    The Smurl family claimed their Pennsylvania home was haunted by something far more dangerous than a ghost. In 1986, Ed and Lorraine Warren became involved with the Smurl family and their infamous home in West Pittston, Pennsylvania.     What really happened inside the farmhouse that inspired The Conjuring? In 1971, the Perron family moved into a farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island, that would become one of the most famous haunted locations in modern paranormal history.
