    We’re living through some major planetary cycles right now—and they’re all telling part of the same story. In this episode, we zoom out to the Age of Pisces and then look at Neptune in Pisces, Uranus in Taurus, and Pluto in Capricorn to explore what these cycles have meant historically and what they may be showing us today. We’ll look at changing ideas of reality, spirituality, technology, money, power, and the structures that organize our lives, and consider what happens when those structures begin to change.

    Tropical vs. Sidereal Astrology Explained

    Why are tropical and sidereal astrology different — and which one should you use? In this episode of Enchanted Astrology, we explore the history and astronomy behind the tropical and sidereal zodiacs, including the precession of the equinoxes and the gradual 2,000-year drift between the seasonal zodiac and the stellar zodiac. We’ll look at how the zodiac was understood in antiquity, the development of Hellenistic astrology, and why tropical and sidereal astrology were once much more closely aligned than they are today. We’ll also explore what each system actually tracks, how the approximately 24° difference between them developed, and what that means for the astrology we practice now. The episode also explores the personal experience of moving from tropical to sidereal astrology, including what happens when familiar natal placements change and a different chart suddenly feels more representative of your lived experience. This isn't about deciding which system is "better." It's about understanding what each system does, why they differ, and giving yourself the opportunity to discover which approach resonates most strongly with you. Starting August 17th, Enchanted Astrology will move to Monday releases featuring sidereal weekly delineations.

    Seeing with New Eyes | The Astrology of August 5–11, 2026

    As we approach the powerful Leo Solar Eclipse on August 12, this week's astrology invites us to examine the stories that shape our identities and our collective future. This episode explores the major planetary shifts—including Venus entering Libra, Mercury entering Leo, Mars and Ceres entering Cancer, and Mercury's opposition to Pluto—to reveal a larger evolutionary movement from the shadow of Leo toward the humanitarian vision of Aquarius.     The Caterpillar, Cocoon, and Butterfly | Aquarius Full Moon July 29, 2026

    This week we explore the powerful Aquarius Full Moon on July 29th and the profound themes of transformation, identity, and evolution woven throughout this chart. With the Sun conjunct Jupiter in Leo opposing the Moon conjunct Pluto in Aquarius, we are being invited into a deeper process of evolution, one that requires us to release old identities, emotional attachments, and familiar ways of moving through the world in order to make space for something entirely new. Through the metaphor of the caterpillar becoming the butterfly, we explore the symbolism of the cocoon: the quiet, unseen process of transformation where the old form dissolves and a new expression of life begins to emerge. We unpack the South Node in Leo and North Node in Aquarius, exploring the difference between becoming a bigger version of who we have always been versus allowing ourselves to evolve into something completely different.     This week we explore the rare Basket Configuration in astrology through the story of a city building itself. With Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, and Jupiter in Leo, forming what is known as the Barbault Basket of July 2026, we enter a time of transformation, imagination, innovation, and creative expression. Through the city’s journey, we explore the evolutionary current of Neptune sextile Pluto, the collective transformation of Pluto in Aquarius, the courage of Neptune in Aries, the awakening of Uranus in Gemini, and the creative heart of Jupiter in Leo opposite Pluto. This configuration invites us to imagine a world where every person is supported in becoming who they are, where our unique gifts and expressions contribute to the greater whole, and where we participate in creating the future we wish to experience.
