    Podcast Summary — “Don’t Feed the Drama: Protecting Your Empath Energy” week 19th January 2026 This week Romella explores one of the most important themes for empaths at this time of year: protecting your energy by not feeding external drama. With January feeling long, cold, and collectively noisy, it’s easy to get pulled into stories, headlines, opinions, and emotional whirlwinds that have nothing to do with your actual path. The first pull of the cards (succulents / resilience) points to building internal strengthening — not so that we can “push harder,” but so we can stay in our lane and remain resourced when the world feels chaotic. The second card (caution) highlights how easily empaths can send their energy into places that drain the nervous system — particularly via the news cycle, social media, political commentary, and general “public theatre.” The invitation isn’t to disconnect from reality, but to stay aware without entangling yourself or pouring energy into timelines that are not yours to hold. The third card (heart) brings us straight back to self-love and self-care — rest, warmth, nourishment, hobbies, creativity, sleep, and anything that fills the emotional cup rather than empties it. We are still in the wintering phase before Imbolc, and the body, soul, and spirit respond well to slowing down. Finally, the crow card brings through the reminder of abundance — not just financially, but energetically. There is more than enough for everyone. We do not need to scrabble, compete, or fight for space. When we stay out of the drama and remain in our own truth, we naturally align to what is ours.
