"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." — 2 Timothy 1:7 🌿 Don't forget to grab your FREE Rooted Woman devotional and check out the show notes below! Fear has a way of quietly weaving itself into motherhood. It doesn't always arrive loudly. More often, it disguises itself as concern, overthinking, perfectionism, or the need to stay in control. It sounds like: "What if something goes wrong?" "What if I'm not doing enough?" "What if I fail?" "What if I make the wrong decision?" Before we realize it, fear begins shaping our thoughts, influencing our decisions, and keeping us from fully stepping into the life God has called us to live. But God's Word reminds us of something powerful: Fear is not from Him. In this episode of the Rooted Woman Podcast, we're talking about what it looks like to let go of fear and walk by faith—even when the future feels uncertain. Because faith isn't the absence of fear. Faith is choosing to trust God in the middle of it. ✨ In this episode, we discuss: • How fear subtly shows up in motherhood • Why fear is not the voice we're meant to follow • Replacing fearful thoughts with God's truth • The difference between faith and certainty • Learning to trust God with your children's future • Taking small, daily steps of obedience • Finding peace in God's promises instead of your circumstances 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God has given us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. That means when fear whispers, "You're not enough," God's truth declares that He equips those He calls. When fear says, "Stay where it's safe," faith reminds us that God goes before us. When fear says, "You can't do this," faith responds, "God's grace is sufficient for me." One of the biggest areas moms battle fear is with their children. We want to protect them from every hurt, every disappointment, every struggle. We want to know they'll be okay. But motherhood was never meant to be lived from a place of control. It's meant to be lived from a place of trust. Trusting that God loves your children even more than you do. Trusting that He is writing their story just as faithfully as He is writing yours. Trusting that even when you don't know what's ahead, He does. And often, walking in faith doesn't look like one giant leap. It looks like one small act of obedience at a time. One prayer. One conversation. One surrender. One next step. Faith grows every time we choose obedience over fear. And over time, those small choices begin to build a life marked by confidence—not confidence in ourselves, but confidence in the God who never fails. If you've been feeling stuck in fear, overwhelmed by uncertainty, or hesitant to take the next step God is calling you toward, this episode is for you. Because God isn't asking you to have the entire path figured out. He's simply asking you to trust Him with the next step. And mama, He is faithful. 🎧 Listen to the Rooted Woman Podcast on: • Apple Podcasts • Spotify • Amazon Music • YouTube • iHeart Radio • And all major podcast platforms 🌿 Connect with Sarah: Instagram: @iamsarahwalston Facebook: Sarah Walston Rooted Woman Facebook Page ⭐ If this episode encouraged you: Share it with a friend who needs hope today.
