    S. 3 E. 4 Your Biggest Mistake Might Be The Setup For Your Most Powerful Testimony

Your Biggest Mistake Might Be The Setup For Your Most Powerful Testimony We all carry one. A decision we'd take back. A season where we moved wrong. A call that cost more than we planned. And most leaders do one of two things with it — they bury it and push through, or they perform past it while the weight quietly shapes every decision they make next. In this series finale of Breakthrough Behaviors, Coach Paul names the thing most leaders never say out loud and shows you what God actually wants you to do with your mistakes — something more freeing and more powerful than hiding or performing. In this episode: Why God isn't after a perfect record — He's after a maturing leader, and why the size of the mistake matters far less than the posture of your heart in response to it. What full ownership actually looks like, drawn from David and Peter — two men whose failures didn't immobilize them because they refused to deflect, manage their image, or offer partial acknowledgment. The quiet warning of Saul and the rich young ruler — how partial obedience dressed up as surrender keeps us stuck, and the honest question to ask about the area of your assignment you may not have fully submitted. A simple three-step framework for processing any mistake as a leader: Own it. Submit it. Move forward. Scripture referenced: 2 Corinthians 7:10 · Psalm 51:10 · John 21 You don't have to carry the weight of every mistake into your next season. Your biggest mistake might be the setup for your most powerful testimony — but only if you stop hiding it, stop performing past it, and start surrendering it to the God who already knows how to build something greater from it. S. 3. E. 3 "You Were Not Built To Run Someone Else's Race"

FOMO isn't just a social media problem — it's a focus problem, and at the root of every focus problem is a trust problem. In this solo episode, Coach Paul unpacks how comparison quietly hijacks your assignment, why you can be busy and productive while completely off course, and how clarity (not willpower) is the real fix. If you've ever looked at someone else's launch, numbers, or platform and suddenly questioned your own pace — this one is for you. S. 3 E. 2 "Doubt Doesn't Disqualify You. Staying In It Does."

Built For Confidence | Week 2: Doubt the Doubt June Series — The Breakthrough Behaviors Episode Description Have you ever been in the middle of an assignment you know God gave you, and quietly wondered if you really heard Him right? Not because the vision disappeared — but because the process got harder and longer than you planned for. That's the place between two somewheres. And in week two of The Breakthrough Behaviors, Coach Paul Ybarra tackles the one thing most leaders won't talk about openly: doubt. Not the kind that means you lost your faith — the kind that shows up right in the middle of the calling. What you do with it determines everything about what comes next. Here's the line to hold onto: Doubt does not disqualify you from the calling, but staying in a doubtful mindset will keep you from walking it out. What We Cover The distinction that changes everything — doubt vs. unbelief. Jesus responded differently to each. Doubt is transitory, a wavering moment He corrects but doesn't rebuke (Peter on the water). Unbelief is a fixed decision, a hardness of heart. Peter had enough faith in his doubt to step out of the boat. When doubt becomes a posture, not a moment. The "rehearsal trap" — replaying every reason it won't work until you condition your mind to expect defeat before faith has room to move. Coach Paul gets honest about his own "fire starter" years: branding it, posting it, launching it, but no follow-through, always questioning the calling when the process got hard.Clarity comes through obedience, not before it. Abraham left without a complete itinerary — just a direction and a promise. Don't worry about the how; focus on the why. The next obedient step is almost always visible. The full roadmap usually isn't.The Takeaway A moment of doubt inside the process is not the same as a decision to reject the assignment. Peter got out of the boat, started to sink, and Jesus caught him — then they walked back together. The doubt was a moment, not the end of the story. Your next step is already visible. Take it, bring your questions to God, and keep it moving. Scripture Referenced Matthew 14:28–31 (Peter on the water) · James 1:6–8 (the double-minded man) · John 11:21 (Martha at the tomb of Lazarus) · Hebrews 11:8 (Abraham's obedience) Your Call to Action Share this episode with somebody who's sitting on a decision they've been afraid to make. S. 3. E. 1 Breakthrough Behaviors Series Episode: "Your Next Level Is Waiting On A Renewed Mind"

