Episode #56: REGENERATION AND TRANSFORMATION, Becoming What God Has Made Us, Romans 12:1–2; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Colossians 3:1–10

Foundational Scriptures: Romans 12:1–2; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Colossians 3:1–10 If you have been born again, why do old habits, fears, and patterns of thinking still need to change? Does struggling in an area of your life mean you were never truly regenerated? And what is the difference between receiving new spiritual life and learning to live from it? In Episode 56 of They Call Her Mother: Faith, Family & Legacy, Minister Aisha Amenra continues Lesson 4 of The Amenra Kingdom Institute's series, Regeneration: Born From Above—Living the New Life of the Kingdom. The central truth is clear: regeneration is decisive; transformation is progressive. God does not repeatedly give us the new birth. He gives spiritual life through Christ, and then the Holy Spirit continues shaping how we think, choose, speak, relate, and live. Drawing from Romans 12, Mother explains why Paul tells people who already belong to Christ to be transformed by the renewing of their minds. New birth establishes our identity, but our thinking may still carry old habits, cultural assumptions, wounds, fears, and learned responses. God's Word begins retraining the mind to agree with the new life we have received. Second Corinthians 3:18 reveals the direction of that change: becoming increasingly like Christ. And Colossians 3 teaches us to put off old practices and live according to the new identity God has already given us. We do not obey to earn regeneration. We learn obedience because God has made us alive. IN THIS EPISODE: - Why regeneration and transformation are connected but not identical. - How a believer can be a new creation while still needing renewed thinking. - The distinctions between regeneration, renewal, sanctification, and transformation. - Why Christ—not another believer—is the pattern for spiritual maturity. - How the Holy Spirit works through Scripture, prayer, obedience, fellowship, and correction. - Why spiritual struggle does not automatically mean the new birth never happened. - Why grace is neither a reason for condemnation nor an excuse to remain unchanged. - How transformed Kingdom citizens increasingly represent the character of their King. Mother invites us to examine the evidence of transformation in ordinary life. Are we speaking differently? Forgiving more readily? Responding to offense with greater wisdom? Reconsidering how we handle money, relationships, purpose, and authority? Sometimes change is dramatic. Sometimes it is as quiet as recognizing pride, offering an apology, or refusing an old reaction. The distinction between conviction and condemnation matters. Conviction exposes what must come into agreement with our identity in Christ; condemnation insists we can never change. God's grace calls us to confess, repent, receive correction, and keep growing. Remember: Regeneration gives life. Renewal reshapes thinking. Sanctification brings conduct into agreement with our identity. Transformation makes the life of Christ increasingly visible. We are not working toward the new birth. We are learning to live from the life God has already given us. EPISODE #55: REGENERATION LESSON 3, The Holy Spirit and the New Birth: Who Performs the Work of Regeneration? John 3:5–8; Titus 3:4–7

Who Performs the Work of Regeneration? Who actually causes a person to be born again? Can preaching, church membership, baptism, family heritage, good works, or human determination produce spiritual life? And what happens after the miracle of new birth? In Episode 55 of They Call Her Mother: Faith, Family & Legacy, Minister Aisha Amenra continues The Amenra Kingdom Institute’s six-part series, Regeneration: Born From Above—Living the New Life of the Kingdom, with a foundational truth: the new birth is the supernatural work of God the Holy Spirit. In John 3, Jesus tells Nicodemus that what is born of flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. We can teach Scripture, share the Gospel, pray, and disciple others—but no human being can create spiritual life within another person. Only the Holy Spirit gives life where there was spiritual death. Drawing from Titus 3 and Ezekiel 36, Mother explains that regeneration is rooted in God's mercy, not human achievement. The Holy Spirit applies God's cleansing and renewing work to the inner person, giving a new heart and bringing believers into living union with Christ. Salvation is the work of the Triune God: the Father purposes salvation, the Son accomplishes redemption, and the Spirit applies that saving work. Jesus compares the Spirit's work to the wind. We cannot see the wind itself, but we recognize its effects. In the same way, regeneration is not something we can photograph, yet its evidence begins to emerge: new desires, conviction, love for Christ, hunger for truth, repentance, and growing obedience. Not instant perfection—but genuine evidence of life. In this episode: - Why only the