Episode 11- 550'000 Reasons To Keep Going. Even When You Can't See It Working

I went to a tulip field at the weekend. 550,000 bulbs. And I couldn’t stop thinking about it afterwards. Not one of those bulbs waited to feel ready. Not one of them asked for permission to bloom. They were planted, nurtured and when the time came they just grew. Towards the light. Without apology. And it got me thinking about the two ways we get in our own way. The first is not planting at all. Keeping the bulb in the bag. Waiting until conditions feel perfect. Until we feel ready enough. The second, and this one is just as sneaky, is planting and then digging it up before it has a chance to grow. Changing everything because we can’t see results yet. Pivoting from fear not from wisdom. In this episode I’m talking about both. The good girl conditioning that keeps us waiting. The expectation gap that makes us uproot before we bloom. The weeds we need to pull. And what happens when we finally trust the process enough to leave the bulb in the ground. There are 550,000 reasons not to dig. This episode is all of them. 2. Episode 6 - Feeling Good Shouldn't Feel Naughty. And yet...

Episode 6 - Feeling Good Shouldn't Feel Naughty. And yet...

Have you ever given yourself the afternoon off and spent most of it feeling guilty? Booked the hair appointment on a Tuesday and felt like you were skiving the whole time? Built something you genuinely love, and still can’t quite believe you’re allowed to enjoy it? That feeling has a name. And it’s not a character flaw. It’s not weakness. It’s a programme that never got updated. In this episode I get properly real about the performing fine identity, what it looks like, where it comes from, and what starts to shift when you finally stop running it. We talk about the busyness that became an identity. The mask that became a habit. The moment something changed. And what life actually looks like on the other side, including why I barely looked at my phone when I helped my best friend move house last week. Which might not sound like much. But trust me. It was everything. Oh... and whether you’re working or vibing. Because the word matters more than you think. This one’s for the women who’ve made the brave move and are still waiting to feel like they’re allowed to enjoy it. Spoiler: you are. 3. Episode 5 - What Daniel Priestley Said That I Can't Stop Thinking About..

Episode 5 - What Daniel Priestley Said That I Can't Stop Thinking About..

I listened to the Daniel Priestley episode of Diary of a CEO yesterday. And I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since.   Not because of the AI stuff, though that's part of it. Because of something deeper that it unlocked. A concept called the Jevons Paradox. And the way it's playing out not just externally, but internally, for so many of us right now.   More tools. More frameworks. More access to content, information, answers, resources and so much more, than any generation before us. And yet the internal noise is louder than ever. More people feeling lost, disconnected, unsure of themselves despite having everything they're supposed to need.   That's not a coincidence. And in this episode I'm unpacking why.   We talk about the speed of this shift, and why it changes everything about the urgency of the internal work. About backing yourself before the confirmation arrives. About what actually makes you irreplaceable in a world where AI can do almost everything else. And about why Magnetic Self-Trust isn't the "nice-to-have" It's the foundation. Oh..and there's a moment at the end involving some rather perfect timing that made me smile. Cup of tea. No lecture. Just me thinking out loud about something that landed. Want to go deeper on this ?
