EPISODE 016: How to listen to your emotions 101

What if the emotion you’re ashamed of is actually trying to tell you something? For today’s episode, class is in session and we’ll be schooling you on how to listen to your emotions without judging them; so sit back, get your pen and paper and take notes. The episode starts off with tee sharing all the interesting stuff she’s heard about lately. We discovered that there’s a term for “blowing” (in the Nigerian sense) and that it’s called the ‘The Nigerian Dream’( shout out to ISWIS) In this episode, we’re in our feelings and we discussed some popular emotions that usually get judged usually because they’re termed “ugly” or “uncomfortable” and why these feelings have so much bad PR. We also discuss the importance of addressing these emotions however uncomfortable they may be as most times they are indicators of something deeper that we’re probably avoiding or refusing to acknowledge. We did some really insightful and mind boggling would-you-rathers and then ended the episode with some unsolicited advice on how handle these emotions. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed recording this episode. Until next time. Ciao! EPISODE 014: Embracing the (yo)U in ugly

Happy Saturday guys… lol, on this episode we decided to shake things up a bit and add something different at the beginning of the episode… can’t spoil the surprise so you’d have to check to know what it is… hope you like ; ). Now, on to the main koko of the day ↓. Where do you draw the line on accepting yourself for who you are? It’s just us today on the pod and we’ll be discussing a topic that’s very pertinent in our society today. It’s something that in some ways dictates how we go through life especially as young people. If you guessed it right (and can probably tell from the episode title) tee, fortune and Davido will be discussing about beauty standards and the importance of embracing yourself for who you are and being content with it! We start off by letting you in on what we’ve been up to since the last time we spoke and we talk about the recent P-square drama ( it is now safe to say that money and family do not go well together at all), we then get into the nitty gritty of the episode and we talk about why it seems like we now have warped views on what the beauty standards should be. We also asked a very important on who or what defines the beauty standards( feel free to let us know what you think in the comment sections of our social media handles). We then did some really insightful would-you-rathers and then ended the episode by giving some likkle tips on how to (as one of the greatest musicians of our time said) be comfortable in your skin. We really enjoyed recording this and we hope you enjoy listening to it too. Until next time! Episode 012: Commandment X

Should gratitude come from appreciating your own life or from comparing it to someone else’s? This week’s episode is only something we can describe as short and sweet one as it’s one of our shortest episodes, it also takes the cake for the episodes with the highest amount of questions asked [maybe you guys can find answers for us, lol] .We’re taking things slow this episode so it’s just us; tee, fortune and Davido [day ones] on the pod this week and we talk about being grateful without having to compare our situations to other people. Before we get into the episode, we discuss a bit about insecure’s new podcast,(which you should all check out), secondary school miracles and tee’s endless man-crushes. We talked about how it feels like such a Nigerian thing to always one-up others especially when it comes to church testimonies (iykyk) and why gratitude only seems to have more value when it’s compared to other people’s lives. We ended the episode with some insightful would-you-rathers and of course our watch word of the day which is always self awareness or awareness of one-self as tee puts it. Do yourself a favour and make listening to this week’s episode a part of your to-do list! Enjoyyy! Episode 010: Finding comfort in YOU ft Ameye

Can we truly be alone without ever feeling lonely? This week to celebrate our tenth episode; fortune, tee (and Davido) are joined by our second feature guest in the history of the pod, Ameye (someone you could also call the queen of side quests). They chat a bit about what’s it like for Ameye being a content creator, a medical student and still having time to pursue so many side quests and how she manages to handle all of it. Very interesting would-you-rathers were done and then they got into the main topic of the episode. They discuss why it almost always seems like most people are afraid of being alone. They also talk about some of the benefits of doing things alone and how it could help with self development. They end the episode by giving some helpful tips to as the episode title suggests finding comfort in yourself. Don’t sleep on this episode because as always it truly is one for the books! Enjoyyyy! EPISODE 009: The big, bad FAILURE

Episode 009: The big, bad FAILURE Do you think people fear failure or what failure might reveal about them? On this week’s episode we’re talking all things failure; the different shades of failure and the relativity of failure. Before properly getting into the episode, Tee talks about her short trip to the Vatican City and asks what nostalgia feels like physically. Some really interesting would-you-rathers were done after they messed up, got into the main gist of the episode and forgot about them [due to interesting gist, like always] . They talked about the good aspects of failure and the reasons why failure seems like a bad thing to most people. They also talk about the consequences of being afraid of failure. The episode ends with the crew giving us some helpful tips on how to overcome the fear of failure. Don’t forget to rate the podcast on wherever you listen to podcasts and leave a review on our social media accounts.