Holy Spirit can produce the new birth. - Why religious effort and spiritual disciplines cannot manufacture regeneration. - What the washing of regeneration and the promised new heart mean. - How the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit work together in salvation. - What Jesus' illustration of the wind teaches about invisible spiritual life. - Why regeneration is immediate while spiritual maturity develops progressively. - How the Holy Spirit continues to teach, guide, convict, and form Christlike character. - Why faithful witness must never become pressure or spiritual control. In A Mother's Memory, “Life First—Then Growth,” Mother reflects on giving birth to and raising ten children. Each child was fully alive before learning to walk, speak, or understand family rules. Life came first; growth followed. She also shares a vital lesson for families: parents and grandparents can teach, pray, love, and model the Gospel, but they cannot cause regeneration in another person. Every generation must personally know Jesus Christ. We remain faithful witnesses while trusting the Holy Spirit to do what only He can do. Ask yourself: Am I confusing religious activity with spiritual life? Is the Spirit's work becoming visible in my character? Am I trying to accomplish through pressure what belongs to God alone? Remember: We cannot manufacture, inherit, or perform regeneration. New life comes from God through the Holy Spirit because of the saving work of Jesus Christ. Next in Episode 56: Regeneration and Transformation — Becoming What God Has Made Us, we will explore what God accomplishes decisively in the new birth and what He develops progressively through renewal, sanctification, and transformation. EPISODE #54: REGENERATION LESSON 2, From Death to Life: What Actually Happens When We Are Regenerated? Ephesians 2:1–10

What Actually Happens When We Are Regenerated? What actually happens when a person is born again? What does Scripture mean when it says we were spiritually dead but have been made alive with Christ? And if regeneration gives us new life, why do believers still need renewal, sanctification, transformation, and spiritual growth? In Episode 54 of They Call Her Mother: Faith, Family & Legacy, Minister Aisha Amenra continues the six-part series presented through The Amenra Kingdom Institute: Regeneration — Born From Above: Living the New Life of the Kingdom. Building on “You Must Be Born Again,” Mother takes us deeper into the miracle of regeneration. Spiritual death is not physical death or the inability to think, love, create, achieve, or make moral decisions. It describes humanity’s alienation from the life of God because of sin. If our deepest problem were ignorance, education could save us. If it were poor habits, discipline could save us. But Scripture says humanity apart from Christ is spiritually dead. We do not merely need improvement. We need life. Ephesians 2 gives us the turning point: “But God.” Acting from His mercy, God makes alive those who were spiritually dead. Regeneration is not religious polishing or self-improvement—it is God imparting new life through Christ. This new life brings decisive change. God gives a new heart and a new spiritual condition. Our relationship with Him changes. Our identity and allegiance change. We belong to Christ and are transferred into the Kingdom of His Son. Yet the episode makes an essential distinction: new life is immediate, but spiritual maturity is progressive. Regeneration is decisive; transformation develops over time. In this episode: • What spiritual death and being made alive with Christ mean. • Why regeneration is an act of God’s mercy, not human achievement. • The new heart promised in Ezekiel and the meaning of “new creation.” • What changes immediately when we are regenerated—and what may not. • How regeneration changes our identity, allegiance, and Kingdom citizenship. • The difference between regeneration, renewal, sanctification, transformation, and maturity. • Why giftedness, knowledge, visibility, or influence do not equal spiritual maturity. • Why discipleship teaches Kingdom citizens to live from the new life they have received. In A Mother’s Memory, Mother reflects on raising ten children and the truth that life and maturity are not the same thing. Every child entered the world fully alive, but each still needed instruction, correction, encouragement, structure, and guidance—and each matured differently. Spiritually, new birth is real, but believers still need the Word, prayer, fellowship, obedience, discernment, and the continuing work of the Holy Spirit. Her prayer is not merely that we begin with Christ, but that we continue with Him, grow in Him, mature in Him, and finish faithfully. This truth also shapes family legacy. Parents can pass down names, culture, stories, traditions, and opportunities, but regeneration cannot be inherited. We can teach, pray, model the Gospel, and create homes where Christ is honored, but every generation must personally know the King. Remember: New life is immediate. Spiritual maturity is progressive. Regeneration begins the life. Transformation develops the life. Discipleship teaches us how to live as citizens of the Kingdom we have entered. EPISODE #53: REGENERATION LESSON 1, You Must Be Born Again: Why Kingdom Citizenship Begins With a New Birth John 3:1–8

