    Work-In-Progress Embracing the Journey Rev. Whitney Peper September 6, 2026 What helps us keep going in faith? In this sermon, Rev. Whitney Peper concludes our Work-In-Progress series by looking at Ephesians 3 and the journey of faith. Life with God includes seasons of growth, joy, struggle, uncertainty, hills, valleys, and everything between. Faith is not about reaching a point where we have everything figured out. Faith is about staying rooted in God’s love and continuing the journey with Christ. Through Jesus, we have bold access to God. We do not come to God because we have run a perfect race. We come because Jesus has made a way. And through the Holy Spirit, we are strengthened for the road ahead. Guiding Question: How can we stay rooted in God’s love through every season of the journey?     Leadership Equity

    A Work-In-Progress Leadership Equity Rev. Shuler Sitsch August 30, 2026 Who gets to lead in the church? In this sermon, Rev. Shuler Sitsch continues our A Work-In-Progress series by looking at Acts 6:1-7. As the early church grows, a conflict emerges when Hellenistic widows are neglected in the daily distribution of food. Rather than holding tightly to control, the apostles listen, respond, and invite the community to choose seven leaders who understand the need and can help bring justice. This story reminds us that leadership equity matters in the movement of God. The church is stronger when leadership reflects the gifts, experiences, backgrounds, and voices of the whole community. Leadership is not only about stepping up. Sometimes faithful leadership means stepping back, sharing power, passing the baton, and making room for others to shape the work at the table. Guiding Question: Where might God be calling you to step up, step back, or share leadership?     Work-In-Progress Welcoming Curiosity Rev. Whitney Peper August 23, 2026 Is it okay to have questions about faith? In this sermon, Rev. Whitney Peper continues our Work-In-Progress series by looking at Acts 8:26-31, where Philip is sent by the Holy Spirit to meet an Ethiopian eunuch who is reading Scripture and trying to understand what it means. Curiosity is not the opposite of faith. Questions can open us to growth, humility, deeper understanding, and new encounters with God. The Ethiopian eunuch is not idly curious. He is actively curious, reading Scripture, asking for guidance, and opening himself to what God might do next. As Mosaic continues to grow, we are called to be a church where questions are welcomed, curiosity is honored, and people walk alongside one another in faith.     Creating a Warm Community

    Work-In-Progress Creating a Warm Community Rev. Shuler Sitsch August 16, 2026 What makes a church feel warm? In this sermon, Rev. Shuler Sitsch continues our Work-In-Progress series by looking at John 13:31-35, where Jesus gives his disciples a new commandment: “Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.” Warm community does not happen by accident. It begins when people choose to love others as God loves us. It grows when belonging comes before believing. And it continues when we remember there is always room to become more welcoming, more loving, and more attentive to the people God is placing in front of us. As Mosaic looks toward the rest of this year and into 2027, we are invited to keep becoming a church where people can walk in and find warmth, kindness, belonging, and the love of God.     Believing in Miracles

    Work-In-Progress Believing in Miracles Rev. Shuler Sitsch August 9, 2026 What does it mean to believe in miracles today? In this sermon, Rev. Shuler Sitsch begins our Work-In-Progress series by looking at Mark 2:1-12, where four friends carry a paralyzed man to Jesus, climb onto a roof, tear it open, and lower their friend into the room. When Jesus sees their faith, he responds with forgiveness, healing, and new life. Miracles can be hard to believe in a “prove it” world. But this story reminds us that faith is not only something we hold inside. Faith moves. Faith acts. Faith carries people toward Jesus. As Mosaic continues to grow as a church, we are invited to believe that God is still doing extraordinary things among us and to ask where our gifts, talents, and lives can become part of that work.     Ask Us Anything, Week 3 Pastor Whitney Peper and Christy Erwin August 2, 2026 In the final week of Ask Us Anything, Pastor Whitney and Christy sit down together to answer questions submitted by the Mosaic community. This week’s conversation explores why there are so many women named Mary in the Bible, what Jesus may have been like as a toddler, why God gave us emotions like anger, and how the story of Jesus turning over tables in the temple helps us think about righteous anger, justice, and removing barriers between people and God. The conversation is honest, curious, thoughtful, and a little bit playful, which is exactly what happens when good questions are welcomed in the life of the church.
