From Pain to Purpose: Healing, Resilience & New Beginnings | Victoria Brantley

What happens when your greatest pain becomes part of your greatest purpose? In this powerful episode of the Simpli’ Sisters Podcast, Coach Gayl Benson and Simpli’ Tammy sit down with Victoria Brantley, community advocate, mentor, author, and CEO of Healing, Enrich & Royalty (HER). Victoria shares an honest and deeply personal conversation about loss, healing, faith, resilience, purpose, service, and new beginnings. After losing her mother, sister, and father within a 10-year span, Victoria found herself navigating profound grief while learning how to heal and continue moving forward. Those experiences ultimately became part of the foundation for the work she does today. Victoria's work is centered around serving others. She works with women transitioning from incarceration, helping connect them with resources, employment skills, case management, accountability, and support as they rebuild their lives. She also works with children and families and has created mentoring opportunities designed to help young girls develop confidence, life skills, and a strong foundation. 👑 You Still Have Your CrownOne of the most powerful messages in this conversation is Victoria's mission through Healing, Enrich & Royalty (HER). She explains how HER was born during her own season of healing and how the organization represents the process of healing, being continually enriched, and remembering that you are royalty. Her mission is to remind women that their circumstances and past experiences do not erase their worth. 🔄 Breaking Cycles Requires ChangeVictoria also shares a powerful lesson for anyone trying to create a different life: Sometimes you have to change your environment to change your outcome. She explains that staying in familiar environments can make it easy to fall back into familiar patterns. For the people she serves, she encourages them to move away from environments that could pull them back into old cycles and toward environments that support their future. And that lesson isn't only for the people Victoria serves. It's for all of us. ❤️ A Conversation About HealingVictoria also opens up about finding her voice and sharing parts of her story that she had previously kept private. She explains that telling her story became part of freeing herself so that she could continue serving others without carrying bitterness from the past. She also discusses her contribution to the anthology Her Story, where her chapter, “Outspoken to Outbroken,” allowed her to share experiences from her childhood that she had never openly discussed before. 👑 Victoria's MessageEvery person is worthy of hope and healing and a new beginning. Unbearable Results: How to Heal, Learn From Your Mistakes & Move Forward

What happens when the decisions we've made lead to unbearable results? In this powerful episode of the Simpli' Sisters Podcast, Simpli' Tammy and Coach Gayl Benson unpack one of the most impactful chapters from Simpli' Tammy's book, A Woman's Guide to Living: Great Points of Relevance – The Fight Up. Chapter 10, “Unbearable Results,” explores what happens after painful decisions, difficult circumstances, loss, regret, guilt, and shame—and, most importantly, how we can begin to move forward. The conversation goes deeper than simply acknowledging what happened. Tammy and Gayl talk about examining why we made the decisions we made, understanding the roots behind our patterns, accepting accountability, learning the lesson, and using wisdom and healing to make better decisions moving forward. They also explore how unresolved pain can affect the people around us, creating relational strain in marriages, friendships, families, workplaces, and communities. And there's an important reminder throughout this conversation: You may have experienced an unbearable result, but you don't have to remain in that unbearable moment. One of the episode's most powerful reminders is: “The road behind you doesn't determine the road ahead, but the wisdom you carry forward does.” 📖 Get Simpli' Tammy's BookWant to go deeper into the conversation? EP 32: Healing While Still Showing Up: How to Heal, Set Boundaries & Keep Moving Forward

In this episode of the Simpli' Sisters Podcast, Coach Gayl Benson and Simpli' Tammy have a real conversation about healing while still showing up—because life doesn't stop just because you're hurting. You may still have to work. You may still have responsibilities. You may still have people depending on you. And you may still be figuring out how to process what you've experienced. But showing up doesn't mean masking the pain. In this conversation, the sisters talk about the importance of giving yourself grace, asking for help, setting boundaries, releasing old versions of yourself, changing your support system, and trusting God through the healing process. They also challenge the idea that strength means doing everything alone. Real strength can look like vulnerability. Real strength can look like asking for help. Real strength can look like slowing down. Real strength can look like setting a boundary. Real strength can look like admitting that something hurt you. And real strength can look like continuing to move forward while you're still healing. 👉 Subscribe to the Simpli' Sisters Podcast and join us every week for conversations for the soul. 👍 Like this episode 💬 Share your biggest takeaway in the comments 📲 Share this episode with someone who needs the reminder that they can keep going. EP 31: The Cost of Staying Comfortable: Is Your Comfort Zone Keeping You Stuck?

What is your comfort zone costing you? In this episode of the Simpli' Sisters Podcast, Simpli' Tammy and Coach Gayl Benson take a deep and transparent look at the cost of staying comfortable—and how comfort can quietly keep us from moving toward our purpose, growth, opportunities, and next level. Comfort may feel safe, but it can come with an invisible price: lost time, missed opportunities, delayed growth, negative self-talk, and remaining in situations that no longer align with who you're becoming. The sisters talk about what it means to move when you're afraid, listen for God's direction, prepare for what you're praying for, and trust the process even when you can't see the entire path. They also explore the difference between performing and progressing, why you can't skip the process, how private decisions reveal your character, and why preparation and proximity matter when you're ready for a new season. Ask Yourself:What is your comfort zone costing you? Are you actually growing, or have you simply learned how to function in the place you're in? What would happen if you took the first step—even before you knew exactly what the next step would be? This episode is your reminder that fear doesn't mean you can't move. Sometimes you have to move while you're afraid because growth is waiting on the other side of your comfort zone.