Why Kingdom Citizenship Begins With a New Birth What did Jesus really mean when He said, “Ye must be born again”? Is Christianity simply becoming more religious, improving our behavior, attending church, or learning to live by better principles? Or was Jesus describing something only God can accomplish? In Episode 53 of They Call Her Mother: Faith, Family & Legacy, Minister Aisha Amenra begins a brand-new six-part teaching series presented through The Amenra Kingdom Institute: Regeneration — Born From Above: Living the New Life of the Kingdom. The series begins with Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus in John 3 and one of the most foundational truths of the Christian faith: Kingdom citizenship begins with new life from above. Nicodemus was educated, disciplined, respected, religious, and knowledgeable in Scripture. Yet Jesus did not tell him that he needed more religion. He told him, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” His religious heritage and knowledge could not produce spiritual life. Life had to come from God. Mother explains that regeneration is not behavior modification, self-reformation, or God simply improving the old life. Regeneration is the gracious act of God by which spiritual life is imparted to someone who was spiritually dead, bringing that person into new life in Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit. But this episode also establishes a crucial distinction that will govern the entire series: birth is the beginning; birth is not maturity. Regeneration gives genuine new life, but the Christian journey continues through renewal, sanctification, transformation, obedience, and spiritual maturation. New life is immediate; learning to live that new life is lifelong. In this episode: - What Jesus meant by being “born again” and “born from above.” - Why religion, morality, education, heritage, and discipline cannot produce spiritual life. - Why Nicodemus is such an important example of the difference between religion and regeneration. - How regeneration is God's gracious work rather than human self-improvement. - Why Kingdom citizenship cannot be inherited from parents or grandparents. - The difference between regeneration, renewal, sanctification, transformation, and maturation. - Why genuine new birth does not mean instant spiritual maturity. - How the regenerated believer comes under a new King, allegiance, direction, and authority. - Why Kingdom principles can never replace the Gospel. - What growing evidence of new spiritual life looks like. In A Mother’s Memory: “Birth Was Only the Beginning,” Mother draws from raising ten children to illustrate a profound spiritual reality. Birth is miraculous, but no mother expects a newborn to remain a newborn. New life must be nurtured, taught, protected, corrected, and guided toward maturity. In the same way, conversion must lead into discipleship and continuing growth in Christ. The governing progression for this new series is: New Birth → New Mind → New Character → New Responses → Kingdom Legacy And the foundation beneath it all remains clear: Regeneration imparts the new life. Transformation develops that life into Christlike maturity. Next, in Episode 54: From Death to Life — What Actually Happens When We Are Regenerated?, we go deeper into spiritual death and spiritual life, the new heart promised in Ezekiel, the new creation described by Paul, and what changes immediately versus what develops progressively after regeneration. Episode #52: Faithful Stewards of the King’s Gifts Part 2, Living a Spirit-Empowered Kingdom Life Lesson 12

Living a Spirit-Empowered Kingdom Life Can a person be spiritually gifted and still be immature? What happens when the power of the Holy Spirit is evident through us, but the character of Christ is not yet evident within us? And ultimately, who receives the glory for what God accomplishes through our lives? In Episode 52, Part 2 of They Call Her Mother: Faith, Family & Legacy, presented through The Amenra Kingdom Institute, Minister Aisha Amenra brings The Holy Spirit: The Governor of Heaven’s Kingdom series to its conclusion with a call to move beyond simply possessing spiritual gifts toward Christlike character, faithful stewardship, and a life that glorifies Jesus Christ. Part 1 established that spiritual gifts are a stewardship, not a possession. Now Mother turns to the person carrying the gift. Giftedness is not the same as maturity. The Holy Spirit who works through believers by His gifts is also working within believers, producing His fruit and transforming them into the likeness of Christ. The Gifts of the Spirit reveal divine enablement; the Fruit of the Spirit reveals divine transformation. Gifts equip us for service, while fruit develops the character necessary to steward