    Send a text The culture of New Zealand Boxing has been toxic for years. Yes, there has been some success, but many athletes carry regret and have left the sport altogether due to selection, bullying, unprofessional behaviour, etc. We can focus on the current coach in the media, but the truth is, he is just one in a long line of poor coaches. When will something ever be done about it? I would suggest a few uppercuts be handed out, which is boxing-speak for 'fall on their sword.' I give first-hand experience around regretting the decision to throw in the towel at the peak of my sporting career, despite the media articles, talking to officials - nothing changed then, and it seems nothing has changed now. Trevor talks about his life moment at 11 years of age that changed the course of his life.
