Resilience Redefined with Michael D. Ostrolenk
What does it take not merely to survive, adapt, or perform, but to truly flourish? Resilience Redefined explores human flourishing as a whole system endeavor. Hosted by Michael D. Ostrolenk, MA, MFT, creator of the Human Flourishing Architecture, the podcast brings together leading thinkers, practitioners, innovators, warriors, healers, leaders, and change makers to explore the conditions that allow individuals, relationships, teams, organizations, institutions, and communities to thrive. Conversations move across four interconnected domains: Physiology Health, sleep, movement, nutrition, longevity, nervous system regulation, and physical capacity. Psychology Resilience, consciousness, character, emotional development, meaning, spirituality, and personal transformation. Relationships Intimacy, communication, leadership, masculinity and femininity, family, community, and belonging. Environment The physical, cultural, technological, organizational, institutional, and natural systems that shape human behavior and well being. But human flourishing does not occur in isolation. The institutions and systems we build profoundly influence how people live, develop, relate, work, lead, and contribute. Resilience Redefined therefore examines flourishing at multiple levels, from the individual and relational to the organizational, institutional, and societal. Conversations explore leadership, organizational culture, institutional health, systems thinking, and meaningful reform across areas such as healthcare, education, business, technology, public service, law enforcement, national security, intelligence, and the military. The podcast asks not only how individuals become more resilient, but how organizations and institutions become more adaptive, humane, effective, and capable of fulfilling the missions they were created to serve. Drawing on more than three decades of work in human development, Michael approaches resilience not simply as the ability to bounce back from adversity, but as the capacity to adapt, develop, and flourish across the whole human system. Each episode ultimately returns to a larger question: How do we deliberately create the conditions in which people, relationships, organizations, institutions, and communities can flourish? Welcome to Resilience Redefined.