that service faithfully. Love guards against self-centeredness. Gentleness governs how we handle people. Faithfulness makes us dependable. Meekness keeps authority under control. Self-control reminds us that spiritual empowerment never gives us permission to live without discipline. This episode also confronts a sobering reality: spiritual activity alone is not proof of spiritual maturity. The question is not merely, “What can God do through me?” but also, “Who am I becoming as I walk with Him?” Then the teaching reaches its final Kingdom truth: the highest purpose of every gift is to glorify Jesus Christ. Spiritual gifts were never given to create spiritual celebrities or elevate the servant. The vessel may be ordinary, but the treasure belongs to God. Every opportunity, assignment, act of service, and manifestation of the Spirit must ultimately point beyond us to the King. In this episode: Why character must always govern giftedness. The difference between the Gifts and the Fruit of the Spirit. Why spiritual effectiveness alone does not prove spiritual maturity. How the Fruit of the Spirit protects the integrity of the gifted vessel. Why greater influence requires greater humility and self-control. How Jesus perfectly united power, truth, compassion, holiness, and humility. Why Kingdom ministry must flow from relationship with Christ. How recognition can quietly compete with obedience. Why every spiritual gift must ultimately glorify Jesus Christ. How to build a Kingdom legacy that points the next generation toward Christ. In A Mother’s Memory: “What I Pray My Children Remember,” Mother reflects on the legacy she desires to leave her children and grandchildren. More than her books, podcast episodes, ministry assignments, or accomplishments, she prays they remember Jesus Christ—His faithfulness, His Word, His grace, His Kingdom, and the God who carried her. True legacy is not about preserving our reputation; it is about preserving the testimony of Jesus Christ from one generation to the next. As this twelve-part journey concludes, remember: The gift belongs to the King. The steward must reflect the character of the King. And the glory must always return to the King. Know the Holy Spirit. Walk with Him. Yield to Him. Serve through His power. Allow Him to form the character of Christ within you. And in everything—glorify Jesus Christ. Episode #52: Faithful Stewards of the King’s Gifts Part 1, Living a Spirit-Empowered Kingdom Life Lesson 12

Living a Spirit-Empowered Kingdom Life What does God expect us to do with the gifts, opportunities, influence, and assignments He has placed in our hands? And how do we remain faithful when our service is hidden, unnoticed, or different from someone else’s? In Episode 52, Part 1 of They Call Her Mother: Faith, Family & Legacy, presented through The Amenra Kingdom Institute, Minister Aisha Amenra begins the two-part conclusion of The Holy Spirit: The Governor of Heaven’s Kingdom with Faithful Stewards of the King’s Gifts — Living a Spirit-Empowered Kingdom Life. After studying who the Holy Spirit is, how He works within believers, and how the nine Gifts of the Spirit function together, we arrive at a crucial Kingdom question: Now that God has entrusted His gifts to us, what does He expect us to do with them? Mother introduces a foundational biblical principle: spiritual gifts are a stewardship, not a possession. God is the Owner. We are His stewards. Our lives, abilities, opportunities, influence, resources, and spiritual gifts ultimately belong to the King and have been entrusted to us for His purposes. Drawing from 1 Peter 4, 1 Corinthians 4, and Jesus’ Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25, this episode challenges the world’s definition of success. Heaven does not measure faithfulness by popularity, applause, platform size, or visibility. The Kingdom asks a different question: Have you been faithful with what the King entrusted to you? The Parable of the Talents also reveals why comparison has no place in Kingdom stewardship. One servant received five talents, another two, and another one. Their assignments differed, but their responsibility remained the same: faithfully manage what the master had entrusted to them. Equality of value does not require equality of assignment. Mother also warns against burying what God has given us. Fear of failure, comparison, criticism, disappointment, or believing our contribution is insignificant can cause us to neglect our assignment. Yet stewardship requires more than avoiding misuse—it requires faithful cultivation and service. The gift comes from God, but the steward remains responsible to develop and use what has been received through prayer, study, discipline, accountability, wisdom, humility, and faithful practice. In this episode: Why spiritual gifts are sacred trusts rather than personal possessions. What biblical stewardship teaches us about ownership and responsibility. Why faithfulness matters more than visibility, popularity, or applause. What the Parable of the Talents teaches about different