    LU Alumna Earns Fulbright Award, Students Attend Alternative Spring Break, Oklahoma's Promise Scholarship - March 2026

    Langston University alumna Danielle Jones is the only teacher from Oklahoma to earn the prestigious Fulbright Award for the 2025-2026 year. Learn more about Mrs. Jones, how she's making an impact and what the award means to her. LU Student Leader Cambrie Cannon was the site organizer for the second annual Alternative Spring Break trip. This year, students traveled to New Orleans not just to enjoy the city, but also to complete many community service projects. Listen to learn more about their trip! Oklahoma's Promise is a scholarship program for in-state students funded by the Oklahoma Regents for Higher Education.     SPECIAL: LU Men's Basketball Prepares for NAIA National Championship (With Coach Chris Wright)

    The Langston University Men's Basketball Team earned the #4 seed in the Liston Quadrant for this year's NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship after runner-up finished in both the Sooner Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament. The Lions will host the first and second rounds of the tournament on March 13-14. Their first game is at 5 p.m. on March 13 against Bethel (Tenn.).     SPECIAL: LU Women's Basketball Prepares for NAIA National Championship (With Coach Chris Vincent)

    The Langston University Women's Basketball team won the regular season Sooner Athletic Conference championship and earned the #8 seed in the Naismith Quadrant for this year's NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship. The Lady Lions will travel to Tennessee to face the #9 seed Bethel (Ind.) Pilots in the first round of the tournament on March 13.     New Physical Therapy Clinic, K-INBRE Student Research, Business School Testing Excellence, Black History Month - Jan. 2026

    Langston University is building a physical therapy clinic right on its Langston Campus to not only assist in training its doctoral students, but to help the community as well. Learn more from Dr. Elicia Pollard, Dean of the School of Physical Therapy, and Dr. Anthony Sylvester, Director of Clinical Studies. Juliane Simmons, a senior biology student and student researcher for K-INBRE, discusses his recent trip to the K-INBRE Symposium, where he was able to present his research. For the second semester in a row, Langston University School of Business seniors scored in the top 1% nationally on the Peregrine Outbound Business Exam. Dr. Daryl Green, Dean of the School of Business, is here to discuss. Black History Month is almost here!
