    The Standard

Every man has a standard. Whether he realizes it or not. A standard for how he treats his wife.
A standard for how he raises his children.
A standard for how hard he works.
A standard for how he takes care of himself.
And a standard for his integrity when nobody is watching. The question isn’t whether you have a standard. The question is: What standard are you actually living by? In Episode 26 of The Roundtable for Men, we’re talking about the standards we set for ourselves, the standards we model for our families, and the standards that eventually become part of who we are. We talk about why our goals aren’t something we rise to—we fall to our standards. We talk about how standards slowly erode through small compromises. We talk about raising the standard instead of waiting for motivation. And we talk about the importance of doing the right thing when nobody is watching. Chad also gets personal about the standards he’s trying to build in his own life—including becoming a better husband, being more intentional with his wife, becoming a better father, and preparing himself to meet the Army’s standards. Because the standard doesn’t move. We do. And eventually, the standards we live by become the example our children grow up watching. During the Roundtable Reflection, you’ll have the opportunity to ask yourself: If nobody applauded your choices, would you still make them? If your children copied your standards, would you be proud? What standard have you quietly lowered? Because standards aren’t built in one day. Neither is character. Every decision matters. Every habit matters. Every promise matters. And eventually… The standard you live becomes the legacy you leave. Grab a drink, get comfortable, and pull up a chair. 💬 JOIN THE BROTHERHOOD The conversation doesn’t end when the episode does. The Conversations We Avoid

Episode 25: The Conversations We Avoid There are conversations we’ve had a hundred times… Not with another person. With ourselves. We rehearse what we’re going to say. We imagine how they’ll respond. We predict every possible outcome. We convince ourselves that tomorrow will be a better time. And sometimes… We never actually have the conversation. In this episode of The Roundtable for Men, we’re talking about the conversations we avoid and what happens when fear keeps us silent. We talk about why difficult conversations are so uncomfortable, how silence is still a decision, and how waiting doesn’t always make things better. Sometimes friendships fade. Marriages drift. Kids grow up. Opportunities disappear. And sometimes the conversation we avoid today becomes tomorrow’s greatest regret. We’ll also talk about the courage it takes to say: “I need help.” “I’m sorry.” “I was wrong.” “I love you.” “I miss you.” “I forgive you.” Because courage isn’t having difficult conversations without fear. Courage is having them despite the fear. So think about it… Who came to your mind while listening to this episode? And what conversation have you been replaying in your head without ever having? Grab a drink, get comfortable, and pull up a chair. 💬 Join the Brotherhood The conversation doesn’t end when the episode does.