Kingdom assignments. Why God evaluates faithfulness rather than comparison. How fear, discouragement, and insecurity can cause us to bury what God entrusted. Why receiving a gift does not remove our responsibility to cultivate it. How stewardship extends beyond money to time, influence, relationships, knowledge, opportunities, and spiritual gifts. Why greater responsibility requires greater humility and dependence upon God. How faithful stewardship brings responsibility without pride and service without competition. This week, ask the Lord three questions: What have You entrusted to me? Am I faithfully using what You entrusted to me? And what would greater faithfulness look like in this season of my life? Remember: The King determines the gift. The King determines the assignment. The steward determines whether he or she will be faithful. In Part 2, we examine the final two Kingdom truths: Character Must Always Govern Giftedness, and The Highest Purpose of Every Gift Is to Glorify Jesus Christ. Follow, share, subscribe, and repost as we learn to faithfully steward what Heaven has placed in our hands. #TheAmenraKingdomInstitute #TheyCallHerMother #FaithfulStewardship #GiftsOfTheHolySpirit #HolySpirit #KingdomLiving #SpiritualGifts #Faithfulness #KingdomService #MinisterAishaAmenra

Episode # 51: One Spirit, One Body — part 2 Lesson 11, How Do All Nine Gifts Work Together to Build the Church?

How Do All Nine Gifts Work Together to Build the Church? Can a believer be spiritually gifted and still be spiritually immature? And what kind of people must we become if the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are going to operate through us in a way that accurately represents Jesus Christ? In Episode 51, Part 2 of They Call Her Mother: Faith, Family & Legacy, presented through The Amenra Kingdom Institute, Minister Aisha Amenra continues One Spirit, One Body — How Do All Nine Gifts Work Together to Build the Church? Part 1 brought the nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit together as one divine design: the Revelation Gifts reveal, the Power Gifts demonstrate, and the Inspiration Gifts communicate. In Part 2, Mother takes us deeper—from giftedness to maturity, from manifestation to formation, and from what the Holy Spirit does through us to what He desires to develop within us. The church at Corinth provides a sobering lesson. They possessed spiritual gifts, yet still struggled with pride, jealousy, division, disorder, and immaturity. Their example reminds us that the operation of a spiritual gift is not, by itself, proof of spiritual maturity. God desires more than a gifted Church. He desires a Church where power and holiness, gifts and fruit, truth and love, authority and humility operate together. Mother explores the vital relationship between the Gifts of the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12 and the Fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5. The gifts reveal how the Holy Spirit ministers through us; the fruit reveals how He transforms us. Gifts are given. Fruit is cultivated. Kingdom maturity requires both. At the center of this teaching is love. Without love, tongues become noise, knowledge can become pride, power can become self-promotion, correction can become cruelty, and authority can become domination. Love does not replace spiritual gifts—it governs them, ensuring that what God does through us reflects the character of Christ. Through A Mother's Memory: Every Child Had a Place, Minister Aisha reflects on raising ten children and discovering that no two were alike. Each had different personalities, strengths, challenges, and ways of learning—yet every child belonged and every child had value. Mother connects that experience to the Body of Christ: equality of value does not require sameness of function. We do not need to imitate or compete with another believer's calling; we need to faithfully steward our own. In this episode: Why giftedness does not automatically equal spiritual maturity. The difference between spiritual manifestation and spiritual maturation. How the Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit work together. Why love must govern every spiritual gift. How Christlike character protects the integrity of spiritual influence. Why comparison produces pride, insecurity, and division. How Jesus perfectly united power, truth, compassion, authority, and love. Why every believer has a valuable place within the Body of Christ. What raising ten unique children taught Mother about unity without sameness. How to celebrate another believer's gift instead of competing with it. Remember: One Spirit. Many gifts. One Body. Love governing all. Christ receiving the glory. Next time, we conclude this twelve-part journey with Faithful Stewards of the King's Gifts: Living a Spirit-Empowered Kingdom Life, moving from understanding the gifts to accepting responsibility for faithfully stewarding what God has entrusted to us. Episode # 51: One Spirit, One Body — part 2 Lesson 11, How Do All Nine Gifts Work Together to Build the Church?
