（英語要約は以下をご覧ください👇） ■ English Summary Title: Day 11 of Sobriety: Stepping into the "New Territory" of a Clear Mind Hi everyone, I’m Yoshifumi Sarukawa from Hashiru Oyasai. Today is Friday, May 22nd. I’m recording this 20th milestone episode after my fourth gym session of the week. Alongside my routine of morning walks and jumping rope, prioritizing my physical health has been a central theme this May. More importantly, today marks my 11th day of sobriety. Inspired by Haruki Murakami’s famous insight—“To smoke while running is a contradiction in terms”—I realized that drinking heavily while trying to optimize my health was equally contradictory. By viewing alcohol through a scientific lens as a substance to be managed, I’ve successfully established a healthy distance from it, leading to highly energized mornings at 4:05 AM. However, I’ve encountered an unexpected feeling: a strange sense of having too much downtime during the day. In the past, I used the energy needed to overcome a mild hangover as a driving force to jumpstart my day. Now that my body is consistently in an "I’m ready" state, I occasionally feel like I have energy left over. This reminds me of a concept discussed on a recent podcast: the Western (Aristotelian) view of maximizing potential versus the Eastern (Buddhist) view of eliminating noise. My recent decisions—deleting Instagram and quitting alcohol—fall into the Buddhist category of eliminating negative noise. Now that the noise is gone, my next challenge is to shift into an Aristotelian focus: learning how to apply this pure concentration to my deep work and business growth. Finally, today’s recipe features fresh potatoes harvested straight from our field: a crispy Potato Galette with a generous layer of melting cheese, finished with butter. It’s incredibly simple, yet captures the rich flavor of the potatoes perfectly.

（英語要約は以下をご覧ください👇） ■ English Summary (Approx. 2 mins) Title: Digital Audit: Reclaiming Focus and Mental Freedom Hi everyone, I’m Yoshifumi Sarukawa from Hashiru Oyasai. Today is Friday, May 15th. I’m recording this after a refreshing 30-minute bike ride along the river here in Miyazaki. Feeling the breeze and getting some exercise really helped clear my head and prepare me for today's topic: My Digital and SNS Audit. My day starts at 4:05 AM with my "Habit Stacking" routine. I begin with English on Duolingo, then move to law studies on my iPad. A unique part of my morning is using Gemini, my AI partner. When I upload my study notes for feedback, it greets me with, "Good morning, Sarukawa-san." Even though it's an AI, that small bit of recognition feels rewarding and keeps me motivated. It’s a reminder of how important simple communication is, even in a digital world. I’ve been closely monitoring Google Analytics for my EC site. I’ve found that about 30 to 40 dedicated supporters—roughly the size of a classroom—consistently visit my site every week. This core community is the result of my consistent posting of podcasts and blogs over the last six months. My next strategy is to shift from just "reaching" people to creating a "response"—focusing on how to turn those visits into deeper engagement and membership. The biggest change this week was deleting Instagram from my personal iPhone. Instagram is a brilliant tool, but it's designed to capture our attention and trigger our desire for social validation. I realized it was taking up too much of my mental energy. Now, I only access it through store devices during work hours. This physical boundary has made my mind incredibly clear and significantly improved my well-being. Finally, I’d like to share a recipe for a simple Tomato Sauce Pasta using our seasonal "new onions." The sweetness of these onions combined with canned tomatoes creates a flavor so fresh you wouldn't believe it's so simple. The secret is the pasta water: keep it at exactly 1.4% salt concentration. Toss your 1.6mm pasta with the sauce a minute before it’s done to achieve the perfect emulsion. Thanks for listening, and I'll see you in the next episode. Bye-bye!

#17: Youth, Grit, and the Perfect Dashi Recipe Hi, I’m Yoshifumi. On this last day of April, I'm reflecting on a wild adventure from my junior year of university: cycling 1,400km from Tokyo to my hometown in Miyazaki on a simple "Mamachari" (city bike). The 14-Day Journey: Along with two friends, I biked about 100km a day for two weeks. We relied on paper maps and slept outdoors or in internet cafes. It was a profound experience that taught me the true scale of Japan and the refreshing shift in air temperature when entering the mountains. The Power of Cycling: Cycling offers a unique sense of freedom and a physical challenge that stays with you. Now that marathon season is over, I'm ready to get back on my bike! Today's Dashi Recipe: I also share my recipe for Agedashi Tofu (Deep-fried tofu in broth). The Golden Ratio: Use a "Happo Dashi" (8 parts dashi stock, 1 part mirin, 1 part light soy sauce). It's a simple, affordable, and nutritious dish that my kids love.

3. English Summary Episode #16: Half-Marathon Resilience and the Science of "Aura Miso" Hi, I’m Yoshifumi. In this episode, I reflect on my recent experience running the Ebino Half Marathon in the pouring rain. A local leader’s words, "This rain is a blessing," completely changed my perspective on challenges. I also dive into my 5:00 AM routine, where I combine English learning with Legal Studies to become a business leader with deep legal expertise. Finally, I reveal the secret behind my signature "Oil Miso." After years of scientific research, I discovered that pre-heating the miso for 120 minutes creates a unique, deep umami. It’s more than just a condiment; it’s a tool for a better, easier morning. Stay Healthy,Stay Curious.
