Sydney and M

Hey y’all—ready to sip some tea, ramble about everything, and dive into whatever is happening in our brains? Good, because neither are we… but we’re doing it anyway. Grab a drink, get cozy, and hang out with two besties navigating life, healing through their trauma, and laughing through the chaos (tissues may be required). Each episode features our Sips of the Week, plus stories from our travels, concert adventures, and whatever else we’re currently overthinking. Buckle Up Buttercup... The Moon Knows

Sips of the Week are farmers market vibes with blueberry iced tea and lemonade for a little homemade Arnold Palmer! 🫐🍋 And in a shocking confession, Sydney reveals she HATED tea her entire childhood… despite being raised a southern bumpkin. Naturally, one conversation spirals into another, and suddenly we’re hearing the absolutely hilarious story of how basic training somehow changed Sydney’s opinion on mustard. We talk about working our booties off, Sydney’s growing excitement for Louder Than Life, and—because apparently our brains refuse to stay on one topic—her STRANGE dreams. Those dreams lead us straight into our true crime detective era, complete with random license plates being saved in our Notes app like we’re solving a case. 🕵️‍♀️ Then M takes us on a little moon fact journey because we’re entering a new moon, and apparently the moon has been keeping tabs on us this whole time. 🌙 We dive into what it means that Sydney was born under a waning crescent moon while M was born under a waning gibbous, and let’s just say… some things hit a little too close to home. We also celebrate our website and how cool it’s been watching this little podcast grow. AND we got our first submission through the website!! 🥹💌 We love seeing you guys become part of this crazy little corner of the internet with us. With M’s birthday VERY VERY soon, we get a little deeper and talk about healing, learning to love every part of yourself, and realizing that YES, you are absolutely allowed to celebrate yourself. 🎂✨ Sydney also shares a few relationship tid-bits that she doesn’t hear talked about nearly enough—but are things she wholeheartedly lives by. Basically… blueberry tea, mustard, dreams, crime-solving, moon magic, self-love, birthdays, and a whole lot of spiraling. Just another episode of Chittin’ and Chattin’. ☕️🌙💗

    We're Connecting Dots Again...

This week’s Sips of the Week is a cozy lemon ginger tea with brown sugar cinnamon syrup — delicious and a little spiritually charged, apparently. From there, we spiral (in the best way) into the idea that nothing in the universe is random. We talk numerology, Pythagoras, and how different cultures assign meaning to numbers — including Syd’s 33 (the Master Teacher) and M’s 8 (the powerhouse). Of course, we fully accept these identities. 😂 Find your "Life Path" number at: https://www.tokenrock.com/numerology/life-path-number-calculator/ or just search, Token Rock Life Path Number We also get into career shifts, LinkedIn glow-ups, and the reminder that we’re not starting over — we’re building on everything we’ve already done. Then it’s all about signs from the universe: butterflies, dragonflies, praying mantises, and those little moments that make you go… “wait, is this something?” Somehow we also end up questioning history timelines, debating music volume rules, and confirming that Syd would absolutely adopt every child if she became a teacher. And in true Spill It, Bestie fashion, we’ve got chaos: foster kids, family life, a suspicious water bottle, and a note that sends an ex into a spiral. Oh — and BIG NEWS… we have a website!!! 🎉💻 Check us out, scroll the archives of all our previous Sips of the Week, and send any submissions for any of our segments on: https://chittinandchattin.com Come hang with us for another episode of rabbit holes, realizations, and the gentle reminder that maybe… nothing is random.

    Can't Even External Monologue

This week's Sips of the Week are McDonald's Refreshers served in our cutest glasses—because we're classy like that. 🥂 Syd is sipping on a Sprite Berry Blast while M is enjoying the Mango Pineapple, and our adorable hats somehow spiral into one of the messiest Spill It, Bestie conversations we've had yet. Both of us recently had job interviews that didn't pan out, but we're choosing to see them for what they are: progress. Information is information, and every experience gets us one step closer to where we're meant to be. We chat about the importance of having people in your corner who genuinely want to see you succeed and celebrate the little wins along the way. Syd and her hubby also caught The Odyssey (10/10, highly recommend!) and absolutely lost it over the preview for the upcoming To Catch a Predator movie. Naturally, this sends us down a rabbit hole about Syd's movie obsession, Christopher Nolan, and eventually... how completely exhausted we are by our own brains. 😂 We also celebrate some good karma as Syd and her hubby find a "new-to-them" car thanks to the kindness of some truly wonderful people. From there, we fully embrace the chaos and compare all of our brain quirks—from having what feels like 100 safari tabs open at all times (they're all important, okay?!) to realizing we both have a nonstop internal monologue. By the end of the episode, we've reached one very important conclusion: we live in Chitter Chatter Brain Brain, while some people are apparently out here living in a silent movie. We genuinely can't relate.

The Questions Around Nolan Wells & Our Weekly Chaos

We didn't even care about our Sips of the Week because we had the real Treat of the Week! M made the most incredible homemade peach cobbler using fresh peaches from a roadside stand, and honestly...it completely stole the show. We paired it with a classic brown sugar latte as we both continue our yearly transition into fall the second the Fourth of July is over. The bulk of today's episode is spent discussing the heartbreaking and still-developing case of 18-year-old Nolan Wells. After spending the Fourth of July on an island in Mississippi with friends, Nolan was reported missing by his mom that same night after those friends left the island without him and without notifying anyone. His body was found on the island two days later, and as of recording, many questions remain unanswered while we await autopsy results and more information. Sydney walks through the timeline, the strange details surrounding the case, and the similarities that have us asking even more questions as we tumble down another true crime rabbit hole together. Before we wrap up, Sydney gives everyone a very last-minute invitation to her and her hubby's island party (weather permitting, of course), and somehow that turns into a conversation about how difficult it is to build yourself up, chase your dreams, and start your own business without much support. We finish things off with a few more Real Life Realizations as we reflect on how much we've grown. Grab your favorite coffee, dessert, or both, and come chittin' and chattin' with us. 🤎

Two Sauce Queens and Their Quirks

This week's Sips of the Week was a refreshing passionfruit margarita while we welcomed the first day of summer with a little chat about paganism and the changing of the seasons. 🍹☀️ We wasted absolutely no time jumping into Spill It, Bestie, and WOW... this one was a doozy. The final verdict? Don't give the "nice guy" a chance just because he's nice—it might not be worth it. 😂 That conversation naturally snowballed into another Spill It, Bestie where we vent about people (mostly men... and narcissists 👀) who listen just to prepare their rebuttal instead of actually hearing someone else's perspective. We also talk about the beauty of true friendships—the kind where your bestie can lovingly point out the things you aren't seeing, and you trust them enough to actually listen. 💛 On a lighter note, Syd got a replacement wedding band for work and has officially become a silicone ring collector, rotating between what feels like eight different wedding bands depending on the day. She also casually drops that she's now bench pressing 115 pounds, so... everyone stay on your best behavior. 💪 M's cats make their first-ever (very brief) appearance on the podcast, and we discuss how one of them is... let's just say, incredibly unique. 😅 Naturally, we also end up ranking all of our favorite sauces because, as it turns out, we're both absolute sauce queens. To wrap up Pride Month, Syd brings one last round of LGBTQ+ facts, including some fascinating history from ancient Egypt and Greece. We also announce an upcoming episode about religious trauma, so if you'd like to share your story or experience, we'd love for you to write in. ❤️
