    🔥Faith Through the Fire | What Are You Leaving Behind?

    As Faith Through the Fire begins to come to a close, God took this episode somewhere I wasn’t expecting. I started in 2 Kings 13:21, with a dead man coming back to life after touching Elisha’s bones. A powerful picture of a life that still carried impact even after it was over. But then I started noticing something else throughout Kings: “His mother’s name was…” Again and again, as kings are introduced, Scripture tells us who their mothers were. And that made me stop. Because that holds weight. ❤️‍🔥 Before the crown, before the leadership, before the decisions that would impact an entire generation… there was influence. This episode is about legacy! The kind we leave as mothers, spiritual mothers, mentors, ministry leaders, and people God has trusted to pour into someone else.     🔥 Faith Through the Fire | Open My Eyes 2 Kings 6:8–23 What if God is protecting you in ways you can’t even see yet? In this episode of Healing in His Hands, we’re continuing our Faith Through the Fire series in 2 Kings 6:8–23, and this passage spoke SO deeply to the season I’m in. We talk about how Elisha knew what was being spoken behind closed doors, reminding us of a powerful truth: God sees it ALL. God hears it ALL. And nothing is hidden from Him. 🙌🏽 I break down what this has looked like in my own life.. from Nick’s situation, to watching God bless Maliyah with discernment, to recognizing relationships and people He’s asking me to release. There are things I didn’t understand before that God has slowly opened my eyes to see. Then we get to the words that stopped me in my tracks: “Don’t be afraid… For there are more on our side than on theirs!” — 2 Kings 6:16 WHEW. 🔥 Sometimes all we can see is what’s surrounding us.. the grief, the opposition, the uncertainty, the betrayal, the fear. But Elisha saw something his servant couldn’t see yet: the protection of God was already there. And I’m learning the same thing. No matter what it looks like, no matter what we’re walking through, and no matter what appears to be against us, God has us covered. Sometimes we just need Him to open our eyes so we can see that He’s been there the entire time. The way God has opened my eyes in this season has been beautiful to witness.     Have you ever struggled because God’s answer seemed too simple? This week in Faith Through the Fire, we’re reading 2 Kings 5 and reflecting on the story of Naaman. A mighty warrior who almost missed his miracle because God’s instructions didn’t match his expectations. Healing came when Naaman chose humility over pride and obedience over understanding. If you’ve been waiting for God to move, this episode is a reminder that His ways may not always make sense, but they are always good. Sometimes the greatest miracles begin with the simplest act of faith. Scripture: 2 Kings 5 Theme: Trust God’s way, even when it seems too simple.

    😪Don’t Get My Hopes Up..

    🔥 Faith Through the Fire continues | 2 Kings 4:8–37 This episode was an emotional one. As I read the story of the Shunammite woman, one line stopped me in my tracks: “Did I ask you for a son, my Lord? And didn’t I say, ‘Don’t deceive me and get my hopes up’?” Because I know what it feels like to have hoped for a life that didn’t unfold the way I prayed it would. I wanted my family back together. I wanted to watch Nick continue being a father to our children. I wanted my sister to live the life she deeply desired. To heal, flourish, and become everything I knew she could be. And then I experienced loss. Reading this woman’s grief, I could feel the weight behind her words. Sometimes faith through the fire doesn’t look like having all the right words. Sometimes it looks like carrying your heartbreak straight to God and refusing to let go of Him, even when you don’t understand what He allowed. This is a deep one. A raw one. And probably one of the most emotional episodes I’ve recorded.     The Oil Keeps Flowing

    🔥 Faith Through the Fire Series: The Oil Keeps Flowing | 2 Kings 4:1–7 In this episode of Healing in His Hands, we continue the Faith Through the Fire series with 2 Kings 4:1–7—the story of the widow, the empty jars, and the oil that kept flowing. As I reflected on this passage, I realized that God has been sending empty jars my way.. people He has called me to love, encourage, lead, and pour into. And somehow, even on the days when I feel like I have nothing left to give, God reminds me that the source was never just me. Just as the oil continued to flow as long as there were vessels to receive it, God continues to give me what I need to pour into others. On the days I feel depleted, He replenishes me. When I think I’ve reached the bottom of my jar, He reminds me that His supply is greater than my limitations. My jar continues to run over, not because I never get tired, but because I keep returning to the One who fills me. If you’ve ever wondered how you can keep pouring when you feel empty yourself, this episode is for you. Sometimes our lives can look beautiful on the outside while we’re quietly carrying pain on the inside. For me, that “town” has been grief. Living in the beauty of Humboldt County doesn’t erase the ache of losing someone I love. Yet God continues to meet me in the middle of it. In this episode, we explore how God doesn’t just call us to survive the bitter places, He heals them. Whatever your “town” looks like today—grief, anxiety, fear, disappointment, or loneliness—Jesus is still in the business of making bitter waters pure.     Have you ever experienced a mountaintop moment with God… only to find yourself discouraged shortly afterward? In this episode, we’re walking through 1 Kings 18:20–39 and 1 Kings 19:1–8, where Elijah goes from witnessing one of God’s greatest miracles to running in fear and exhaustion. How quickly we can forget who God is when disappointment, fear, or discouragement comes our way. Yet even in Elijah’s weakest moment, God didn’t abandon him. He met him with compassion, provision, and reminded him that his story wasn’t over. If you’ve been struggling to remember God’s faithfulness in the middle of your circumstances, I pray this episode encourages you as much as studying it has encouraged me. This is the beginning of a new series as we journey through the lives of Elijah and Elisha and discover what they teach us about trusting God through every season.
