center, lives on the Gaza border, and has spent the last year leading a confidential research project, over 100 field interviews across the Muslim, Hindu, Christian, and African worlds, to map who is actually funding and driving global anti-Semitism, and who could be standing with the Jewish people instead. We get into what he calls the "Red-Green Alliance" the strange-bedfellows coalition of radical neo-Marxism and political Islam, and why he says its real target was never Israel alone, but the West itself, with Jews simply the forward position. We talk about the money: Qatar's multi-billion-dollar investment in reshaping Western academia and K-12 curricula, how groups like CAIR and ISNA operate, and why "explaining anti-Semitism away" with more facts doesn't work. Then we flip to the hopeful half of his research: an estimated 2 to 2.5 billion people worldwide; Hindus, evangelical Christians in Africa, Assyrians, Iranian dissidents, Druze, and moderate Muslim communities, who share real theological and historical common ground with the Jewish people, and are often more eager for partnership than the Jewish world realizes. We close on what "interfaith diplomacy" (not just dialogue) actually looks like in practice, the mistakes of past interfaith efforts, and what he thinks every Jewish leader, funder, and educator should be doing right now. 00:00:00 – Introduction: Meet Rabbi Dr. Aharon Ariel Lavi 00:01:06 – Why Fighting Antisemitism With Facts Alone Fails 00:04:01 – The Red-Green Alliance: Marxism and Political Islam United 00:07:21 – Why October 7th Sparked an Unprecedented Eruption 00:10:19 – Iran's Real Goal: Mecca, Medina, and the Caliphate 00:12:25 – Qatar's Billion-Dollar Capture of Academia and K-12 Schools 00:16:41 – Utopian Ideology Without Accountability 00:19:21 – The Answer: Building an Abrahamic Counter-Movement 00:21:49 – Inside the Research: 100+ Interviews and a 350-Page Report 00:27:46 – Key Finding: 2.5 Billion Potential Allies Worldwide 00:33:38 – Push and Pull: Shared Enemies, Shared Values 00:37:41 – Why Faith Must Be Central to Interfaith Diplomacy 00:40:20 – Fake Partners: How the Muslim Brotherhood Infiltrated Jewish Groups 00:43:41 – Training, Nuance, and Building Alliances the Right Way 00:48:40 – Gaza, Education, and the Call to Action for Jewish Leaders 00:55:52 – Theology, Red Lines, and the Path to Reconciliation Be sure to subscribe to the channel for weekly videos on Jewish philosophy, wisdom and world-changing ideas. -------- Rabbi Daniel Rowe is a popular Rabbi, philosopher, and education visionary at AISH, who uses his deep knowledge of Judaism, science, and philosophy to captivate and educate audiences across the globe. To listen to Rabbi Rowe Reacts on your favorite podcast platform: https://pods.link/rabbirowereactsTo listen to Real Talk with Rabbi Rowe on your favorite podcast platform: https://pods.link/realtalkwithrabbirowe Follow Rabbi Rowe on social media for regular new uploads and updates: YouTube: @rabbidanielrowe Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rabbidanielrowe/Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/1qPQn7TIWdQ8Dxvy6RfjyDInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/rabbidanielrowe/Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/cd5debfe-684c-411d-b0bc-223dcfa58a39/rabbi-daniel-roweTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@rabbi.daniel.rowe#jewish #rabbi #jewishwisdom #torah #judaism #aish #askmeanything

Is THIS the Stone Jacob Slept On? Scotland's Wildest Biblical Legend

Did a biblical stone really end up in Scotland? This one has been fought over, stolen twice, and carried (by legend) thousands of miles — from Egypt to Ireland to Scotland, and all the way to the coronation of King Charles. In this episode of Rabbi React, we take the kids on a Scotland road trip, hiking near Ben Nevis and Glen Nevis, visiting Moot Hill in Scone, Stirling, the Highland Folk Museum, and the Isle of Skye, chasing the true story (and legend) behind the Stone of Destiny, and tracing it all the way back to Jacob's dream of the ladder in Genesis 28.
