Adoption in Montana: Supporting Women, Children, and Families | With Brinn Higinbotham

In this episode of The Abort Ignorance Montana Podcast, host Tanaia Puchta sits down with Brinn Higinbotham of Sacred Portion Children's Outreach to discuss the realities of adoption, the needs of vulnerable children and families, and how Montanans can become part of the solution. Together, they explore common misconceptions about adoption, the challenges facing children in need of permanent families, and the opportunities for churches, communities, and individuals to support women, children, and adoptive families. This conversation highlights adoption not simply as an alternative, but as a life-affirming response that requires compassion, commitment, and community. Brinn's path into social work was shaped by a deep desire to connect with others, provide support, and make a lasting impact in the lives of children and families. Her early experiences included working in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), supporting children with developmental needs, and walking alongside individuals who had experienced trauma from interpersonal violence. These formative roles gave her a strong foundation in empathy, communication, and trauma-informed care. Over time, she felt called to use what she had learned in a way that more fully aligned with her faith and passion for serving others. Whether you're considering adoption, supporting a loved one through an adoption journey, or simply want to learn more about how Montana can better care for women, children, and families, this episode offers practical insights and an encouraging vision for the future. It's time to educate, advocate, and heal the culture in Montana surrounding abortion. The cost of ignorance is greater than the price of truth. Together, let's pay the price to find the truth. What Are Montana Students Being Taught About Abortion? | With Emily Schneller (Ep.7)

In this episode of The Abort Ignorance Montana Podcast, we ask an important question: What are Montana students being taught about abortion? Are college classrooms fostering open dialogue — or is one perspective quietly dominating the conversation? Host Tanaia Puchta sits down with Montana native Emily (Kokot) Schneller to discuss her firsthand experience navigating pro-life advocacy on campus at Rocky Mountain College in Billings where she earned her degree in Political Science with High Honors. During her time at RMC, she served as an officer for Young Americans for Freedom and hosted nationally recognized speakers including Rachel Campos-Duffy, Liz Wheeler, and Kristan Hawkins. In 2019, Emily gained national attention after attempting to display a pro-life memorial of crosses on campus — an effort that sparked unexpected backlash and national media coverage. That experience helped shape her book, Misled: How the Pro-Abortion Message Deceives Young Americans (2022), where she explores how abortion messaging reaches young Americans through textbooks, professors, and social media. This conversation examines campus culture in Montana, the pressures students face when expressing dissenting views, and whether true academic diversity still exists in higher education. Whether you’re a parent, student, educator, or simply curious about the future of free speech in Montana colleges, this episode offers a thoughtful and personal look at the conversation shaping the next generation.