What actually lives in the gap between where you are and where God is calling you? Most leaders will tell you it's not a lack of vision, gifting, or opportunity. It's the weight of everything running in the background — the pressure of the unknown, the replay of what didn't work, the quiet voice asking if you're good enough. Your next level isn't waiting on a better plan. It's waiting on your renewed mind. In This Episode You'll Learn: What's really living in the gap between where you are and where God is calling youThe difference between processing a hard season and rehearsing failureWhy mental weight doesn't stay out of your business, your boardroom, or your homeHow to use Philippians 4:8 as a daily thought auditWhy renewing your mind positions you for your assignmentPractical steps to govern what gets access to your planning and decisionsKey Topics: The Bamboo Season — Bamboo grows underground for 5–9 years before it ever breaks the surface. If you're working hard without visible results yet, you're not failing. You're growing roots. Processing vs. Rehearsing — Processing a hard season moves you forward. Rehearsing failure conditions your mind to expect less than God promised. Taking Thoughts Captive (2 Corinthians 10:5) — This isn't just a spiritual concept. It's a practical leadership strategy. Every major decision you make is filtered through what has been running through your mind all week, all month, and all year. The Philippians 4:8 Filter — Run every thought through this daily audit: Is it true? Is it honorable? Is it excellent? Is it worthy of your mental energy? If it doesn't pass the filter, it doesn't get a seat at your table. Practical Application — Before You Open Your Phone: Identify the two or three thoughts that are loudest in your mindRun each one through the Philippians 4:8 filterReplace what doesn't pass the test with what God has actually spoken over your life through scriptureFree Resource: Daily Mindset Checkup Five simple questions every morning to help you govern what gets access to your planning, decisions, and leadership — yours absolutely free. 👉 Click Here For Your Daily Mindset Checkup Join the Kingdom Leaders Network (KLN) Ready to go deeper with a community of kingdom-minded business owners and leaders? 👉 Click Here For Free Invite! S. 2 E. 10 Moving from What You Do to Who You Are

Episode Overview In this episode, Paul Ybarra explores the essential shift from finding identity in "what we do" to "who we are" in Christ. Drawing from a morning walk spent in silence, Paul shares insights on entering a new season and the importance of being willing to release past achievements to stay aligned with God's purpose. Key Takeaways The Power of Unplugging: Paul discusses the necessity of cutting through the "clutter" and social media noise to hear clearly from God.The Identity Question: A powerful reflection on a lesson learned in recovery ministry: "If you are what you have and you lose it, then who are you?".Role vs. Identity: Paul emphasizes that he is not "Paul the Podcaster" or "Paul the Coach," but rather Paul who podcasts and Paul who coaches. This distinction ensures your value isn't tied to your business or tagline.Scriptural Foundation: Our true identity is found in Genesis 1:26-28, being created in God's image and likeness, and as a new creation in Christ.Weekly Execution Plan Paul challenges kingdom builders to take immediate action: Identify: Where is your identity anchored today?.Plan: What is your specific action plan for this week?.Execute: What is the specific result you are looking for by Friday at 6:00 a.m.?.Call to Action Community & Accountability: To stay connected and receive text updates throughout the month, text the words "text me" to 719-509105.Direct Outreach: For speaking engagements, feedback on how the podcast is impacting your life, or to "do life" together, please email Paul Ybarra at coachpaulybarra@lifecoachpaul.com.Support the Show: If you found value in this episode, please leave a review, drop a comment, and share this with other business owners looking to scale for the Kingdom.Closing Thought "Confidence in Christ is everything that we need". S. 2 E. 9 The Power of Reconnection: Granting God Access to Your Account

Welcome to another episode of Built for Confidence, the podcast where I help kingdom builders like you rebuild your identity, sharpen your clarity, and lead with conviction. In this episode, I want to share a revelation I received about the importance of heading back to the source. For two months, I struggled with email issues because I was looking for external results for an internal problem. Once I went to the actual source of the service, everything was resolved almost instantly. Key Takeaways from This Episode: Granting Permission: Just as a technician requires permission to access an account to find a disconnection, God asks for access to everything inside of you to identify where you have been disconnected from Him.Internal vs. External: We often reach for external results in our businesses or ministries when we actually need to return to the source for the internal solutions we require.God is Your Source: I want you to know confidently that God has everything mapped out, and He is simply waiting for you to come to Him with your questions. The Power of Reconnection: When you are reconnected to the source, you can finally receive the information and fluid movement you have been missing.Connect With Me: I am passionate about helping business owners grow, scale, and expand for the Kingdom of God. On this April 8th, we are diving deep into Proverbs 8 to discuss the Excellence of Wisdom. To me, wisdom isn't just something you get from a textbook; it’s what we learn when we’re on a mission, making mistakes, and choosing to return to the Lord and his Word. In this episode, I explore: The Foundation of Wisdom: How wisdom was present before the foundations of the world were even created—it is a core principle of God’s design. The Power of Consistency: Why wisdom is found in "watching daily" at the gates and staying disciplined in our focus.Finding "Life" in the Daily Grind: Wisdom isn't just for the big moments; it’s for your day-to-day routines, your business, your marriage, and your connections. Whoever finds wisdom finds life and obtains favor from the Lord.Scriptures Mentioned: Proverbs 8:32-36: "For whoever finds me finds life and attains favor from the Lord".Luke 11:28: "Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it".Join the Conversation: I want to know: What is that one area of your life where you need "life" poured in today?
