    2024: Your Plans Changed—Your Purpose Didn’t

Peace family! Thank you for tuning into another episode of the Lead Your Lineage Podcast. Life doesn't always go according to plan. You can prepare. You can set goals. You can create the perfect strategy. And then life happens. In this episode of Lead Your Lineage, we're talking about what it means to adapt when unexpected obstacles force you to change directions. Sometimes the original plan doesn't work. Sometimes circumstances change. Sometimes opportunities disappear. Sometimes responsibilities show up that you weren't expecting. And sometimes life simply takes you somewhere you never planned to go. The question isn't whether you'll face obstacles. The question is: Who will you become when you face them? Being able to adapt doesn't mean giving up on your goals. Sometimes it means finding a different route to get there. You may have to adjust your strategy. Change your timeline. Learn something new. Ask for help. Start over. Or accept that the next chapter looks different from what you originally imagined. That's part of growth. Because you can't always control what happens around you—but you can control how you respond to it. The plan may change. The goal may take longer. But that doesn't mean the journey is over. 2024: Becoming ThePolishedLady | Purpose, Growth & Building Your Legacy

Peace family! Nationwide she is known as ThePolishedLady, family and friends call her Kelah. Behind every brand is a person. Behind every person is a story. In this episode of Lead Your Lineage, we sit down with ThePolishedLady for a conversation about her journey, personal growth, purpose, family, entrepreneurship, and the legacy she's working to create. This conversation goes beyond the name. It's about understanding the experiences, lessons, decisions, and mindset that helped shape the woman behind ThePolishedLady. We talk about what it means to become intentional about who you are, how you present yourself to the world, what you're building, and the impact you want your life and work to have on others. Because building a brand isn't only about business. It's about identity. It's about purpose. It's about impact. And ultimately, it's about deciding what you want your name to represent long after you leave the room. Whether you're building a business, pursuing your purpose, developing yourself, or trying to create something meaningful for your family, this conversation is a reminder that what you build should be connected to who you're becoming. 2023: Are You Truly In Alignment With The Real You?

Are you living the life YOU actually want—or the life you were taught, expected, or pressured to live? In this episode of Lead Your Lineage, we have a conversation about alignment and what it really means to live in a way that reflects who you truly are. It's easy to become disconnected from yourself. You can chase someone else's definition of success. Stay in environments you've outgrown. Maintain relationships that no longer align with your values. Pursue goals because they look good to other people. Or become a version of yourself that everyone else accepts—but you don't recognize. At some point, you have to ask yourself: Is the life I'm living actually aligned with the person I want to become? Alignment requires self-awareness. It means understanding your values, your purpose, your priorities, and the kind of life you genuinely want to build. And sometimes getting into alignment requires making uncomfortable decisions. Changing direction. Setting boundaries. Walking away. Starting over. Or simply admitting that something that once worked for you doesn't anymore. Because when you're leading yourself, your family, and ultimately your lineage, you can't build your future around a version of yourself that isn't real. The goal isn't to become who everyone else expects you to be. The goal is to become who YOU were meant to be. 2023: We Give Strangers Grace—Why Not Our Family?

Peace family! Thanks for tuning into another dynamic episode from the Co-Hosting Cousins! In this episode we speak about the importance of giving our family members grace! Sometimes the people we love the most are the people we expect the most from. And when they disappoint us, hurt us, misunderstand us, or simply don't show up the way we expected them to, giving them grace can be difficult. We're talking about what it means to give our family members grace while still maintaining healthy boundaries and accountability. Our parents are human. Our siblings are human. Our cousins are human. And just like us, they're learning, growing, making mistakes, dealing with their own experiences, and trying to figure life out. Giving someone grace doesn't mean pretending they didn't hurt you. It doesn't mean accepting disrespect. And it doesn't mean removing accountability. Sometimes grace simply means recognizing that the people in our families are imperfect people—just like we are. If we want stronger families, we have to learn how to communicate through disagreements, forgive when appropriate, establish boundaries when necessary, and leave room for the people we love to grow. Because one day, we're going to need grace too. As humans, we have our own missions and as we figure that out, we will make mistakes. That’s where grace comes into play. Sean & Taron unpack the experiences they have encountered with giving themselves and loved ones grace. With it being the “holiday” season, we encourage all families to make space for one another and share grace! 2023: Our Parents Failed Us On This And We're Just Now Realizing It

In this episode, we have an important conversation about the lessons, tools, and guidance we may not have received from our parents and previous generations. But this conversation isn't about blaming our parents. It's about recognizing what was missing and taking responsibility for what happens next. Our parents could only teach us from what they knew, experienced, and understood themselves. In many cases, they were navigating struggles and generational patterns that were passed down to them too. But once WE recognize what's missing, we have a decision to make: Do we continue the pattern—or do we become the generation that changes it? Part of leading your lineage means learning what you weren't taught. Developing what wasn't developed in you. Having conversations your family avoided. Teaching the next generation what you had to learn on your own. And giving your children and family a stronger foundation than the one you inherited. We can't change how we were raised. But we CAN change what the generations after us experience. Your parents' limitations don't have to become your children's limitations. Sean digs into how he is dealing with his emotions as a man. From not feeling emotionally attached, to getting more emotionally involved in everything he does. Taron explains how he keeps his peace doing disastrous times. Being able to find the eye of the storm and learn from the current situation instead of complaining or being stressed. This raw conversation will leave you thinking about life differently. 2023: Different Doesn't Mean Wrong, Our Differences Build The World

Peace family! In the world we live in today, life has conditioned us to separate from people that are different from us. Ideologies, ethnicity, values, etc make the world different but that doesn’t mean we have to be distant. Partnership, relationship, companionship, championship all have the word “ship” in it. We encourage you to lean into what makes you different, with confidence. Please don’t neglect the “ship” that we all have in common!!! In this episode of Lead Your Lineage, we discuss the importance of recognizing, respecting, and learning from the differences between us. We aren't all supposed to think the same. We don't have the same experiences. We don't have the same personalities. We don't have the same gifts, perspectives, strengths, or approaches to life. And that's okay. Sometimes we become so attached to our own way of seeing the world that we automatically assume someone who thinks differently must be wrong. But different doesn't always mean wrong. Our differences can challenge us to grow, expose us to perspectives we've never considered, and allow people with different strengths to come together to build something none of us could build alone. This applies to our friendships. Our businesses. Our communities. And especially our families. If we're serious about building stronger families and stronger generations, we have to learn how to communicate, collaborate, and respect people who don't always see the world exactly the way we do. The world doesn't need everybody to be the same. It needs each of us to bring something different to it. 2023: You Can’t Change Your Life Until You Change Your Mindset | ft. Jamichael Fann

Peace family! In this episode, we sit down with Jamichael Fann for a conversation about growth, mindset, personal responsibility, purpose, and becoming the person your future requires. Jamichael Fann, runs the Wic's Dad program, is a member of BMG (Black Men’s Group), and a dedicated father & husband. We all have things we want to change. Our finances. Our relationships. Our careers. Our families. Our circumstances. But sometimes we're waiting for everything around us to change without first examining the person in the mirror. Real transformation requires accountability. It requires making different decisions, developing new habits, challenging old ways of thinking, and being willing to become someone you've never been before. Because the decisions you make today don't only affect you. They can influence your family, the people around you, and ultimately the lineage that comes after you. If you want different results, you have to be willing to become different.