  8. Aug 29

Episode #51 — One Spirit, One Body, Part 1 Lesson 11, How Do All Nine Gifts Work Together to Build the Church?

Episode 51 — One Spirit, One Body, How Do All Nine Gifts Work Together to Build the Church? Why did God give nine different Gifts of the Holy Spirit? Were they intended to distinguish one believer from another—or were they designed to work together for something far greater? In Episode 51 of They Call Her Mother: Faith, Family & Legacy, presented through The Amenra Kingdom Institute, Minister Aisha Amenra brings together our study of The Holy Spirit: The Governor of Heaven’s Kingdom with One Spirit, One Body — How Do All Nine Gifts Work Together to Build the Church? After exploring the Revelation Gifts, Power Gifts, and Inspiration Gifts individually, we now step back to see God’s unified design. The nine gifts were never intended to operate independently, create competition, elevate personalities, or become measures of spiritual importance. They originate from one Holy Spirit and are given for the common good of the Body of Christ. Mother establishes three foundational Kingdom truths: every gift is given by the same Holy Spirit; every gift has a different function but the same Kingdom purpose; and love is the atmosphere in which every spiritual gift must operate. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 12, we discover why diversity within the Church is not a weakness but part of God’s design. Just as the human body depends upon different members performing different functions, the Body of Christ becomes healthy when believers faithfully steward what God has entrusted to them. We are not called to compete with one another—we are called to complete one another. The episode also brings the three categories into one beautiful picture. The Revelation Gifts reveal what God knows. The Power Gifts demonstrate what God can do. The Inspiration Gifts communicate what God desires His people to hear. Together, God reveals, acts, and speaks through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. But giftedness alone is not spiritual maturity. First Corinthians 13 stands between Paul’s teaching on the gifts in chapters 12 and 14 for a reason: love must govern the gifts. Knowledge without love can produce pride. Power without love can become control. Correction without love becomes harshness. But when love governs spiritual gifts, they become instruments of healing, encouragement, restoration, service, and unity. This episode challenges us to ask: Am I faithfully using what God has entrusted to me? Do I celebrate the gifts of others or compare myself with them? Am I pursuing visibility or faithful service? And does the way I use my gifts reflect the character and love of Jesus Christ? In this episode: Why all nine gifts originate from the same Holy Spirit. How diversity of gifts strengthens rather than divides the Body of Christ. Why no believer possesses everything the Church needs. How the Revelation, Power, and Inspiration Gifts work together. Why every gift exists for the common good and Kingdom service. Why visibility does not determine the value of a believer’s contribution. How spiritual gifts equip the Church for its mission in the world. Why 1 Corinthians 13 belongs at the heart of teaching about spiritual gifts. How love transforms giftedness into genuine ministry. Why spiritual maturity must reflect the character of Christ. Remember: the gifts may differ, but the Spirit is one. The functions may differ, but the purpose is one—to strengthen the Body, glorify Jesus Christ, and advance the Kingdom of God. Follow, share, subscribe, and repost as we continue learning how to live as Spirit-filled Kingdom citizens whose gifts, character, and service point others to Jesus Christ. #TheAmenraKingdomInstitute #TheyCallHerMother #OneSpiritOneBody #GiftsOfTheHolySpirit #HolySpirit #BodyOfChrist #SpiritualGifts #KingdomLiving #ChristianPodcast #MinisterAishaAmenra
