    87 - Why do you pray?

    In this episode of One Gospel, Johan Toet asks an important question: Why do you pray? Prayer can look spiritual on the outside while coming from the wrong motivation on the inside. Through James 4, Matthew 6 and 1 John 5, Johan examines several ways prayer can lose its true purpose. We can pray for selfish reasons. We can pray while doubting God. We can repeat words without really meaning them. We can pray out of religious obligation. And we can even pray because we want other people to notice us. But prayer was never meant to be a performance. Johan shares how he once believed that God’s blessing depended on whether he prayed enough, read his Bible enough, went to church and did everything expected of him. That mindset turned relationship into legalism. God does not relate to us based on what we can do for Him. He relates to us through what Jesus has done for us.     86 - Pray in Confidence, here's how

    In this episode of One Gospel, Johan Toet continues exploring what it means to pray from the heart and according to the will of God. Sometimes we approach God already convinced that we know exactly what we need. But God sees beyond our immediate circumstances. Through the story of the lame man in Acts 3, Johan explains the difference between what we want and what we truly need.     85 - Praying in Spirit and Truth

    82 - Why Saying “I Forgive You” Isn’t Enough
