The Healing Parts of Life

Karly Grieve

Welcome to The Healing Parts of Life podcast, where we explore what it truly means to do the inner work and step into the version of yourself that aligns with your soul’s path. Through personal stories and inspiring conversations with like-minded women, this podcast is here to educate, empower, and motivate you to take action on your own healing journey. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, yet we all wonder how we can create lasting transformation in our lives. That’s exactly what we’ll dive into—what the healing process really looks like as you move toward becoming the person you’ve always been at your soul’s core. Along the way, you may encounter moments that trigger you or spark something within you. These reactions are simply bringing awareness to parts of yourself that need attention. Every person and situation you’re drawn to is a reflection of something within you. So, sit back, relax, and pay attention to what comes up as you listen. I encourage you to take notes on your thoughts and feelings, allowing them to guide you toward greater self-awareness. Let’s get started!

    4 min affirmations

For this episode, I wanted to provide you guys (and myself) a way to listen to some of my favorite affirmations. These, for the most part, all came from my coach, Kat Cozadd, who actually gave me the idea to record these. I used to think that saying affirmations was stupid and there really wasn't a point because your brain has a BS detector called your reticular activating system. That is a literal part of the brain that filters the conscious mind, so when you say things you don't really believe, that part of your brain starts to fire. So, how do affirmations work then?  Your conscious brain only contributes around 5 to 10% to your survival. That means that 90 to 95% of what we eat, sleep, breathe, think, act, etc., is all without our conscious awareness. So what does that have to do with affirmations?  Well, that's why listening to affirmations even when you are not paying attention allows your subconscious mind to absorb these new beliefs. It is basically tricking yourself into thinking what you want to think instead of thinking old thoughts over and over again, which is a big part of being able to make sustainable changes in your day-to-day life.  Real change that sticks has to form new pathways for the brain to follow, or you will continue to go back to what you were programmed to do. This is why I recorded these. Because listening to them makes me feel empowered, and I know I want these as new core beliefs. I hope when you listen to these, you also feel a sense of knowing that you are meant for more. I highly recommend putting these on repeat!     IG & TT @karlyrosegrieve Website: karlyrosellc.com
