    The Harvest Was Sitting in the Welfare Office

    Sometimes the mission field does not look like a pulpit, a platform, or a church service. Sometimes it looks like a welfare office, an ordinary conversation, and a woman sitting in a wheelchair who needs to know that Jesus sees her.     For The Sake Of Ten

    FOR THE SAKE OF TEN What happens when judgment is approaching, but an intercessor refuses to remain silent? In Genesis 18, Abraham stands before God and does something remarkable. He begins to plead for a city drowning in wickedness. Fifty righteous. Forty-five. Forty. Thirty. Twenty. Finally, ten. And every time Abraham asks, God reveals His willingness to spare the many for the sake of the few. This episode of The Towel & Basin Society explores the weight of intercession, the responsibility of the righteous, and what it means to stand in the gap for people and places that may never know somebody was praying for them. Abraham wasn’t negotiating because he approved of Sodom. He was interceding because he understood something about the heart and character of God. There are moments when God doesn’t call His people to run from the darkness. He calls somebody to stand before Him and pray. Your family may need an intercessor. Your neighborhood may need an intercessor. Your city may need an intercessor. Your generation may need somebody willing to stay before God and say, “Lord, remember mercy.” The question isn’t only, How wicked has the world become? The question is: Where are the ones willing to stand in the gap? “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.” This is a call back to the altar. A call to intercession. A call to understand that your prayers may be carrying more weight than you realize.

    Jesus Is For Us
