    Ep. 10 The BEST Interracial Buddy Movies (Men)

    From action movies to comedy classics, some of the best movie duos ever put a Black man and a white man together and had them hash it out. With DC’s Lanterns and the controversial By Any Means getting people talking, I decided Episode 10 was the perfect time to look back at some of my favorite interracial buddy movies featuring Black and white male leads. We’re talking comedy, action, drama and everything in between, from movies like Lethal Weapon, Men in Black, White Men Can’t Jump, Die Hard with a Vengeance and more. Which Black & white movie duo had the BEST chemistry? 👀 I’ll break down some of my favorites, what makes these pairings work, and at the end I’m ranking the ones that stand above the rest. In Episode 9, we’re asking one very important question: What would Mookie from Do the Right Thing do about the Texas Roadhouse controversy? 😤 I’m breaking down Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing, the real-life racial tensions and events reflected in the film, and why a movie released in 1989 still feels VERY relevant today. We’ll get into Mookie, Sal’s Famous Pizzeria, the film’s themes of racism, protest, anger, community, and what happens when people finally reach their breaking point.     In this pod we'll get into the heavy news week, how Amazon is completely out of control with their movie output, part 1 of Oscar homework i'm getting through, and IShowSpeed's Africa tour reminding people once more what Africa has to offer. This weeks Oscar homework includes films that have women nominated for Best Actress: If I Had Legs I'd Kick you and Hamnet. I'll dive into what I think about these two movies and how I feel so far about who has the best chance at winning Best Actress at the Oscars.
