Founder’s Associate: The Stepping Stone to Nowhere

One tiny Stockholm startup, 2.6 million Euros raised, a 13 million Euro letter of intent, an ex-McKinsey founder, a NATO accelerator, and a Founder's Associate role that promises "the steepest learning curve I can offer" ... in exchange for what the ad itself admits is "full ownership of you." This week Jen and Paul head to Sweden to figure out whether this is radical hiring transparency or the most honest burnout machine ever written. The contradictions are spectacular: education doesn't matter (but send your transcripts), the role is a stepping stone (that's nearly identical to the COO job they haven't filled), and the options will make you rich (while you personally watch the cap table dilute during the next fundraise). Paul does the math on what a 13 million Euro LOI for 40,000 sensors actually means, Jen identifies a chief of staff wearing a founder's costume, and both hosts agree on one thing: this founder wrote their own job ad, and it shows... for better and for worse. Check out the episode page for the full job ad, notes, and put on your own judge's hat by adding your score for the job ad here : https://roastthepost.show/p/founders-associate-the-stepping-stone-to-nowhere—Jen and Paul roast weekly in front of a live studio audience at https://roastthepost.show.
