Dr Joshua Modeste - "Burn The Chariots"

Welcome to CCBNYC, where we believe that when God gives you a word, He also gives you the strength to walk in victory! Today, we are blessed to hear from Deacon Dr. Joshua Modeste, preaching under the powerful title: “BURN THE CHARIOTS.” Doctor Joshua Modeste message comes from Joshua chapter 11 in the New Living Translation, where Joshua is facing an enemy army that is massive, powerful, and equipped with something Israel had never seen before—iron chariots. The enemy looked stronger. The enemy looked better equipped. The enemy appeared impossible to defeat. But God told Joshua in Joshua 11:6, “Do not be afraid of them.” What a powerful word! God was reminding Joshua that the size of the enemy does not determine the outcome when God is on your side. What looks impossible to you is never impossible for God. And then Joshua did something remarkable. Joshua 11:9 says that Joshua burned their chariots. Why would Joshua burn the chariots? Because God was teaching Israel not to depend on the weapons of their enemies. The chariots represented the strength, power, and advantage that had intimidated them. But once God gave them victory, Joshua made sure those chariots could never become a source of fear again. Sometimes, God will give you victory over the very thing that once intimidated you. And when God gives you that victory, don't keep the chariot—burn it! Burn the fear. Burn the doubt. Burn the intimidation. Burn the dependence on what looks powerful in the natural. Joshua 11 reminds us that God does not need our enemy to be weak for us to win. He only needs us to trust Him. So get ready for a powerful and timely word from Deacon Dr. Joshua Modeste as he brings the message: “BURN THE CHARIOTS!” Stay connected, open your heart, and prepare to receive what God has for you today. CCBNYC — Let the Word of God speak, let faith rise, and let every chariot that has been standing against you be burned! Be blessed, and let's get into the Word of God!

Pastor Luis Guzman - "Let God Sort Them Out"

“Let God Sort Them Out,” taken from Matthew 13:24–30 in the New Living Translation. Through the parable of the wheat and the weeds, Jesus reminds us that the enemy may sow confusion among God’s people, but the Lord Himself will separate the righteous from the wicked in His appointed time. Our calling is not to walk in bitterness, judgment, or revenge, but to remain faithful, holy, and full of the love of Christ while God works all things according to His perfect will. As we continue in Matthew 18:12–14, we see the heart of the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one that is lost. Heaven rejoices over every soul that repents and returns to the Father. The Word of God in Proverbs also gives us divine wisdom for daily living. Proverbs 26:11 warns us not to return to foolish ways like a dog returning to its vomit. Proverbs 17:22 teaches that “a cheerful heart is good medicine,” while Proverbs 19:19 reminds us about the danger of uncontrolled anger. Proverbs 15:3 declares that the eyes of the Lord are everywhere, watching both the evil and the good. Nothing escapes the sight of Almighty God. Through 1 Corinthians 15:3, we are reminded of the foundation of our faith: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. And in Matthew 28:16–20, Jesus gives the Great Commission, commanding His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Prepare your heart for a Holy Spirit-filled word that will encourage you to trust God’s justice, walk in forgiveness, remain faithful in difficult seasons, and allow the Lord of the harvest to separate and judge in His perfect timing.
