    Wolfe Brack

    Meet Wolfe Brack; artist, painter, sculptor, and avid people watcher. Wolfe make insanely detailed ecosystems that lure in your eyes and delight with complexity and curiosity. Whether its painting city scapes at the micro level or zooming way out and creating unique and amazing ecumenopolises (a planet made of a single continuous city) Wolfe really does try to entertain the brain. If you would like to see more of Wolfe's work you can visit his exhibition at The Bunker Center for the Arts in the Crossroads downtown KC or you can see him in person as the Executive Director of the wonderful Inter-Urban Arthouse over in Overland Park.     Brian Gerald Bulger

    Singer, songwriter and author Brian Gerald Bulger stopped by the studio to share his songs and his stories of growing up as one of ten children in an evangelical home in Missouri to losing two siblings at young ages, Brian has had a pretty rough go at life and he shares that experience in a very honest and sincere way through bucolic storytelling and inviting melodies.     Albukirky

    Brandon Kirk, AKA, Alburkiky stopped by the studio to share his love for food, family, poetry and puns. Sadly, we were not able to capture video from his amazing performance, so just give it a listen like its an old radio show and pretend there is a very energetic man with jazz hands running around and giving big bear hugs to everyone nearby. Links are provided below. A message from Brandon: "Albukirky is a fatherless father and storyteller. He uses spoken word poetry to sift through ideas of fatherhood, identity, and self-image alongside folks with Dad trauma, those uncomfortable in their own bodies, and those who feel like outsiders. Before finding poetry, he dabbled with stand up comedy and theatre, and his tech job led him to speaking in front of crowds as large as 1500—but never about what matters most. He was driven to start writing and performing poetry in order to reconnect with his roots as a storyteller. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, he currently hails from Kansas City where he's nominated for Best Poet/Spoken Word Artist in The Pitch Magazine's Best of KC 2026. He earned a spot in the Fountain City Grand Slam by being a perpetual 3rd place finisher at Poetic Underground’s Slams—however, he did win one at the Ellery in Lincoln, Nebraska.     Kevin Norton

    Kevin swung by the studio to share some of his favorite songs from the 'Burg. From emotional bummer songs to a rauckus sing-alongs like Jim the Wonder Dog, Kevin has really enjoyed the songwriting experience and sharing his story with the community.     Annie Honn

    Annie Honn is a formally trained glass blower who received her Bachelors of the Fine Arts from Emporia State University in 2020. She trained at Kansas City’s own Monarch Glass Studio for one year before making her way as an independent artist. Working primarily out of the studio of Karg Art Glass (Kechi, Ks) Annie is a commission based artist as well as creating one of a kind works of art for the gallery. Annie has had the pleasure of studying under renowned artists such as Patrick Martin, Jen Elek, and David Walters during her 7 year career. Annie looks at everyday in the shop as practice no matter if its production or a more intricate project, continually honing the technical aspects of hot glass. You can currently find her sweating away in the glass lab as part of her artist residency at Englewood Arts in Independence.     The Strawberry Girls

    Meet Marci Renée, founder of Creative Voices of Freedom, a non-profit that uses storytelling and art to break the silence of human trafficking and raise global awareness. They support pathways to freedom, healing, and justice for those impacted by exploitation and modern slavery globally through economic opportunity. In this session, Marci takes us through the stages of human trafficking in the strawberry fields of Spain, her encounter with Habiba, a woman sold into slavery, and her chance to tell her story that has sparked international attention.     Kate Stoiber

    We had the absolute pleasure of hanging out with musician and teacher Kate Stoiber. The softness but yet sturdiness of her voice added to the descriptive and poignant nature of her lyrics got everyone into their emotions. We were on the hunt for tissues the entire time! She had us thinking about our parents, our partners, and about our public school systems. It was great to get to know Kate and her fam and friends.
