    Rock Scree Drownt

Send us Fan Mail A fusion of the enormity of the voices of nature with the intimacy of radio drama.  Marcail sees the Half-Way Rock as nothing more than a resting place on the Scottish coast until the sounds of the waves, wind and rain one day appear to her as voices, calls for help, final words long lost among the depths. But why her, why now? An answer comes only when she finds herself precariously perched thousands of feet above an abyss on the Half-Way Rock’s mirror-image on the other side of the North Sea: the Kjeragbolten.  This time, the phantom words come from the Draugr – spirits of those lost at sea, human forms with heads of seaweed, and suddenly the voices make sense.  A radiophonic deep dive into a previously unheard world - inspired by real events in the shade of the Half-Way Rock - which intertwines voices, sounds and music to create a mesmerising narrative.  Featuring Sheila Reid (Inside No.9, Benidorm), Kiran Sonia Sawar (Black Mirror, Slow Horses), Amina Ben Ismail (Take My Breath - Oscar Nomination 2025) and full international cast, with Helen Jessica Liggat as your narrator. Music composed by Tyler Lewis with Chris Geddes (Belle and Sebastian). Written and directed by Neil Cargill. www.rock-scree-drownt.com..... rock.scree.drownt@gmail.com..... www.radiophonica.uk..... www.neilcargill.jimdofree.com
